How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewI spent a week with my wife at a hotel beautifully located right by King’s Park, an area guarded by soldiers which made us feel exceptionally safe throughout our stay. One of the highlights was a large pool surrounded by plenty of sunbeds, offering relaxing moments without having to fight for a spot. The hotel’s grounds also had handy amenities—a cash machine and a mini market where you could buy almost anything you needed. Breakfasts were excellent, with a huge selection that catered to all tastes.
Unfortunately, not everything was perfect. The shower floor in our room was poorly leveled, causing water to collect in one corner. This meant we had to take very short showers to avoid flooding the bathroom. Despite the cleanliness elsewhere, we found ants in our room on several occasions. The ATM at the hotel charged a hefty €6.50 commission, which was much higher than machines in town. Similarly, prices in the hotel’s shop were noticeably higher than those outside. Some of the staff didn’t seem particularly motivated. We once waited 25 minutes just to get our drinks, and the lady preparing eggs at breakfast looked so unfriendly it made us hesitant to approach her. There were times when pool towels were either not properly washed (with stains) or had holes, which was disappointing for a hotel at this price range. We also requested a late check-out, but the only option was a paid service—5 hours for €80, which felt excessive compared to other hotels’ practices. On my birthday, there was no acknowledgment from the hotel, not even a simple greeting or a small gesture, something other hotels often do to make guests feel special. That lack of personal touch was perhaps the saddest part of our experience. Overall, I would rate this hotel 6 out of 10. While the location and breakfasts were fantastic, there are several areas that need improvement to truly offer a memorable guest experience.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Dominian Palace and I highly recommend it! Everything was excellent – the hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. A very special thank you to the staff – they are extremely helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel and all the services provided. We would definitely love to come back! A very big thank you to the gentleman who took care of our taxi.
We were bit surprised that nowhere was it mentioned that no alcohol is available at the hotel. Also, it was a big discomfort that there was a constant sewage smell in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was fine.

Verified reviewThe hotel is beautiful - the pool and lobby area are amazing. The beds in the room are really comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location - close to all major restaurants, beaches etc.
The room wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked. The breakfast also didn’t have many options. I don’t think it was worth the amount paid.

Verified reviewThe pool and gym facilities were really good. The room we stayed in was spacious. The staff were very friendly and professional.
The rainforest shower in our suite was not and did not work the whole trip. There were no instructions on how to connect the tv so my som could not watch his cartoons. We were not provided with slippers and so had to wear our outdoor footwear in our room which was not ideal. I ordered a fruit salad via room service and it never came. Only after multiple calls to the receptionist did it arrive 1 hour late. They switched off the air conditioning in our room 4 hours before check out and we were unable to enter our room with the key card also. We had to get one of the cleaners to let us into our own room. The view was bad. We were looking out onto a dusty almost building site.

Reception has a NO CARE ATTITUDE. Giving conflicting information to patrons about prices and when you complain they make any excuse and flick you off.You also need to repeat yourself over and over and over. I won't be coming back.

Room hasn't been cleaned a total of 3 times (2 consecutive days at the end of our stay); Sheets were changed only once in 10 days; My son's dialer had spilled a little, since they didn't clean our room we had to sleep on poop stained sheets (folded and turned over but still unacceptable); Trashcans were overflowing because no one came to clean. Towel system is horrible, 4 days with the same towels. And when housekeep does decide to come to our room they pick them up in the morning and brought them back in the evening. Therefore my wife was stuck in the shower and had to dry herself with a bedsheet; Reception is inexperienced and never do what you ask them, had to ask for toilet paper 4 times before I got some. I called at 6PM, my wife went there at 10:30PM, they lied to her saying that someone dropped it off in the bathroom, I called again and they claimed they never said that. I went over the next morning at 8:50AM and eventually they came by around 10AM. 16 hour wait for some toilet paper. They never sent someone to check the shower drain. Floors are poorly cleaned with plain water. So the floor had stains and it was disgusting underneath the bed. Reception thinks we're stupid they keep asking us if we hung the "please tidy our room" card everytime I complain about housekeeping. Gym floor is very dirty, no towels, water and no mats. Abnoxiously loud music blasting in the gym. People come in the gym with their swimming trunks, no shirt and slippers, kids come and play in the gym. There is no supervision. There is no lifeguard on duty and there aren't enough towels at the pool. Only 3-4 baby chairs in the entire restaurant whilst it has over 100 tables. They have a lot of wifi access points but the bandwidth is horrible you can barely watch a youtube video on 480p. The pool isn't cleaned throughout the day, there are bugs and hair floating around in the pool.

- waited 6 hours to get a room, there were no towels or shower products in there when i finally got the room - had to wait an extra hour to get towels and shower products - 1 elevator in the whole hotel?? A 5 star hotel??? That is also not working half of the time??? - had to park my car in the heat under 46 C degrees - we were denied access to an actual parking lot with a roof because we’re not VIPs - the whole hotel lost electricity once for a few minutes?? - i got locked in my room, called reception 20 times no one picked up the phone - had to scream out from the balcony to grab the attention of the kind security guard downstairs - i was let out only an hour after he called for assistance - my room was never cleaned - they did my bed once in 4 days - had to ask for towels everyday and had to wait 1h30 every time to get towels with black stains on them - extremely loud music in neighboring rooms at 3am - asked reception to speak with them which they did but it did not help - they asked for payment before we even got rooms and for the whole stay - staff is overall friendly but they just look overworked and TERRIFIED of their management team - not a pleasant sight - was charged 30 dhs for a water bottle that’s supposed to be 5 or 6 dhs???

Verified reviewBreakfast buffet 7am to 11am gives you plenty of time. Swimming pool. Pool table. Gym. Plenty of places to relax in within the hotel. The beds are super comfy. The cleaners are constantly cleaning and the hotel has a nice fragrance to it. Lovely staff always smiling. I would recommend this hotel and I'd stay again.
No microwave in the room. Room service is very expensive more than UK prices. The drainage system in the shower doesn't flow fast enough so the water goes all over the bathroom. Swimming pool closes too early 10pm would have been ideal.
