The bathrooms are a little small, with an open shower set-up, that is typical in Morocco. However, it was very clean and we had no struggles. I would not recommend it for anyone who struggles with walking up and down stairs and tight spaces.

Beautiful apartment with enough space inside and with 2 outside terraces. It was in a really great location to access the main road to grab a taxi and to walk in the Old Medina where all the shops, restaurants and attractions are. Mohamed is a very attentive and helpful host. I think this is a very good apartment for what is on offer in Tangier.

Staying at Dar Tazrout felt like stepping into a Moroccan fairytale. Tucked away in the heart of Tangier's Old Medina, this traditional home offered an experience that was both authentic and deeply comforting. The riad is a beautifully restored three-level house, full of soul and craftsmanship: intricate tilework, warm wooden details, and a calm, cozy atmosphere throughout. Every room was spotless and thoughtfully decorated. The rooftop terrace was our favorite spot: peaceful, private, and perfect for morning coffee or watching the Medina come alive at sunset. The location is ideal, just a short walk from landmarks like the American Legation, Dar el Makhzen, and the Kasbah. You’re right in the middle of the city’s energy, yet the house itself remains a quiet and intimate retreat. Mohamed, our host, was exceptional. He met us personally to guide us in, and remained attentive, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. Dar Tazrout is a rare find. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a rich, grounded, and beautiful experience of Tangier, whether you're a couple, solo traveler, or exploring with friends or family.

I would have to think very hard to answer this. I loved everything and felt immediately at home. Taller people should watch their heads going up the stairs as they slant a bit going up. But that is a most minor point.

The charming host met me at the nearby mosque square and escorted me to the house. Such a wonderful guy. It was spotless and totally comfortable and clean. It’s an ideal location in between the Medina and the Kasbah. 2 terraces for relaxing. Honestly I would have no hesitation in staying there again. It was also easy to keep my bags there a little longer before I moved on. First rate in every way!

Downstairs shower room with toilet much too small to have a shower but shower upstairs was fine.

Mohamed is an excellent host - met us at the grand mosque and walked with us to the apartment which was only a few minutes away. The apartment was comfortable, 2 bedrooms and one useable shower. Host always replied to any queries via WhatsApp- great communication.

The bathrooms are quite small and odd-shaped (due to the odd shape of the building) so you need to be compact when taking a shower! For accessibility considerations and if you have large/heavy luggage: One bedroom and bathroom is on the ground floor, and one bedroom and bathroom up one flight of stairs. If you are driving, from the carpark the apartment is a 5-min walk uphill with a set of stairs into the medina.

Beautiful house, a Moroccan-style stay. Both rooms are spacious, and clean. The bathrooms and kitchen are fully equipped and clean. The 3-level house was much larger than we expected, and comes with two bathrooms (toilet, shower), and two outdoor terraces - unexpected bonuses! Great location, right on the edge of the medina and close to car parking (unusual for a medina stay!). Large bedrooms, with plenty of beds - you'll get a good, quiet night's sleep! Host is quick to respond for check-in, met us in the parking lot and kindly walked us to the apartment - not easy to find on your own the first time as it is tucked into a lovely, quiet corner in the medina.

The apartment was very clean and with beautiful and interesting moroccan interior. It felt like you are in Aladdin fairytale. Very hospitable host. Who was very responsive and kind. He was answering to all of the questions we had. We totally recommend this place.

Everything was good. The location is perfect, it's perfectly clean and comfortable. There is hot water, wifi a smart TV and a little kitchen which was very practical. The Host Mr Mohammed was also so kind and helpful. Definitely gonna book again once I travel to Tangier 🙌

Undoubtedly the best for the money room/apartment. Muhammad showed me all the aspects of the property. TV, washing machine, shower+ heater, cooker, WiFi. It's a really great place next to the harbour and a short distance from the Medina, restaurants and main old town of Tangier.
