How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewDisappointing Experience for the Price – Not Worth It We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel, especially considering the high price we paid for a room with breakfast included. Upon arrival, we were welcomed at reception and shown to our room — so far, so good. However, our first night was a nightmare. The air conditioning unit was damaged and made a loud noise all night, like a truck engine. Sleeping was nearly impossible, and the room was unbearably hot without it. The next morning, we raised the issue with the front desk and were moved to another room with a working AC. This was appreciated, and we hoped things would improve. The breakfast that day was d very tasty— a good selection of hot and cold items, fresh fruit, cereal, and everything was nicely laid out on a large dining table. Unfortunately, our relief was short-lived. Around 1am, we went to the reception to ask for water, but no one was there. We came back 30 minutes later and still couldn’t find any staff. That was concerning. The biggest shock came the next morning — the breakfast table was completely empty! When we asked the waiter, we were told they don’t prepare a full breakfast when there are five or fewer rooms booked. This was never mentioned when we booked, and it’s completely unacceptable at this price point. The chef eventually made us a very basic breakfast: three slices of ham, some cheese, a bit of bread and croissant, eggs that were clearly reheated from the day before and overcooked, a small fruit salad, a slice of cake, and a yogurt. For the rate they charge, this was appalling. This process took over 40 minutes we started breakfast with half a slice of cake each. The pool is large and clean, which is a plus. But if you don’t have a car, the location is quite inconvenient — far from major attractions. The airport is about 35 minutes away, and Koutoubia Mosque is around 29 minutes (not during peak traffic). Overall, the experience did not justify the cost.

Verified reviewThe massage was excellent and the room was very Comfortable .
There was never anyone in the restaurant to take lunch or dinner orders I had to go and look for someone every time to take my order. The location is very far away from everything in the middle of nowhere. The food was below average for a hotel in Marrakech charging £100 a night. The spa had no water in the jacuzzi no refreshments like advertised and looked quiet run down, the massage was excellent though and the room was very

Verified reviewI never leave negative reviews but I really wish I’d read some about the property before booking because I probably wouldn’t have. Firstly: don’t be fooled by the photos. I booked on the basis of pictures that turned out to be taken in 2011 when the hotel was obviously under different management. The hotel looks nothing like this now. The grounds have been totally neglected, as has the furniture in the common areas. It’s such a shame as it looked so beautiful. All of the fountains have been drained of water and the grounds have been left to wither, it was rather sad. Location: the property is much further than described from most attractions. Would have been fine but it’s described as the Palmeraie area which it isn’t. It’s also the first place I’ve stayed outside the Medina that doesn’t offer a shuttle service. We spent £100 on taxis during our stay. Facilities: I booked because of the spa as described here and on the website. The jacuzzi was drained. I was told it was “under maintenance” which I didn’t believe. Again, a beautiful spa facility left vacant to save money. The sauna was hit or miss whether anyone would turn it on. I had to battle each time to have them turn it on. One member of staff literally lied and said it was, again “under maintenance” and then said “fine, we’ll turn it on”. Once using the sauna, I had to argue for use of a towel. I then wasn’t allowed to leave the spa area with it and had to change into clothes there and then before I could leave. The swimming pool is ICE COLD and therefore unusable. Again, no money spent on heating it so it could be used and not just visible in photos. Food: breakfast was nice but it was sadly understaffed even though the hotel appeared to be full. The restaurant has NO VEGETARIAN OPTION and the tajine didn’t come with cous cous, unheard of in Morocco. We couldn’t quite believe it. I’ll finish by saying I don’t attribute this to any of the staff personally as they seem to be following protocol.

Verified reviewNothing apart from the waiters they were friendly.
The manager, Redoane, requested a strange deposit of €1000, which I firmly declined. When he asked if I had cash, I was taken aback, as I had never encountered this request before. I inquired about the alternative if I chose not to make the deposit, and he bluntly stated that I would either need to provide it or leave. I found his demeanor quite rude for a manager. He also claimed he would take responsibility if anything were to be stolen, which was both inappropriate and unprofessional. Additionally, regarding the city tax, I had booked for two people but arrived alone. He insisted I pay for two, and when I agreed to use my card, he abruptly said payment could only be made in cash. This felt sneaky, as I have always been able to pay city tax with a credit card. Lastly, be aware that the rooms are located near the parking area, where loud conversations from the guards can be disruptive. See the pictures below its not as it seems in the pictures they have, Be aware ⚠️ before you book.
