We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SerbiaIt is difficult to locate riad like most of the things there, if you are coming for the first time, and you are not get used on Marrakesh streets. But if you just contact them, they will come out in front of you and then it is solved. Even people on the street will stop their business and will help you to find it. So this is not dislike - more tip how to overcome slight short term discomfort.
Hospitality of the stuff was great. At whatever time we were coming back from going out, there was always someone from stuff, available at our disposal. Terrace is amazing. Breakfast is very nice.

South AfricaThe owner (who speaks no english) had occupied most of the property with friends. The two rooms in the courtyard had no privacy, were the rooms rented out which was particularly difficult when she had dinners in the courtyard. The guest also were not given keys for the outside so they had to ring the bell which was often late in the evening and there was no wifi (or signal) in the rooms only in common areas. Overall, it didn’t feel like a welcoming and comfortable space as an English solo women traveller.
Location, good price. Muḥammad and Merean were very sweet and were as helpful as they could be

PolandRooms are small. I mean really small - I experienced this size of rooms only in budget hotels in Singapore and Hongkong. So be aware that two people who stay longer than one night or with two suitcases should book a bigger room. In our case, one person had to leave during packing and we had only one backpack. The staff was ok, however, it seems they pay more attention to people speaking French - our check in was quite chaotic, we had to ask about everything by ourselves. Wi-fi didn’t work inside our room and we had to go outside to use it. The shower made all the bathroom wet.
The place is clean and well decorated in traditional, Moroccan style. Location is very strategic - close to all attractions and bus station. AC works well as a heater in February.

RomaniaTo be honest, there wasn't much that I didn't like about Dar Zemrane. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the Wi-Fi in my room could have been faster. However, this was a minor issue that didn't detract from my overall experience.
One of the things I appreciated most about Dar Zemrane was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer suggestions on places to visit or things to see in the city. Additionally, the hotel's decor was beautiful, blending traditional Moroccan style with modern touches. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and clean, with all the necessary amenities provided.

AustraliaOur room (standard double) was tiny (max 8sqm not counting small bathroom). OK if you only want to sleep but would not work if you have a lot of luggage. I advise if you are 2 people, you book a superior or triple just to have enough space to move. Bed was a queen (OK but not the usual large Moroccan beds we had been enjoying!). The pillows were terrible! Breakfast was very meagre - worst we had in our 2 weeks in Morroco. First morning, we had fresh baguette, but for the following 2 mornings, baguette was old bread toasted (there was a bakery 5 minutes walk away). First morning, the tea was a lipton teabag (?). We got Moroccan tea after that. Juice was bought, not freshly squeezed. They allow smoking in the shared living area downstairs, and because the place is small and the roof is enclosed, the place totally fills with smoke. Really terrible if you're non-smokers like us. I would advise they limit smoking to the roof top.
The location was on the edge of the medina and very quiet. The guest house is small but nicely decorated. More modern than Moroccan. The bathrooms were lovely with good showers. The staff were very friendly.

SpainThe WiFi doesn't work in the room and was slow, the plugs where in bad condition (falling out) and one bed didn't have plugs near it, which makes it hard to charge the phone. Communication wasn't great, no one explained to us we could order eggs and pay for it, breakfast wasn't great compared to other Riads we stayed, simple, basic. The room was very small, which we knew but there wasn't space for us to store our bags or to put away our clothes.
Mohammed who has the evening shift was amazing, he makes the Riad a good stay. Location is great.

United KingdomOverall, my experience was half - half. The young man, night manager, and day manager, a lady were both very rude. The lady was very arrogant, unpleasant and unhelpful. It started because there was no taxi to pick us up from the airport. We found a very nice private taxi driver who called the hotel and spoke with her. He was informed by the lady there was no booking for my name regarding a taxi which I had received on the day I booked my room. And she hung up the phone. On the second time, she said that I never confirmed the taxi. She never offered her help to send the new taxi for us, just hung up the phone and didn't bother about us - four guests. When we arrived at the hotel, we found out she couldn't speak English. I used my phone to try to communicate, but she didn't bother to do the same. She continuously spoke with a raised voice, used French and only a few English words. In the end, she asked me in English "Do I have a problem?". I was very tired and fed up with her. I gave up. Because of her behavior, I will avoid the hotel in a future visit Marrakech due to that lady. The hotel itself was a very nice, traditional moroccan style with perfect localization. I love the room and the inside patio. Need a bit of fresh touch, they still have some local booklets from 2012. Breakfast is very small.

GermanyIt isn’t a Riad, it’s just a small and thin-walled Dar. The breakfast was one-sided without much choice. And they charged more than indicated in my reservation. The room price was indicated just in Euro, but they charged in Dirham with reference to a very unfavourable exchange rate, which definitely wasn’t the one of the Central Bank of Morocco. Bottom line I was charged 7,50 Euro more than indicated in my booking.com confirmation. The value for money and the breakfast were the worst I experienced on my trip in Morocco (Tangier, Asilah, Fès and Rabat).
The rooms were clean and nicely decorated but without any service. Even toilet paper wasn’t refilled within my stay of 3 nights. The staff was friendly.
