How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWhat an experience! Loved staying in the mountains further from mainstream Imlil. So peaceful with a view of the milky-way at night from the roof with lights turned off. Warm hospitality and amazing home cooked moroccan food too.

Verified reviewGreat location for trekking and hiking. Brilliant terrace for afternoon tea and popcorn, and to watch the sunset. Good hot water for showers. Meals were good. Friendly, helpful staff.
If you’re driving, get instructions from the owner. The road from Imlil was scary, very steep and a lot of it washed out due to recent rain. The drive out to Asni was on a better road. Bring a sleeping bag liner as there are no top sheets on the beds. Internet was spotty at best.

Verified reviewhad a wonderful experience at Riad Imnane Lodge. The hospitality was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The ambiance of the riad is charming, with beautifully designed interiors and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The view from the rooftop was absolutely amazing, offering a perfect spot to unwind. We also had a Berberine tagine, which was really amazing and full of authentic flavors. A special mention to Mohamed, whose kindness and attentiveness truly made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay!

Verified reviewWhat a gem! We've booked because of the area and the reviews and so glad we did. The place itself is very charming, the views as from our room so the two rooftops are spectacular. But the part which surprised us the most are the people. Such a tranquil place and they genuinely care. By that we don't mean just the owners or their family, but also the unrelated hiking tour guides who did not care about us not being part of their teams and were extremely friendly and apprehensive. We met there 3 and all of them offered us to join the delicious food they prepared for their clients, helped translating when communicating with the owners etc. The owners are also second to none, always there to help, incredibly friendly and attentive and they do care beyond as the last night we had to leave at 6am so they prepared for us sandwiches as free breakfast with ingredients which they could see that we were eating on each of the previous breakfasts. Btw, the normal breakfast is also amazing, plenty filling for all day of hiking. Moreover, they offer lunches and dinners, freshly cooked at 60 DIR each. Serious retreat, thank you! If we ever manage to come back to Morocco, we'll make sure to come and stay again!
thank you very very much for this best review

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay in a nice room with a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly helpful; when we were cold in the evening, they kindly lit up the fireplace for us. The terrace offered an amazing view, making it a perfect spot to relax. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, adding to the overall great experience.
We struggled getting hot water in the morning but it was not big deal.

Verified reviewRiad Imnane Lodge is a great stay for both hikers and other tourists. We booked 2 days from Marrakech. It eventually became three nights because we had such a good time there. The owner and his family are very helpful. Even if the owner is not there, he remains in touch via Whatsapp. Never intrusive but always friendly and helpful. The location is great with phenomenal views of the mountains. There are several walks nearby (1.2 or 4 hours). By taking time we also had very nice contacts with the inhabitants of the village. We had the honor of participating in Eid al-Fitr and were invited by the owner for breakfast with the family. Rooms are well equipped and have private bathroom/toilet and hot water. The breakfast and supper were tasty and more than sufficient. Tip: a driver who knows the mountains is a must. Ask the owner for instructions to drive to the lodge. Our driver was escorted by owner by telephone.

Verified reviewThe Riad was perfect. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. It has been the best shower I have had in all of Morocco and lots of hot water! The view from the roof terrace is breath taking and perfect for relaxing with a book and a cup of tea. Hassan and Muhammad couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, they were wonderful hosts and we felt very well cared for. The food was delicious, Sadie is a wonderful cook. Perfect place to relax and go for walks for a few days 😊

The bathroom window didn't have smoked glass so limited privacy... I'd suggest fixing this

Verified reviewI recently had the pleasure of staying at a riad in the highest village in the Atlas Mountains, located approximately 2,400 meters above sea level. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience and provide a brief review. Firstly, I must commend our host Hassan for his incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel extremely welcome and ensured that our stay was as comfortable as possible. His warm and friendly nature added an extra layer of charm to our time in the mountains. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to explore the traditional Berber villages nearby. These picturesque villages offered a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region. We were able to witness the daily lives of the Berber people and truly immerse ourselves in their way of life. It was a fascinating and eye-opening experience. Furthermore, I cannot praise enough the delicious food prepared by Hassan's family. The traditional Berber cuisine served at the riad was a true delight for the taste buds. Every meal was prepared with love and care, and each bite was bursting with authentic flavors. It was a true culinary journey that left us craving for more. Overall, my stay at the riad in the highest village in the Atlas Mountains was an unforgettable experience. Hassan's hospitality, the exploration of traditional Berber villages, and the mouthwatering food made it a truly remarkable getaway. I highly recommend this destination to anyone seeking a unique and enriching travel experience.
