How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe woman checking us in was very nice..
The room was not as described. Despite the Dar saying it had air conditioning, our room did not, and even though a fan was provided, we had no windows in our room, so we had no access to any fresh air...the fan just blew hot air around the room. Also, they said parking was provided on site- NO it is is not! It is located in the center of the market-- no cars are allowed anywhere near this area...we had to park 15 min. away.

Verified reviewA beautiful and quiet place to stay, full of the charm of the old city. Once inside, the noise of the streets disappears. The hosts were kind and welcoming. Thank you for the great hospitality. Its location near all amenities and the warm service make it worth the price.

Verified review- helpful staff 🙂 - a place where you sleep, clean toilets.
- it would be better to invest on an A.C, since it’s getting hot. - 200dh ok , but it would be fair enough if there is an A.C 😄

Verified reviewNothing it's in the centre of Madina
The rooms are really small pictures don't do justice and also not as described. No ventilation fan or ac. Plus lots of noise from the side/top rooms. Broken chair and the bed was shaking. You can't even stand in the toilets. It was suggested by booking.com as my original booking was cancelled and no where to stay so I just killed myself staying there for two days. Be careful no parking/ventilation or only three people can stand in the room and will be no room for another person
We are honestly shocked by your review. Not because of your complaints which seem exaggerated and misleading but because of your own behavior during your stay. You were disrespectful not only to our staff, who tried to accommodate you despite the last-minute booking, but also to other guests. You accepted the room after seeing it, and no complaint was made at the time. Now you choose to write an angry and disrespectful review, ignoring the fact that Booking.com offered this alternative due to your original cancellation not us. Also, insulting the property and calling it “killing yourself” is extreme and unnecessary. Next time, we suggest choosing a luxury hotel if basic, affordable accommodation in the center of Medina isn’t good enough for you. We also advise treating people with more respect. Not every place is for everyone and clearly, this one wasn’t for you.

Verified reviewThe girl that showed me the room was nice and the location is good. That's all the positive
I tried several times to communicate with the Riad some days before my arrival to ask about parking. There was no response, not through the booking.com app and not via the phone number. I thought they went out of business. Also booking.com service (which did a good job) could not reach them. When they finally answered there was no excuse given. In the booking.com description the Riad said the public parking nearby was 2 euro while it was 10. I think communication is important and they failed. The rest was ok but not great.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you appreciated the hospitality of our staff and the central location of our Riad. We sincerely apologize for the communication difficulties you experienced prior to your arrival. We always aim to be responsive, and we’re looking into what may have gone wrong during that period. Regarding the parking, we provide guests with the best information available to us, but unfortunately public parking rates can vary depending on season, time of day, and the parking operator. We understand how that discrepancy could be frustrating and we’ve updated our listing to reflect this more clearly. We strive to offer a positive experience to all our guests and regret that we didn’t fully meet your expectations. Nonetheless, we appreciate your stay and wish you all the best in your future travels

Verified reviewBeautiful place tucked in the heart of the Medina, perfect location for exploring Rabat. The hosts were so lovely, and couldn’t have been more helpful with recommendations for everywhere and quick to respond when we had any questions.
