Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe location of the Riad Atlas Chateau is exceptional with great views to the Toubkal mountain and the valley with the small villages that belong to Imlil. The bedrooms are very nice, clean, furnished with traditional berebere decorations and a nice terrace with views to the mountains. Breakfast and dinner can be arranged in the hotel at a reasonable price. The personnel were super helpful in arranging hiking tours, transportation from and to Imlil. I did a very nice hiking tour with the hotel's owner who took me through the valley. It is a great opportunity to learn about local culture, lifestyle and traditions. I would highly recommend Riad Atlas Chateau to anyone that wants to discover the high Atlas in the Imlil area and wants to get a grasp of the local culture.

United Arab EmiratesI did not realize the rooms were not heated. This is probably my fault. It took me 2 days to get acclimated to the cold, but there were enough (7 or 8) blankets that helped me to not freeze :) Power and internet went out every night. This is not the hotel's fault. But it's worth being aware that there could be some time where you can't work at night (if you're a digital nomad). Just keep this in mind and you'll be fine. This is not a "riad" in the traditional courtyard sense. It's just a standard hotel. But this is being too nit-picky, and maybe everyone calls every hotel a "Riad".
THe location is excellent and it's a family hotel that really cares and is trying. The balconies have maybe the best view of the mountains that I can imagine (I checked other hotels in person in case I was missing out). The balcony has wonderful sunlight for much of the day. The staff were really helpful and provided lots of blankets and coverings to keep warm - I went in the height of winter. Also, somehow they had hot water in the shower. I did not expect this, given the location and the rustic nature of the place. This hotel is also away from the center, which I liked. You need to drive a few minutes into the village, or take a 40 minute or so walk.

Saudi ArabiaThe final 100 meters of the drive to the hotel were a bit challenging, but once we arrived, the warm hospitality and overall experience made it well worth the effort.
The staff went above and beyond with their friendliness and warm hospitality, making our stay truly memorable. The views from the balcony were breathtaking, offering stunning views of Atlas mountains. The food was consistently delicious, with traditional options that satisfied our taste buds. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for the price, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

United KingdomWiFi was a bit patchy and sometimes went off completely
Driss was a lovely host who was really helpful, I even got tea on the terrace when I arrived 😁. It has a lovely view of Imlil. They also organize walking tours for you to explore the mountains. After the earthquake they haven't had many visitors, but now everything is perfectly fine, and the hotel is open as normal. One thing to note, if you don't have a car, from the village Imlil it's a bit of a distance (40mins walk up hill) , and there aren't any supplies in the hotel, so if you like to spend time chilling there you need you own snacks for lunch during the day. Lovely breakfast was provided though, and they can do Tagine dinner for Dh100. Totally recommend and I hope to go back there

GermanyIt's a great place to stay in Imlil. The house is located a few hundred meters away and sits about 50-100 meters above the actual village. The result is a fantastic view over Imlil straight towards Mt. Toubkal (from both the rooftop terrace and the balcony of the rooms). The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They will gladly organize a trekking tour to Toubkal for you. Dinner was delicious (best cous-cous I had in Marocco within my 10 days trip) and just enormous (we were three people and even couldn't finish half of it). Overall, I can absolutely recommend the place. Would love to come back and will definitely recommend it to others who are interested in exploring Morocco!

United StatesThe bed was way too hard for me, but that's the preference. I'd also recommend bringing your bedding if you are picky. This is a no frills, backpacker type of place.
Beautiful view from the terrace, caring friendly mountain guides hosts, authentic Berber village experience away from the touristy Imlil, generous homemade dinners you can order, a lot of trails, little balcony with view, the cute little lambs. Happy we chose to stay here

Czech RepublicThe driveway is a little bit adventurous (only the last few hundred meters, you can park further away). It is an unpaved road on a slope with no guardrails and can get slippery when wet. But we managed with a small Fiat 500.
Very genuine, family-run business. Driss is an exceptionally attentive host. There is no menu because you ask for the options in the morning and you get a superb home-cooked meal in the evening.
