Reviews of Loued Surf Lodge

The lodge is conveniently located close to the surf spots, restaurants and there is a small grocery shop across the road. I liked the rustic muted decor of the rooms with blackout curtains, a firm matters and warm duvet. The staff were polite and helpful, trying to make my stay comfortable.

Complicated check-in process. The gate was locked when I arrived and there was no bell or nobody to let me in. I had to call them on the phone and ask to open the door. I didn't feel comfortable with communal eating at breakfast. You have to share a table with strangers like in a hostel, and it takes long time to get your food considering that the dishes are very simple and portions are tiny (one pancake and one piece of bread per person). Coffee was weak for my taste, and food was not very healthy - no fruit or vegetables. On two days I didn’t have any hot water in the shower. My room smelled of canalisation from the bathroom. Also, the position of the outdoor shower is very awkward. It’s right inside their coffee shop, with no privacy, you rinse and get out of your wetsuit while other people are eating and looking at you.

Great lodge, lovely staff, nice room with balcony. Love the cafe outside. Very laidback. the perfect hangout spot before or after your surf session.

Way too expensive for the service. The room is not cleaned everyday, there is some humidity odor in the room, not possible to hang stuff in the room. Useless View on a disuse building.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. They even borrowed me a hairdryer. The design, interior and exterior looks very nice,

The bathroom is very small, so it would have been better that the door would turn towards the outside. There's no socket in it, the mirror is very small, there's not enough light and and we only got a peace of soap, no shampoo. When more people are using water at the same time, there's not enough pressure to take a shower.

Everything! The location is ideal, just a few min from the beach. The room with the sea view is beautiful, big and cozy. The staff is great and extremely nice and going the extra miles to make you feel at home. I also appreciated the fact that you can pay everything with credit card (uncommon in Imsouane), which allowed me to easily enjoy dinner at the hotel (big kudos to the chef for the delicious meals!) and to book surf classes via the hotel. I’ll be back for sure!

Clean and cozy hotel, perfect location near to the beach with kind staff, Wissal was helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was good ! I will surely return.

No cleaning services, very basic room for 3 pple to stay in, no variety of choices for food suggestions(breakfast so simple)

Amazing place in Imsouane. The people, breakfast and interior design are all on spot.

The room was very clean and it exactly matched what is seen on the pictures. The staff was very welcoming, responded quickly to any request and they just made me feel like at home. The breakfast was exceptional - everything was home made and delicious. I cannot wait to come back!

Sadly, much of the old Imsouane had been destroyed apparently to make way for new hotels... There was building work going on & lots of debris.

We really loved our stay in L’Oued the Lodge. The place is designed with a good sense of style, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff is super helpful & friendly. It’s located in the heart of Imsouane and they can help you out with surf classes. They also host nice yoga classes on the sunny rooftop with sea view and the Moroccan breakfast is delicious. The atmosphere is very calm & relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

L’Oued is a beautiful beautiful property! The owners have done an amazing job of creating a bright, spacious and homely space - and have perfectly balanced traditional Moroccan features/style with with a contemporary feel. Staff were lovely and really helpful - we were really made to feel at home!

It was so nice we were sad to leave!!
