The hotel doesn't have a shower on every floor...a little bit inconvenient. The hotel is REALLY missing a trick with the with the rooftop terraces. They probably have the best view in Essaouira, but the terraces are a bit run down and there are only three sad and lonely chairs up there. I loved it up there but I would have enjoyed it much more had it been a little more pleasant.

I spent five great nights at Hotel Majestic and found it to be a very good place. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean (common areas, room, bed, and shared toilets). Bed was comfortable and warm. The hotel is a quiet as anywhere in the middle of a medina is going to be.

⚠️ “STAY AWAY – This place should not even be called a hotel” This so-called “hotel” was honestly closer to a nightmare than accommodation. The basics were missing or disgusting: towels had to be requested from reception, no soap was provided, and toilet paper was almost always running out. The toilet was filthy, often left with pee and even feces, and the stench carried all the way to our room. The shower was rusty, moldy, and full of humidity because of no ventilation. Furniture was old, broken, and depressing. WiFi did not work at all. Sleeping was impossible. The rooms are not soundproof, doors are so squeaky that every time another guest went in or out, we woke up. Being in the Medina only made it worse — constant noise, even with the windows shut. The atmosphere felt more like a prison than a holiday. There was even a midnight curfew. The front door was locked after 12:00, and when we returned the receptionist smugly told us he had forgotten about us because the other guests were asleep. When we asked if we could come back later than midnight, his “answer” was: “You can come back at 2, 3, 5… if I hear the knock, I’ll open.” Meaning we could have been locked out in the street. To make matters worse, the night receptionist was rude, sarcastic, and downright creepy — at one point even asking us where we “wanted to go at night,” as if it was suspicious for guests to enjoy the city after dark. Dirty, noisy, smelly, with rude staff and prison rules — Majestic Hotel is one of the worst places you could possibly stay. Avoid it at all costs. There are far better hotels in Essaouira for the same price or less.

I was really hoping for a good experience, but the stay didn’t go well. One of the beds was in bad shape, with a piece of wood sticking out that made it really uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the floor because it was hurting my back. There was no toilet paper available in the room, and with only two showers shared between more than ten rooms, it became quite inconvenient. Also, the place isn’t suited for older people. The stairs are very steep, and there’s no support or help to make the access easier. It might work for someone just looking for a cheap one night stop, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families or anyone expecting a basic level of comfort.

The only main good point of this hotel is the central location, in the heart of the old town of Essaouira.

I didn't expect luxury, but the minimum threshold wasn't fully met (toilet paper always finished in the bathrooms, no towels, no minimum decoration in the room or place to hang clothes, nothing on the rooftop to enjoy it...)

Really cheap price for a central position, so you get what you pay for. The staff at the reception is very kind and supportive though, and the rooftop has a beautiful view (but nothing else).

To name this place a "hotel" is a no go. It was extreamly noisy inside ( door look, door slapping, noise like throwing lagguages around) , toilettes with no toiletpaper and when asked at reception got an angry answer what we have done with the one roll from the say before ( a commun toilette) if we hided it in our room. We changed the hotel even we paied for it.

You had to always lock the doors or it would not stay closed (lock was a little bit broken). Sometimes showers changed the water temperature from normal to hot/cold. But it would change back in a minute to normal tenperature. No toiletries / towel provided.

Room was not big, but it was enough. Bed was big, in the room there was a sink, window, curtains. It was close with every part of Medina. And I think it had one of the highest rooftops of Essaouira. Showers had hot water.
