Reviews of Gite Ifoulou Tassaout

Very lovely local stay, basic and beautiful. The view on the rock walls and sound of the river below makes it a peaceful place. The 2p room with own bathroom was clean and had a splendid view. The host family is very welcoming and gave us tips for hiking in the valley. We had a very good local dinner and breakfast.

Due to rural location and warm weather there were quite some flies in the main living room. Maybe use some natural deterrent like mint, fruittrap or transparant bag with water and coins

Great location, authentic Moroccan style, very hostile owner, low price

The staff were friendly, helpful and eager to please. Taking into account the the area and the type of accommodation this is good place to base yourself to explore a beautiful valley. The food was excellent. Beautiful location. Rooms were clean, and the one we selected had attached bathroom (with hot water).

Maybe some advance preparation of rooms when guests expected. Also the signage on the guesthouse could be improved. The sign is good on the turn from the road, but needs to be clearer on the property.

The location of the house was very handy, just a couple of miles from the main road. The host was welcoming and friendly.

I liked the atmosphere and people around. The property is operated by the family that lives in there. The owner is a very nice person. I have been there already twice and I hope I will have an opportunity to return there again.

Great food - including fruit with each meal. Amazing location in a really quiet valley. More of a gite than a classic bnb, but that's reflected in the price & the name of the place. The kids loved the villages in the valley

Some Bed linen & towels missing

This was a small, rather spartan hotel in a small village up on the Atlas Mountains, overlooking a small stream. I actually had a hard time finding the place at all, but I friendly young man directed me there after about half an hour of looking around. The scenery was beautiful, but I was tired from all the mountain roads. It turned out I was the only guest at the hotel for about a month, and the place was in the middle of a renovation. I was still taken good care of, and received a hearty dinner (breakfast was OK too). In the shower, I could enjoy plenty of hot water. Despite the cold (or exactly because of it), I slept good under the heavy blankets. I had declined the gas heater.

The room was very small, with barely enough room to get around the double bed. The sheets were paper-thin. Because of the renovation (a temporary thing, of course), there were no working wash basins, and I had to wash my hands in the shower. The host was friendly, but acted a little too much like I was a guest in his own home. I would have preferred a more impersonal approach. (Perhaps he was overcompensating for the renovation; but he could have taken the place off booking.com, or cancelled my booking.) So even though I was relieved to find the place and get a good, hot meal and a good night’s sleep, I probably would not stay here again.
