Slimane was a great host - kind, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and very professional. He'd get out of his way just to make sure i have everything I needed. As a solo travel girl who spent a week there, I felt cosy and comfortable. The double bed room has AC, it's clean and comfy. Had the bestest sleep and recharge time. I loooove the rooftop terrace!!! It's definitely became my Moroccan home and I look forward to going back. Thank you!!

Before we arrived in Marrakech, Slimane, the owner of the hostel, contacted us to let us know that if we needed anything, we could rely on him. When we arrived (after midnight), we asked if we could drink tap water, and he said it was better not to. He gave us a bottle for the night so we didn’t have to go outside and look for an open shop, and said we could pay for it the next morning along with the tax. He kindly answered every question we had about the town and also offered to keep our belongings during our desert trip (we left our stuff there for 3 days without paying anything — we hadn’t even reserved the room for those nights). When we came back, we spent 3 more days there, which we had already booked on Booking. On the last day, he told us we could chill on the upstairs couches for as long as we wanted. On our last night in the desert, our friend arrived in Marrakech, also after midnight. After asking him when she could check in for the next day (she didn’t want to pay for the first night because she had planned to stay one night at the airport and go into town in the morning), Slimane offered her the upstairs room or the couches for free so she would have a safe place to stay. He even offered to pick her up from the airport — which he did — and he didn’t accept any money for it. 100% awesome and chillest dude ever. If I come back to Marrakech, I will definitely book his place!! Hostel is very clean and comfortable, in a good neighborhood.

Sliman was the best! He was so nice, helpful, and a great communicator. He got in touch before our travels and made sure we were getting to the hostel safely, and helping us with whatever he needed. The hostel itself was so homey, and absolutely beautiful. The location was perfect as well. Would definitely stay her again!

Bathroom could have an update

Sliman was very accomdation of us. Helped us find the place when we arrived and was always avalible to help with any questions. Accomdation was simple but had all what was needed and that was advetised.

Slimane, the owner, is incredibly nice and was really helpful with every question we had. The decoration was lovely and tastful. The hostel is in a calm street, but within a few meters you'll find yourself right in the life of the Kasbah.

Slimane was a very kind and open host for our fist time in Marrakech and was always there to give recommendations or chat about local culture. Beds were comfy and warm (December) and the area around the hostel had plenty of good local places to get food and necessities.

The only issue with the accommodation option that we choose is that because the private room faces the common terrace and bathroom area both via the door and window, if there are people hanging out in there the sense of privacy is significantly reduced.

Easily the best thing about this accommodation is its owner, a very friendly and attentive guy who is always trying to make sure that your every need is met. In terms of comfort of the private room I would have rated Kech hostel with around a 6.5, considering that it is a budget option, but the guy and his hospitality and willingness to help raise the rating a couple of points. Also, the price is quite reasonable, the terrace is nice, and the location is quite ok, inside of the 'fun' area but conveniently removed from the crowds of tourists in Jemaa el-Fnaa.

The Host Slimane extremely welcoming and helpful in spite of our late check in and very early checkout. The location is excellent, walking distance from everything. The place is simple but had everything we needed and it was clean.

Sliman was one of the best hosts I have ever had. We were in a tough situation and ended up staying in Morocco for 3 days more than we had intended, we booked Kech Hostel the day of at the last minute and he was so kind always checking up on us and seeing if there was anything he could do to help. It was the perfect space for our group of four, very clean and in a quieter but still very safe area.

Location was excellent but difficult to find as no sign on the door or property. I got lost and some young boys tried to help me but took me to the wrong place. Slimane the owner came to fetch me to see I got there safely.

No bathroom at the floor, so if you have kids like me it may be difficult for the kids during the night to go up or down the stairs. a part from that, all was as in the pictures. on top all my requests were always answered within few minutes by the owner (have a cattle for tea, book a taxi, organize my laundry, etc.). thank you for a great stay!

this hotel is great value for money, managed by a fantastic owner. I stayed there with my 3 kids for 4 nights and we had the 6 persons room for us only. the room was comfortable and clean, common area on the terrace great too. location is perfect to do everything by foot in Marrakesh, foods and shops available close by too. I can only recommend staying here if you are on a budget trip.

Nothing that I didn't like really. I'd recommend this hostel for anyone with a smaller wallet, I'll most likely book this hostel again when back in Marrakesh.

If you just need a bed and a shower for the night this hostel is top value. The same if you don't want to spend 80+ EUR per night on Riads but rather invest in food experiences and such. The host Slimane was very friendly, very available and present when I arrived at midnight and when I left at 05:30 AM. A great host. The location - in the old medina that is - is great to wander around. The hostel is not the most up to date building but that was to be expected at this price point. From the hostel it's a less than 15 minutes drive to the airport.
