Our stay at this beautiful dar, located in the heart of the Medina, was truly enjoyable. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The property was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. We would not hesitate to recommend this dar to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

There was only a thin curtain in the bathroom, and the window directly faced another house with a rooftop terrace. In the evenings, people who live in that house were on the terrace and could see into both our room and the bathroom. For privacy and comfort, a thicker curtain or better window covering would have been appreciated.

Sumptuous breakfasts with delicious fresh fruits, airy quiet rooms, tasteful decor, close to the main shopping streets. Essential to have a superior room with exterior windows.

Small showers. Better not visit Essaouira if you are allergic to cats.

Beautiful hotel in a surprisingly quiet location. Great breakfast each morning and many other eating options only a short walk away.

The shower didn't have a curtain, meaning the bathroom and bathmat got soaked every time we showered.

The downstairs was nice and cozy and the styling of the rooms was good.

Note that there is no air conditioning and no in-room fan. You basically have to sleep with the window open to keep things cool — and that means city noise, early bird squawking, prayers, and a lot of cat fights. The bathroom facilities were a little grubby and our shower had a broken overhead spigot so you had to use the wand — and the wand’s attachment to the wall was broken which made it hard to shower.

Great Ryad, great host, great room. The host is adorable and here to give a lot of advice which really improved our stay. The hotel is close to a door of the Medina which is convenient if you plan to go out of the Medina during the evening.

Farther away of main attractions of the Medina(from 10 to 30min), felt like a bit out the the touristic center of the Medina

Breakfast was delicious. The staff was very accommodating. They brought our heavy luggage up to our rooms (there is not elevator) and assisted with medication storage.

The room was small but clean however the bathroom needed a deep clean particularly the shower which had mildew in the tile grout. Also, the walking path leading to the hotel was under construction....all the walking areas up to the hotel were ripped up so accessing the hotel was extremely difficult. Hotel should have emailed all prospective guests to let us know.

Conveniently located. Defo get the wow factor when you walk in. Very beautiful. Host super friendly. Comfy bed.

Breakfast didn’t start until 9am which we felt was a little late.

Small boutique hotel with good breakfast included

Very difficult to get suitcases there bc it was a dirt road that wasn’t paved. No AC (forgot to check that prior to booking) and bathrooms were very outdated. Entrance to hotel was in a small alley and surrounding area was very unkempt.

This is a very quiet place with very friendly and nice staff. Cozy. You can drink tea or coffee right away. A place to relax in the noisy medina. Delicious and big breakfast. Beautifully decorated rooms. Nice atmosphere.

Old plumbing. View from the window. Water pressure. Steep stairs, but that's the case in almost all riads.
