Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThey can do a better job at keeping the surrounding a bit more cleaned and upkeep.
The hotel itself is breathtaking and the original suite we selected was just so beautiful, but unfortunately due to an unexpected event we had to relocate to another suite. The location and parking was great, not too close but also not to far from the city.

United KingdomI didn’t like that a stranger sat outside the room in the chair on the terrace for two nights. The female manager overcharged us on the city tax. On the Booking.com invoice it stated £19, however we were charged 300 dirhams. I questioned it and asked for an invoice but the lady refused.
Absolutely loved the buildings and decor, very authentic. All the staff except the female manager were so helpful. It is a small and friendly place where you get the personal touch. Food excellent, amazing breakfast.

ChinaThe facilities are kind of out-of-date. Water in our bathroom did not flow down normally and the floor got wet after shower. The light in one of our bedrooms did not work. While these issues may be annoying for most people, I understand that a big renovation could break the old-day atmosphere of this palace, which is precious compared with the modern thing. Instead, I would suggest to regularly maintain the facilities.
This is a real palace. The suites are distributed in a large garden, so it takes minutes to walk from our room to the main lobby. It even deserves half a day for the decorations in the main lobby. Overall quite a memorable accommodation for me. The location is away from the old city, quite yet not so convenient. I will highly recommend it as a second stay after one in the old city. That brings experience of two different worlds. The suite is incredibly spacious, with two large beds in two separate bedrooms, besides the living room. Moreover, one garden in front of the living room. and the other courtyard behind the bedroom! Breakfast is good, although not so much choice, but enough for me. I love this place and wish to come back again in the future.

United KingdomJust a few items of repair needed here and there, toilet flush handle not firmly attached to the wall, shower handle quite stiff to adjust. No light curtain - so we had to close full curtains of our room for any privacy as there were staff walking / gardeners working around the grounds near our ground floor room. Service could be slow. Pool area - needs a steady supply of pool towels. Ideally wanted a twin room for our children. There was no option to set the beds up like this but they did make up a sofa bed.
Breakfast area by pool is lovely but had issues with lots of bees around the tables - so they could figure out a way to manage that better, we elected to sit inside on second day as it was an issue for our kids. Rooms were really large and plenty of storage. Comfortable beds. Staff friendly.

United StatesHotel felt a little run down It needs a big refresh both room and common areas would be much more beautiful if they had a furniture and paint update. A lot of art throughout the hotel made it feel like a clutter. Hotel would feel more clean with slightly more minimalist touch. There were beautiful dining rooms inside the palace that should have been better accommodated as common areas since they were not utilized. Very light staffing in the hotel with no proper bar area or lounge made it feel more like a 3 star experience. It was a bit of a shame because this has the potential to be a fantastic hotel. The hotel needs a rebranding and new positioning with a big refresh to live up to the beautiful palace that it can be.

United KingdomAt times, service at breakfast and around the pool can be unorganised, however once this was pointed out the staff were keen to improve
Only 20 mins by car from the madness of the madina. Extreamly good value hotel, spacious rooms, set in manicured gardens. We had a very relaxing stay here. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Great food menu and a set traditional Moroccan breakfast served around the pool. For the majority of our stay the hotel was very quiet, no kids and a small amount of guests. The showstopper is the pool, it’s absolutely wonderful for lengths and cooling off. We will be back for sure. I do think some of the reviews are unkind, yes the furniture may be dated in places but this adds to the authenticity of this property. If you want a sanitised 5 star hotel with silver service then this is not for you. Personally, I loved the eclectic interiors and architecture it’s Marrakech after all. Well done Sofia and team, see you next time!

United KingdomThe decor needs updating especially the bathrooms. There was a smell of drains in the ground floor room and the shower leaked in the other room.
It was authentic and the staff were very good but we felt it was equally understaffed but maybe that was the time of year. Reception staff were particularly good.

SpainThe cleanliness of our room, could have been better. Although the breakfast was good, it was the same everyday. A selection of fruit, yogurt and other healthy options would have made it perfect.
We choose this hotel to be in a quieter area of the city, the only inconvenience is that you need a taxi each time you want to go out. Beautiful gardens, lovely setup by the pool and we were upgraded to a lovely room which was massive. Breakfast and lunch served outside by the pool was an added bonus as we had warm weather throughout our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff and a special shout out to Hamid, our polite, helpful and safe taxi driver.
