How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewThe property itself is very charming and well kept. The indoor swimming pool is amazing Very good Moroccan breakfast and dinner on the roof top Super friendly and helpful staff, especially Youssef
The rooms are a bit old style and could do with some updating, especially the air conditioning which is too noisy for the night and the shower.

Verified reviewThe room was MAZING (green walls), so quiet, spacious and quiet. The staff go out of their way to help on everything you could ask. The rooftop pool is perfect temp in summer when i visited. Breakfast delicious and always different. It is a true escape and saviour from the intensity of the medina and yet so close you can go back and forth easily.

Verified reviewThe Riad was very nice and one of the workers Mohammad went above and beyond for us. He always made sure we were safe and even took my friend on the back of his motorcycle so that she could get money from the ATM. Such a lovely experience!

Verified reviewThe property, hammam spa experience, room and overall hospitality.
The bathroom had a little unpleasant smell and was missing an exhaust fan (but that was the case of all the hotels I've stayed in Morocco). Bathroom area can use a shower curtain to avoid water spill all over the bathroom. No iron was provided. You have to get down 2 floors, in the laundry room to have your clothes ironed. The coffee machine had calcium scales on its water jar. Totally unusable. We had to leave early in the morning on our checkout day and had requested breakfast. We were provided with some packed orange juice and muffins for breakfast. I have stayed in smaller Riads than this one and they were able to provide fresh breakfast early in the morning. Hotel telecom service was useless. It seems like nobody was there to pick up the call in the early morning.

Verified reviewIt’s a stunning Riad and the beds are incredibly comfortable! The location is fantastic it made it so easy for me during my stay. The staff were friendly. Breakfast brought up to my room was a nice touch! Was given complimentary drinks on occasion too.
My biggest complaint was the restaurant aspect of the hotel. I sat in the main area for hours and was not asked if I wanted to order anything not even a drink. So I can’t imagine if you’d ever get served if you were sat on the terrace or spa area. This could be the time of year I went but as a guest it just made my time more difficult as I didn’t feel comfortable leaving by myself. Just felt like I couldn’t enjoy the hotel spaces as much as I would’ve liked considering how stunning it is.

Verified reviewYoussef was wonderful, very welcoming and excellent service, the room was nice and warm despite us going in February thanks to the AC that doubles as a heater, the beds were also very comfortable, the terrace views are beautiful, the place is clean, the riad interior is even more beautiful in person, it was very close walking distance to the Medina, and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here if your staying in Fes.

Verified reviewThe riad has a stunning blue and white patio and also a pool and hammam. Unfortunately the pool was unheated and when we booked hammam appointments the riad canceled them due to water problems. I had booked a room with canal view, which cost extra. Our room was large, the bed comfortable but no view of the canal or anything else since the window was about 3 feet above our heads. The room had a very high ceiling. Because of the height of the window it was quite dark. It was cleaned daily and the work was done well, but both the carpet and the upholstery on the chairs were dirty. Another defect is that the plastic shower head is cracked and hard to use. Breakfast can be served in the patio or in your room. We chose the latter. It was a pleasant feature and the food was nice. A warning: the riad has many stairs and steps.

Verified reviewThe main entrance - hallway indoor yard.
Several aspects: The shower head in our room was broken/out of place preventing me to shower prior to going to bed. Water from the bathtub would leak and create a pod towards the bide/toilet area. The toothbrush holder was visibly unclean and so was one of the small towels. The gym are has only 4 very and old machines, most of them completely dysfunctional /with missing parts. I liked the breakfast idea of ordering ahead as it minimises wastage and waiting times however our order got mixed up and this resulted in us wasting 35 minutes. Finally, as we were initially keen on extending our stay for one night and had made arrangements for the spa etc., and had arranged this with the hotel directly as there was no availability on booking.com, when we voiced all of our concerns the management wasn't flexible and unwilling to offer us a discounted rate for all the inconvenience and the disconnect between price and cleaning standards. We left very disappointed and booked another riad more centrally at half the price and where everything was pristine clean.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to comment your stay in our establishment. I would like to give some explanation about your comment. Concerning your bathroom, the shower head unscrewed slightly because of handling, hence the loss of water, we screwed in a few seconds and no more problems neither shower nor loss of water. As for the toothbrush holder and the towel, your complaint was passed on to the houskeeping department, which formally apologizes for it. What's more, one call to reception and we would have replaced everything. I checked the gym myself after your comment, and all the machines are working properly, some were turned off, you just had to turn them on, a poster on the wall suggests you contact reception in case you don't know how to use the machines or if you need help! Our establishment is a riad, not a professional gym, and the gym is here to keep our guests in shape, not to provide high-level training. We have a real time reservation system, if there was no availability on booking, it's because there really wasn't any, and we gave you a discount on a luxury suite, the only one available, you wanted to pay the same price as the standard room, which unfortunately was impossible. Dear customer, please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and we are constantly improving our service. Regards, A. Benkirane Manager

Verified reviewBeautiful room. We stayed in the best superior room. If you like charm with traditional local decor this is perfect. It was my birthday, they left us welcome cookies and tea and later they came with a cake with lit candle and sang some version of happy birthday. It made me emotional.
Need outlet near the bed. Perhaps a small charging devise. I had to unplug the reading lamp.

Verified reviewEverything was lovely, starting from staff members to food, spa facilities etc. Lovely hotel. I hope to come back some day. Cannot comment on the location because we only spent the night here before leaving early morning for a Sahara trip, and we previously stayed closer to the old town in Fes. Potentially it could be a little out of the way for attractions, but taxi is cheap. Special thanks to Youssef from the reception (I hope I remembered the name correctly), what a lovely person and intelligent young man. All the best of luck to him.
