Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandIn bathrooms there could be more clothes hangers, the water pressure is low but even though the shower drain was at max capacity, so when you use it, you need to pay attention not to flood the whole room.
Staff was very friendly, there was a lot of space to sit with your laptop and watch the ocean. The wifi was good, good enough to have multiple friends works at the same time. Routers are on every other floor.

United KingdomNowhere to hang your clothes, but we managed.
The terrace was great. If they are available, get a balcony suite - although bring your earplugs as the road can be a little loud at night. Clean bathroom with good shower and such friendly staff! Great location - close to town, beach and anchor point. Would recommend!

ItalyThe location is perfect really in the centre of taghazout, all the restaurants, surf shops, panorama beach are at walking distance. In the basement there is a nice restaurant offering food and drinks all day long at convenient prices. The staff is really friendly, special mention to Tarik and his great energy giving us the best suggestions for surfing spots around the area. It's really convenient, especially considering the quality vs price ratio.

Location - Main road and close to everything. Was not actually loud, which was a surprise. Nice balcony. Super friendly staff with a restaurant right down below. WiFi worked well.

IrelandAlthough having been told we can keep our boards on the first floor, one of the days bringing them up we were given a dirty look by a staff member (maybe because they were a bit sandy) and we got given out to and told to wash our wetsuits on the roof terrace and not the room. Just was a bit odd since they were so happy to let us come through with the surf boards the two days before!
We’ll located in the centre of Taghazout. The staff was nice they let us keep our surfboards on the first floor to store them which was very convenient. Was really nice to have a balcony overlooking the beach

United KingdomRoom was never cleaned for entire stay (7 nights). - The room overlooked the road which naturally was noisy. - For what was a basic double room (and did not include breakfast), it seemed overpriced.
Friendly staff and good location in heart of Taghazout.

IrelandNoise, its a hostel not a hotel, so our first night there was lots of young ones coming in at 4am and 5am and you can hear everything, not the fault of the owner but it is a hostel and its called a hotel.... great for younger ones i think.... no hot water every morning, it was hot in the afternoon or evening, we did tell them the first morning and the guy was apologetic, he said he fixed it but the same happened the second and third morning so it must be on a timer or something, so wasn't really helpful when we had to leave early and have a cold shower. this was the most expensive place we stayed in in Morocco over the two weeks and it wasn't our favourite, for the price breakfast should be included. not nit picking but.... the one chair on our balcony was laughable it was just a few threads hanging on a wicker frame, the tap in the bathroom was just cold water and swinging off the sink so my partner actually got down and tightened it, the shower was cold and just hand held no where to hang it up...
location was good apart form the constant noise all night but we ended up sleeping through as we were so tired. food downstairs was very good we ate the day we arrived but it took an hour to get anything so we didn't go back for food. terraces upstairs were lovely to chill.

NetherlandsIt smelled funny inside. Like cats came in from the rooftop and peed there. They didn’t clean the rooms or changed the bins during your stay. For us it was hard as we had a miscarriage during the time we were there and lost a lot of blood. So it didn’t feel hygienic to us.
Good location, but too busy for my taste, but for the surf it was ok! The people working there are super friendly. Book the hostel instead of the double rooms.

SwitzerlandThe door to the balcony, facing the main street, did not close. The whole bathroom gets flooded when you shower. The key to the room (room 10) did not work properly, it was a fight to open and close the room. There was no remote for the air conditioning, therefore no air conditioning.
The hotel is decorated nicely and has a restaurant below. The food is overpriced but ok.

MoroccoIn January 2025, I was Taghazout for a holiday and stayed in several hostels (shared rooms), which were all great experiences—until I moved to "La Paix Hôtel, Restaurant." Unfortunately, I encountered discrimination there. I booked a stay through Booking app and arrived with a confirmed reservation. However, the reception was unwelcoming. When I mentioned my booking, I was told the hostel was full. After showing my confirmation, the staff said they needed to consult their boss and asked me to leave and wait for a call. About 30 minutes later, I was called back and placed in a room with four beds, where I was the only occupant. When I inquired about other rooms with people, I was told that they separate Moroccan guests from foreign guests—a policy I had never encountered before. Feeling uncomfortable, I decided to leave. Although I canceled my stay, they charged me for one night, as per their Booking.com policy. This experience was disappointing and completely unexpected. Discrimination has no place in the hospitality industry.
I didn’t end up staying
