Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Maria is an excellent host. She accommodated our late check in and facilitated the luggage transfer with her husband. The location of Riad is excellent with every tourist attraction at walking distance.

Great location in the heart of the medina and within easy walking distance of major attractions. Luxurious and very comfortable. The terrace gives splendid views of the Straits of Gibraltar and Spain, and is the perfect place for enjoying drinks and nibbles. Marie is very helpful with local information and keen to make one's stay memorable. A wonderful introduction to Morocco!

The towels were a little bit rough but other than that, everything was perfect!
The host, Marie, was incredibly helpful and communicative! There was plenty of space and the living area is beautiful. The breakfast was simple but delicious and such a great start to the day!

The riad is fantastic. Great decoration, very spacious and ideally placed to visit Tangier. Marie is a very welcoming and attentive host and provided us with help all along (driver, hammam recommendation and contact, breakfast served in the riad, home made food brought to us for several dinners, places to visit and restaurants/bars to go to...). The riad is so nice that it is difficult to leave it in the morning to go visit Tangier.

No AC could be a problem if it was hotter.
Spacious, many wonderful books and crannies. Very well equipped. Comfy beds and great showers with hot water and good pressure. Good location. Friendly host and staff. Wonderful breakfast.

Nothing. But it should be noted that there are lots of stairs that require a person to be able to walk upstairs and carry the suitcases. 
Fantastic location right in the middle of the casbah. One of the roomiest homes we have ever rented. Tons of space. Several bedrooms and bathrooms. Even several outdoor terraces

The Riad was incredible from the rooms to the beautiful rooftop terrace. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the host was very kind and responsive! We loved everything! I highly recommend staying here!! Additionally, the location was great as well it is located in the old Medina which is close to everything.

Hearing the call to prayer and singing from the mosque is wonderful for allowing you feel the spirit of the medina, but the 4am prayers are disruptive so expect to be awoken - though falling back to sleep was easy enough! Not really a dislike, just something to be aware of.
Breakfast was a lovely, simple affair of delicious, freshly cooked pancakes, home made jams, honey, tasty toasted bread, fresh orange juice, coffee and yoghurts. The house is a treasure trove of art, books, crafted items, the attention to detail is evident throughout and the toiletries and linens of really good quality. We had a late return flight and we were able to order a typical Moroccan feast, freshly cooked and left in the kitchen for us to serve at leisure on our beautifully set dining table and all for a super affordable price. The ladies who cooked and cleaned were friendly and unobtrusive. So many original and restored traditional style features in the house you are always finding something different. to admire or be amused by. Each tastefully decorated bedroom has a private bathroom and the terrace is a great place to chill with great views to the ocean and across the medina. We felt very comfortable in Tanger, so many smiles from people was heart-warming. Rashid is your man for taxi trips. We stayed 2 nights and should have stayed another 2, but we will be back and hopefully we will renew our acquaintance with the exceptional Riad dar Tus.

We felt the furniture was needing to be updated-chairs, couch, rugs. Didn't seem to be what the pictures showed. One bathroom has tub with hand held shower not a walk in. One bedroom, one side of bed not accessible unless you crawl over the other person.
Maria was very nice and friendly. Wash machine very handy. Breakfast homemade. Location not accessible from vehicle. Need transport but she'll arrange as long as it's not too early or late.
