How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewMohammed and Fatima are the most wonderful hosts. The place is basic, yet very beautiful, comfortable and authentic and has everything you need. We liked it better than many of the other places. The dinner was the best tajine we had and the breakfast at the lovely roof terrace was also delicious.

Verified reviewThis place is simply amazing! Very very very clean, beautiful design - the best place in which we stayed during 10 days in Morocco. Fatima and Ahmed are lovely and tagine that Fatima cooked for us was also the best meal we’ve had during our trip. And we could eat it by the fireplace. Photos do not capture the beauty of this place - it is waaay better. Breakfast was expectional. If we ever come back to Morocco we would come again to Ahmed and Fatima with no doubt.

Verified reviewVery beautiful house. Ahmed has a very good interior design taste and we felt treated very good both at dinner and at breakfast. There was heating in the room and hot water. The surroundings are very interesting and unique, being placed in a non-touristic area of the skoura Oasis.

Verified reviewThank you to the Ahmed family, they were very kind, when I arrived I was sick to my stomach and Fátima took care to make lunch and dinner especially for me, very tasty food. Very grateful for that. The room has everything you needed, very clean, Internet works very well. 5 stars. Thanks.
Bed very hard, could be more comfortable.

Verified reviewAn oasis of calm, tranquility and exceptionally kind and friendly hospitality. Fatima, Ahmed and their two children welcomed us with kindness and warmth, making us feel right at home from the start in this beautifully restored kasbah. The place is small and feels very exclusive. We were able to enjoy the whole place to ourselves when we arrived. Our bedroom joined on to a lovely little terrace where we drank our welcome tea and could star gaze and watch the sun rise in the morning in the palmery. The area around is truly special. Although it may take a little more effort to get here and it feels a little off the beaten track, it’s truly worth it. Think of an oasis of palm trees, crumbling Kasbahs all around and a beautiful pink mosque illuminated by the rising sun. The inn is situated in the heart of the palmery in a friendly, quiet little village just next to Skoura. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with local goats cheese and a tasty omelette along with the usual Moroccan breakfast spread. Make sure to book dinner too as Fatima’s cooking is exceptional. At very short notice, Fatima was able to make a delightful pumpkin soup and the best vegetarian tagine of the trip along with some delicious beef for my meat-eating partner- all served beside a cosy, wood-burning fire. I had one of the best sleeps of the trip. The sheets and bed were lovely and comfortable and of an equal syandard to some luxury hotels I’ve stayed in. Definitely make the journey here to experience a tranquil stay in a little Moroccan village in the palmery. The quality of the service you receive is exceptional for the price paid.
We loved everything. Next time we would stay for longer and rent bikes to explore the palmery and all of the Kasbahs in the area.

Verified reviewWe loved this little hotel. Basically two rooms that lead out onto a shared terrace. The owner Ahmed, trained in high end hospitality, is a delight and nothing is too much trouble. He is in no way intrusive but is always very anxious to give you a good stay. The breakfast was great and difficult to finish it was so big. We ate both evening meals there and they were excellent, cooked by his wife Fatima. We loved the location in the Palmeraie and the little hotel is surrounded by crumbling Kasbahs, dirt tracks and wonderfully friendly people going about their lives in this living Oasis. We were sorry to leave.
We really loved everything. There was tons of hot water at night from the wood fired tank but less so in the mornings when the shower was a bit more bracing. Ahmed has plans for solar heating in time and anyway it’s a small downside only to a fantastic place.

Verified reviewWith 20 years in the tourism industry, Ahmed's first hotel of his own reflects his years of experience. No detail is overlooked starting with Ahmed himself, who is a naturally warm, open, and friendly host, his well appointed and tastefully decorated rooms, his Instagram ready terrace, beautiful place settings, and delicious menu offerings. After many nights of tanjines, brochettes, and cous cous, his wife Fatima's special beef dish was a delicious and welcome alternative. Breakfast was very generous and delicious as well. Although an affordably priced guesthouse, it provides its guests with first class treatment with thoughtful details.

Verified reviewThis was the best place we stayed in Morocco! Ahmed and Fatima are fantastic, it was so interesting to chat to Ahmed, he is so relaxed and highly professional at the same time. Fatima cooked the best tajine we had in Morocco. The house is beautiful, the posh dining room.. then the very well decorated cozy room we stayed in had really good heating A/C, a comfortable bed with a cozy duvet, a well designed bathroom with hot water. Best WiFi we had in Morocco. The house is in a very quiet rural area which we loved. Beautiful view from the balcony. We put the GPS coordinates in and found it easily. Ahmed was outside the door to welcome us. We had tea in their beautiful garden. The breakfast was also amazing. There was free parking outside the door.

The location is challenging to find but totally worth it. Better arrive in daylight to find the place.

Verified reviewAhmed, wife Fatima, children Younessef and Sara and his mother were so welcoming. Ahmed met as in town and led us to his historic home in the middle of the oasis. Fatima cooked a great supper for us with less than one hour's notice and also provided a big breakfast with home made crepe and bread. The guest house was huge, the bedroom warm with lots of hot water and the bed linen was very comfortable. This is a VERY special place that Ahmed has opened close to the Dar Ahlam hotel.

Verified reviewThe accommodation was in a small village in a typical house near Skoura. Picturesque location. The food and stuff was excellent. The room has heating/AC. We met with the owner in downtown Skoura and followed him to the house. I recommend doing the same.
