We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SlovakiaThe stairs are higher than expected so it was quite a challenge to go up and down for our toddler. We did not have any electricity in the house on the last evening and morning which made our departure from Tangier quite complicated.
Lovely house in the middle of the old town with a well-equipped kitchen and a beautiful terrace. A very welcoming host!

NetherlandsMohamed, the House keeper, picked us up at the Grand Socco at 0030 at night and escorted us to the flat. The flat is centrally located in Tangier's Medina, close to all sights. The flat consists of 3 small floors and a roof terrace. The stairs are narrow and steep, but doable. There are 2 bedrooms, with El having its own bathroom. The flat was clean and all the facilities mentioned in the ad were there. We had a lovely stay, thanks also to the good care of Mohamed. Highly recommended!

United KingdomI hate to say anything bad as the Petit Bijou really is a lovely little place, but the shower setup isn't great... I stayed in the upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom, which like most Moroccan bathrooms has no shower screen and combines both toilet and shower into a kind of wet room. As long as you keep most items you want to keep dry out of the way (clothes, toilet paper), I find that this generally works OK. However after a few minutes of running the tap, the floor floods and water spills into the bedroom. The electric hot water boiler upstairs in the stairwell is only a small one, and so a shower lasting any longer than 5-10 minutes will empty the tank. This means having to rinse off in cold water, which in a room heated only by a tiny electric radiator is a pretty uncomfortable experience. The radiator itself seems to give a small electric shock when touching it - might be best to keep small children and vulnerable people away.
The Petit Bijou really is a little gem in Tangier, super close to the Petit Socco and most other tourist attractions, and beautifully decorated inside with quirky items and original stained glass windows. Alain kindly met us nearby to bring us back to the apartment as it's not marked on Google Maps. We had the whole place to ourselves including the cute little roof terrace - although it was too cold to sit outside in December, I can imagine that it's a lovely place to have breakfast during the warmer months. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need to cook a meal - a bottle of water and coffee were complimentary when we visited.

United KingdomI'm spoilt. No AC. No WiFi. I can live with that though and to be fair it wasn't on the property description. I would like to have had ceiling fans. Take ear plugs, the Muezzin starts early!
It's a lovely little apartment in the middle of the ancient market area, so the location is amazing. It's well appointed with traditional tiling and decor. Stained glass windows open to alley views. The kitchen has all you need to prepare food. The 360deg view from the roof is a great place to have a coffee while the city wakes up. We felt secure with the metal double locking door. The host met us and took us to the apartment and showed us round.

Very kind, friendly and helpful host. Mr. Mohamed met and checked us in early in the morning. The location of the house is also ideal - in the very center of the Medina, but close to the city gates and taxi stations. Magnificent roof terrace with stunning views. The house itself is very cozy, traditional and has lots of space - we had 4 whole floors at our disposal! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, very comfortable beds. And I really loved the decorations in the house, awesome photographs, paintings, vases, mirrors and other decorations. 100% recommended!
