Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing! Everything over exceeded expectation.
Where do I even begin? Kasbah Agafay is an absolute must-stay oasis on any journey through Morocco. Set in a peaceful location, it's perfectly positioned for easy access to both the Agafay Desert and the vibrant city of Marrakesh. The architecture is breathtaking, the gardens are immaculately maintained, and the sunsets are nothing short of magical. The rooms are equally stunning—beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable. But what truly sets this place apart is the people. Fouzia and her team were unbelievably kind and attentive. Their warmth and hospitality are what make Kasbah Agafay so special. We can’t wait to return next year.

The Kasbah is beautifully restored, and it’s nice to feel like you’re staying in a part of authentic history. Faouzia and her team are so wonderful and welcoming, they taught us a lot about the local area and the history, and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed, and the food was amazing as well. It’s a very peaceful and convenient location at the gateway to the desert but still only a 25min taxi from Marrakech Medina, and all the activities of the desert are easy to get to.

IrelandWe liked everything. There are a lot of steps which may not suit all guests and it would be good to know that.
We had a very warm welcome and were well looked after pre visit and during our stay. Faouzia and her staff treated us like friends coming to stay in their home.

We stay only one night in this delightful hotel close to the Agafay desert. We take a relaxing break from the caotic Marrakesh enjoying the pool, the marvellous presidential suite and the delicious breakfast. The staff of the hotel was very nice and help us to organise a camel ride in the desert and a beautiful dinner with show.

United StatesOur family of four stayed in two tents and we all loved it. The tents were great, spacious and very comfortable. The staff was wonderfully friendly and accommodating. We ate all of our meals at their restaurant and found the food fantastic. The seasonal salad was a great break from the very meat-heavy diet of the previous few days. And it was peaceful to eat lunch in the shade near the pool. The pool was big, refreshing, and wonderful. The whole space was an intimate oasis in the agafay desert. We had a car and enjoyed the flexibility of driving into the agafay desert. I think without a car, we could also have arranged a trip to one of the resorts in the desert. (But reservations are helpful to have before picking a resort in agafay.) We drove in to Le boudouin to ride camels. If we stayed longer, we probably would've spent a half day and had a meal at Le Boudouin or Inara. But we would still stay at Kasbah Agafay. Lovely, intimate place.

United KingdomNothing really. It was quiet when we were there, which of course is part of the appeal, but I can imagine it might feel a little awkward in the dining room in the evening if you were the only guests eating. The food wasn’t cheap but was delicious so I’d certainly eat there if you stay.
Wonderful staff - attentive and helpful. Really chilled and relaxing vibe. We especially enjoyed the sundowner drinks on the roof terrace.

SpainEverything was wonderful.
I’m a discerning traveler who is a little tricky to please. Everything about the Kasbah Agafay was phenomenal. Our stay began with a warm welcome from Laurent the manager and his assistant, Omar. My husband and I relaxed right away in the authentically sumptuous surroundings, the spacious bedroom and a bathroom you could easily park 2 cars in! From the monogrammed linen to the delicious food (plates especially prepared for my vegan husband), from the jaw-dropping rooftop views of the Atlas Mountains to the bountiful breakfast served overlooking the immense swimming pool, we loved our stay and will certainly return! Staff went out of their way before and during our stay to accommodate our every request. Our favourite of the 3 hotels we stayed at in the Marrakech area. Thank you!

United KingdomOver priced food and drink. No other option around so had no choice but to eat and drink there. The hotel was on the adage of the main road so a bit noisy for the location.
The pool wasn’t heated but very refreshing in the desert heat. Loved the rooms and decor. Friendly staff. Well located, not too far from Marrakesh on edge of desert.

FranceWe liked everything about this amazing property, it is a « must go » The great hospitality, the beautiful and spacious rooms, the gardens, the food. We happened to sleep there while they were celebrating the 24th year of the kasbah and we were kindly invited by Laurent to join the celebrations. We highly recommend this beautiful and calm property and will come back again. We were traveling as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 boys 14 and 9). We all loved it.

Loved our stay here. The hotel was traditional and had fabulous views. Our room was lovely and traditional style, and the staff were wonderful, attentive, and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and a lot of food! We loved not having a menu in the evening and the surprise of dinner! The hotel was quiet which was just what we needed to relax, and before our next stop in the city. There is a yoga area and lovely lounge area where you can sit and read a book. Or sit by the pool and relax with towels provided.
