How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe Riad is beautiful and well located. The staff is amazing and despite a few mishaps with the airport transfer on arrival everything turned out ok. The breakfast is great, the spa as well, and overall this is a great place to stay if you know what to expect with staying inside the Medina. I would stay again. The rooftop is beautiful and a great place to have a tea and hangout.
The only issue were minor cleanliness issues and small improvements that can be made in the maintenance. We found more than one cockroach in the riad, but this is common inside the old town so not exactly the riads fault. If this is a major problem for you ask for a room on the upper floors where there’s less chance of encountering these bugs. Other than that the place is clean, and most importantly the kitchen area is meticulously clean.

Verified reviewThe Riad was so comfortable and traditionally charming. The room was room itself was decorated beautifully and was spacious for us and our luggage. We were traveling with another couple and enjoyed the common area on the mainfloor as well as the sunny roof terrace where we were served a scrumptious traditional breakfast every morning. The location was perfect for our daily fun in the chaos of the Medina. Yet when inside the Riad it was like another world of serenity and peace. I requested a massage and they had someone attend to me within the hour. Every staff person was so helpful and friendly that it made our visit so much easier. I would especially like to thank Omar and Laila for their patience and care during our stay.

Verified reviewMy experience at this place was great, but I do want to mention that Omar is one of the greatest worker we ever met. From the moment he received us at the airport drop off location to the last day where he also walked with us to the airport pick up location. He was super kind even though we arrived so late at night, he had the energies to talk to us about Marrakech and gave us tips and places to visit. The next day we had to leave early for our excursion and he prepared a quick breakfast for us. Every day he was attentive with all guests and asking if we needed anything. Hopefully when you stay at this Riad Omar is still there to assist you. About the hotel, it was very cozy really nice inside. We wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for Omar that met us at the drop off location, but then it is super easy to get there, just need to memorize the way there. Super close to the Jemaa el-Fnaa, it is also close to a bar which is hard to find around that area, its rare that a restaurant serves alcohol, so every night my husband and I would walk to the bar (5 min walk) its called Mabrouka rooftop. Everything around was super safe, and all excursions picked us up at the Medina which was very convenient and close. I do recommend this riad, we had no issues with our room or bathroom, everything was perfect.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at this Riad in Marrakech. The location couldn’t be better—just a stone’s throw away from all the main spots in the Medina, yet tucked away enough to be peaceful and quiet. What really made the experience special was the staff, especially Omar, who was always there to greet you with a warm smile and made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend!

Verified reviewGreat location, with friendly staff, just far enough off the main drag to be quiet but 5-15min walk from everything.
Room was a bit tired and the authentic Riad feel means you can also hear the other guests.

Verified reviewThe staff at l'Heure d'Été are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them and everything ran extremely smoothly – transfers, meals, etc. Definitely take the riad up on the offer of a meal. You might pay a little more than you would at a restaurant (€22pp = roughly 220MAD), but we had a totally private three-course dinner on the rooftop – just us, the chef, and a server – and the food was exceptional. Very definitely worth the experience. When we had the shutters closed, our room was pitch black. Made for a fantastic night's sleep. Location is perfect, very central, close to everything you could want as a tourist. Very easy to find too – it's only just off a couple of main streets through the medina and Google Maps had no issue with routefinding. You might want a hotel transfer on the way in though. €20 from RAK airport.
No complaints at all. There's often a bit of noise in the room – a little from outside, plus from other guests moving about in the central courtyard. It's just a feature of staying in a riad in the medina. We like an earlier night than most and it didn't stop us sleeping, but just beware if you're a very light sleeper!

Verified reviewGreat location, nice staff, excellent breakfast, nice room which was cleaned daily.
Suite showed dropped canopy over bed on photo, was not in room. Breakfast to start at 8.30, but cook arrives at 8.30. Not an issue unless you need to be out by 9am which we did twice. He did rush to accommodate. Water on arrival, but no top ups on other days. Would have been a nice touch.

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed our stay! Our host Omar was great, so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, we even had an early tour one morning and Omar made sure to prepare us breakfast before we left. It is also a very short walk to the Main Street and square in Marrakech. We would highly recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Marrakech.
Nothing.
