How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I don’t normally write reviews but this time I had to.First night we got to the hotel and they said cause we did not pay for the hotel in advance they could not guarantee the room. But booking.com shows u the option of reserving the hotel room. Any how so we paid online when we got there or u have to pay cash no cards accepted. Then they gave us a temporary room for one night. This room where shall I start first the barthroom the light was flicker non stop, the barthtub looked like it has not been cleaned for ages stains and dirt built up. The handwash that was provided under a lock was so dry and murky that it was not even coming out. The bedroom the pillows were smelly and dirty with marks on them. Had to order more pillows to replace the dirty ones during the call to room service about this matter he cut the phone off midway. We had to go to reception and ask him why he cut the phone, he apologized and got us pillows. The room also had cigarette buts and roll ups left on the balcony. I did ask for a family non smoking room, anyhow let me continue they bought a kids mattress in for the fourth bed. The guy who bought it in dragged it across the dirty hall way and all over the floor and bought into our room. The mattress was very dirty in the in did not use this. We went to get some dinner the buffet looked like it had been there for some time and food looked non appetizing even though we were hungry, we decide to go out into the pool area and order some food alacart menu after sitting for few minutes no one came to serve us we had to go to the waiter who was more concerned about the clients who were drinking alcohol, we ordered and after 45mins the food came we had to ask when was the pasta, pizza and burger was coming. The waiter told us he did not know and he was busy, he did apologize after midway through our dinner, the food was ok. We went back to our room, joined the three single beds together and fell asleep as we was extremely exhausted.

The hallway to the rooms too dark, not enough lighting. The furniture in the room is definitely due for a change and overall makeover.

Verified reviewRoom was decent size & Shower was nice and big but dated, the cleaning & breakfast staff were excellent & very polite along with night shift security.
Day shift front desk staff was extremely rude and disrespectful from moment me and family arrived & made us feel very uncomfortable. We checked in at 2pm and was only given 1 room from the 3 we had booked & after taking payment for there city tax we was told that we had to wait for the other 2x room we had booked as they are not ready, we got these 2room just after 6pm which is unacceptable and will be complaining to booking.com as we had young children’s who where unsettled and exhausted without a place to rest. Also rules of hotel not allowing food & drinks from outside is very unacceptable as the food they served wasn’t good at all and expensive for what it is & we had young kids who won’t eat what they serve, also we wasn’t even allowed bottle of water from outside & at numerous times the day shift security approach us & stop us very rudely & tried to intimidate us but we didn’t let them stop us from bringing at least water as we won’t let our kids dehydrate in the hot weather. Would never go back or recommend this hotel at all to anyone. Also did find cockroaches in rooms but rooms were kept nice & clean.

Verified reviewThe only truly excellent experience during my stay was at the restaurant, led by Mr. Mohamed and his outstanding team, including Amine. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us warmly with genuine smiles, attentive service, and great professionalism. They made sure every meal was well-presented, served promptly, and adapted to our preferences. They anticipated our needs without us having to ask, regularly checked if we were satisfied, and created a friendly and pleasant atmosphere that made us feel valued as guests. Their positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile stood out and made our dining experiences the highlight of our stay. This is exactly the kind of service that reflects the quality and reputation Hamilton Hotel should aim to deliver in all departments. This overall experience, aside from the restaurant service, was far below the standard I expected and certainly does not reflect the image that Hamilton Hotel should be presenting to its guests. I request that management review these issues seriously, take corrective action, and provide an appropriate response to address the inconvenience, poor service, and health concerns I experienced.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service and conditions during my recent stay at Hamilton Hotel Agadir. From the moment of check-in, the experience was unacceptable. We were left waiting for two hours before receiving our room. I also witnessed the staff member in charge of check-in accepting money from other guests in exchange for faster service and better rooms, which is both unprofessional and unethical. When we finally checked in, the room was in a poor state: • The room was dirty, especially under the bed. • The fridge had yellow stains and was very dirty inside. • The shower had visible mold, and the shower plug and water leakage were damaging the wooden area. I reported this and requested the drain to be fixed to prevent further damage, but despite assurances, nothing was done. • The towels in the room were very old and worn out. The pool and surrounding area were also dirty, with visible dirt and lack of proper maintenance since our arrival. This not only affects the overall guest experience but also raises health and hygiene concerns, which is unacceptable for a hotel of your category. Regarding the pool towels, when I inquired, a Tunisian staff member (who seemed unclear about his role) told me I needed to buy a towel for 100 MAD, as the hotel does not provide them. This is highly unusual for a hotel of your category. I also personally witnessed this same Tunisian staff member yelling at a guest from Pakistan because the towel the guest returned had a mark on it. Such behavior is completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and not acceptable in a hospitality environment. Furthermore, despite requesting at 9:00 AM for the room to be cleaned, no one attended to it until 5:00 PM, and only after I followed up again. The cleaning service also insisted on collecting the dirty towels before providing fresh ones, which was embarrassing and unnecessary for guests.

We had already paid to stay at the Al Moggar Hotel booked through booking.com however somehow I ended up booking a room at the Al Moggar in September when I actually needed somewhere to stay over the last weekend just gone. The Al Moggar will not give me a refund or change the dates so I ended up paying twice to have somewhere to stay. The Hamilton was more out of desperation than choice. We booked a double room with a balcony or terrace, we were given a room without either. We went back to reception and asked for a room with a balcony or terrace as advertised and what we had paid for. We were told that they were fully booked and that it was the only room available. In fairness to the guy on reception he found us a room with a balcony. The room was very basic but at least it had a tiny balcony overlooking the pool not that we wanted to be overlooking the pool and listening to the continuous bass beat of loud music. The glass in the door to the balcony looked like it could fall out at any minute with the glass coming away from the frame. The shower floods when you have a shower. The hairdryer didn't work. There aren't any drink making facilities in the room and you are not allowed to bring in your own food or drink. I asked for a cup of English tea only to be told they didn't have any! If I come back to Agadir then I will certainly choose somewhere else.
