Reviews of Dar Relax Hostel, Gorges de Todra

My stay at Dar Relax Hostel was overall good. The location in Todgha Gorge is beautiful, and it’s a nice place to spend a night or two. The highlight of the stay was definitely Rashid – very kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. He made the experience much better with his friendly attitude.

That said, there were some things that could be improved. There were no mosquito nets, which made it a bit uncomfortable at night. Also, air conditioning was missing, and the room itself felt quite simple – decent for the price, but nothing special.

Amazing hosts. Location next to the river, it felt peaceful. Walking distance to the gorge if you have time (and the weather is not sweltering). I was only there for a night but could have stayed longer to relax and chill. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.

The terras is so nice and peaceful, next to the river. Rachid and Maci are perfect hosts, always working hard to make sure you have everything you need. They helped us to find someone to climb with and gave us some nice hiking tips in the area. Thank you guys, hope we see each other again ;)

The location is fabulous, with gorgeous views over the river & mountains. We were well taken care of by Rachid & Maxie & were made to feel at home. It was nice to see the little basket of extras: hair-dryer & toiletries.

The meals were lovely, but for the same price, we had received heartier meals at previous locations before staying here. Towels are not provided, but you can ask for them & they will be given. Note: For people without a car, they would have to get a taxi from town.

Everything was perfect. Super friendly and helpful staff, beautiful location, delicious food. Would’ve stayed longer if we could.

car park is bit tricky

True, this residence was a tad hard to located (it is down some obscure stairs). But the overall residence has a nice feel to it. That includes the river-side patio.

The Host and his girlfriend were really nice and caring. The Location and the accommodations are very nice and clean. There are many places inside the hostel to relax. The breakfast and the dinner which you can book separately are very good and tasty. Especially the dinner is very good. You can decide between a few options. The host cooks it himself and i would recommend the berber pizza. I would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone! We just wanted to stay for one night but we decided to extend because we had a very good feeling while staying.

Very friendly staff and beautiful views

It was cold when we were here in January and it was very chilly at night, there wasn't a heater that could keep the room warm. The host did their best to make us comfortable but I would think twice before booking it in winter.

I don't know where to start! Rachid is just an amazing person and host, makes sure you feel super welcome. He makes the best coffees, cooks delicious food and is more than happy to give you recommendations for the area. Next to that, he is a great connector and knows a lot of fun games. The location next to the river is very beautiful.

A perfect location, a stunning view from the shared terrace, a very hospital and kind host, a nice traditional breakfast.

The rooms are very basic. It was extremely cold in the end of December, so we slept in cloths and under 3 blankets. The shower in our room should be updated.

Host was really friendly. They spent with us a lot of time, talking, playing music and having fun. Food was delicious. They also gived us recommendations about next steps of our travel. Location is really good, walking distance from the gorge.

We were there in December so it was a bit cold but we received extra heating machine.

Very cold in the room, had a bad smell that leached into all of my clothes afterwards, shower has poor drainage and has risk of flooding into bedroom after very short time

The couple host was really good and also helped with info for trying out various activities around.

Extemely well located to admire the valley which is only 3 minutes drive away from the hostel. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend.

Rachid is a brilliant host, the views, the cosy nature of the place, and the excellent food.

Great hospitality from start to finish. The scenery was fabulous and host ( Rachid and Abdel) were super nice. Would really recommend to everyone.
