The Riad is very old, dusty, decrepit and stuffy. No locks inside of the toilets, so no privacy especially if you’re travelling as a family, the toilet doors don’t close fully and had to be left half open. The locks were all placed on the outside of the bedroom doors and toilets. None on the inside, which was odd. Toilet in the top floor bedroom smells really bad, like mold/something rotten. The AC for the moldy bedroom also doesn’t work properly despite being able to turn it on. No ventilation in the showers, you could suffocate in there. The remote for the AC does not work on the top floor living room. The same living room on the top floor also had someone’s dirty shoe marks on the sofa. The blankets were itchy. The cleaning lady tried to unlock the door of the riad, while we were inside. She spoke no English but said “city tax”. This is odd because it was unannounced and she didn’t even knock, just tried to unlock the door and come in. What if no one was home? What was she going to do? Luckily we were home and made the payment. My younger siblings were scared because someone unknown was trying to enter the home. This is very unprofessional. The same cleaner also came knocking on the final morning of our stay, we said we are leaving at 9am but she came at around 8:25am, we had to go downstairs to open the door while we were packing to leave. She literally came in and stood there for half an hour … while we were packing our suitcases, it was a bit awkward. Not sure if this is normal. Unfortunately I paid in full, non-refundable so I couldn’t change to another hotel for the other nights. This place was a catfish and gave haunted/bad vibes over all.

Guest house manager was nice. Location was okay, a bit difficult to find. They let us check in early.

Spacious with major but fixable flaws

There was black mold in the upstairs bathroom, which being connected to one of the bedrooms without any ventilation meant we were breathing it in every night. The hinges/locks were missing or loose, making it impossible to lock some bathrooms. The kitchen sink didn't seem to have warm water. The terrace is connected to the other rooftops, making the home feel quite unsafe, even though some doors do lock to try and prevent this.

The home is very big and spacious, beautifully designed if giving a bit of the "landlord special". There are a lot of thoughtful touches and the beds are very comfortable. The terrace is a highlight
