How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt was an one night stopover for us. We arrived at 10pm and left the next morning. We just wanted a clean place with beds to sleep and a clean bathroom in a central location, which we got from here. There were toileteries in the bathroom. Car can't come right here, we parked in a parking garage for central market and walked 400m. At door steps, we rang the bell and someone opened the door. Despite the location in the middle of the action, we didn't hear much noise at night and fellow housemates were quiet too. There was a cute small dog, probably the family pet roaming in the common room.
Bathroom floor is at the slippery side.

Verified reviewWe couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Rabat. The location was perfect—right in the heart of the medina but still quiet and restful. The riad’s terrace was our favorite part: peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect spot to relax after sightseeing. The riad itself was spotless and tastefully designed, and the staff were helpful and courteous. A perfect stay from start to finish!

Verified reviewThe hostel is inside the medina. A 10 mins walk from the train station. Lots of shops and food options outside the hostel. Clean, comfortable and spacious.
None.

Verified reviewThe location was good, room was generally clean, but, like in whole Morocco, blankets were quite disgusting. Bathroom was ok.
We didn’t get the remote for AC and there wasn’t host, so we couldn’t ask for it. During the night there are a lot of noises from the Medina, even with windows closed. In the morning there is a lot of noise from the cock and chickens.
Thank you for your enlightening review—it’s always fascinating when someone books a budget stay in the center of a centuries-old Medina and expects five-star Swiss silence and spa-grade linens. Our blankets are professionally cleaned, but perhaps no level of hygiene could have met your evidently fragile standards. Judging by your tone, it seems dirt isn’t the only thing you struggle to handle. You didn’t bother to ask for the AC remote, didn’t contact us, and yet somehow assumed it would appear magically. Hospitality isn’t telepathy. Noise? Yes, welcome to Morocco. It’s called culture, not a defect. If roosters and city life disturb you, next time consider booking a monastery—or better yet, stay home. Warmest regards (with clean blankets).

Verified reviewGood location, close to sights and not too far from Rabat Ville train station (walking distance). Room was very clean and shared shower/toilet clean. The best/cleanest place I stayed at in Morocco.
Nothing really, nowhere is ever without noises (especially the speakers calling to prayer) and this was no exception.

Verified reviewExtremely friendly staff. Very central location. I could walk or catch a bus to all of the tourist attractions in and near Rabat.
The rooms look out onto a narrow alley in the Medina. There is a lot of loud conversation until around midnight. The lights and position of switches in the room are not very well planned.

Verified reviewVery friendly and helpful staff. Central location. I could walk ( or bus) to all the tourist attractions.
There was a lot of noise from the street. Even late at night. The light switches in the room are a long way from the bed, which is inconvenient.

Verified reviewThe bed was comfortable. Ac and shower were good. The roof terrace was nice and provided a place to dry clothes. The location was good.
The family who owns it live there, so it sort of felt like we were in their way a couple of times. This isn’t a big considering the price.

Verified reviewThe terrace
The bed was uncomfortable, it was not good conditions for sleeping and it hurts my back.
What do we expect from a spiteful and substandard Moroccan immigrant?

Verified reviewThe best location in Rabat! In the center of the Medina. The staff was really nice and welcoming. It's a basic accomodation, with shareware bathroom, but has everything you need for a low budget stay! Lot's of eating facilities nearby!
The morning call to prater of the mosque is really loud and wakes you up (at around 7AM). But that is of course part of a stay in Morocco
