Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The rooftop tent was gorgeous and comfortable. There’s a small terrace just outside the tent, which is a on different floor than the main terrace so we were the only ones using it. We had a great night sleep!

AustraliaThe hotel is well located a few minutes' walk inside the walls of the old Cité Portugaise, which was easily reached in a few minutes by taxi from the main bus station. (It's about 15 minutes by taxi to the railway station). I received a friendly welcome from the laid-back host, who was eager to see that settled in OK. Wifi worked well and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom shower was a bit quirky but worked well all the same. The location inside the Medina of the old city is brilliant, and it is but a short walk to main beach and many eating places of El Jadida.

PortugalThe bed mattresses are very hard.
The location is perfect if you want to explore the Portuguese City: in an alley off the main street, you close to it, yet gar enough to be in silence and total rest. The rooms are nice, spacious, and colourful, with plenty of sockets to charge your devices. Extremely well clean, too!

IrelandThe facility quality is what you expect when you only pay 340 dirhams for a quadruple room. Everything is functional, pleasant and worked well. That's the only expectation we had for our one night. Those used to higher prices in Europe may want a more 'finished' bathroom, a second proper bed in the quadruple room (rather than a sofa bed) or the slightly musty smell removed (I didn't notice and my wife didn't find it too bad, but still noticed it). But if you want that, go pay extra elsewhere. Nothing I say here would stop me gladly coming back again.
We were welcomed very well by the workers, who looked after everything we needed and more. The rooftop wasn't being used as we were the only guests, but we still enjoyed going up there for a quick peak at the views. It looks like a great space to chill in on a summer's day. We spent time in the entrance area in the evening instead, playing games and talking with the worker. The breakfast in the morning was in line with many other good breakfasts we've had in Morocco. And fair play to the staff for making it in Ramadan. The location in the medina was more relaxed than I anticipated but delightfully so. We enjoyed short walks to the medina beach, around the medina, and then out to the port and to the Red Castle area along the coast. We enjoyed a dinner nearby too, and many other places could have been walked to. Our 1.5 year old kid was happy throughout.

PortugalThe bed and the bedsheets weren't comfortable at all. The bathroom is really tiny, with no comfort and no privacy.
The location is great, quiet and safe, inside the fortress, quite easy to find.

DenmarkWifi wasn't working very well. We had a double room and a tent, the only bad thing was that the tent was on the 3rd floor and the room on the ground floor. We had to split to sleep because my kid was only 6 years old and way too much up and down. We didn't ask to change the room, It was an amazing experience anyway.
Very friendly and sweet staff, very nice and patient with our kid of six. My kid was feeling home from day one. Very cosy, clean, and beautiful place. The tent with the terrace is surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants. Really amazing! The beach, shops and restaurants are very close.

CanadaThis was a lovely room/tent on the terrace with great outdoor seating in the cooling ocean breezes. The staff was very sweet. The shower was hot but short. There was lots of toilet paper. The room was very romantic. Just know that if you want breakfast you have to order it the day before.
