How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA hidden riad in the heart of medina. At first it is difficult to navigate but staying there for four days it made us easy to go back and forth. The staff especially murad is very accomodating and our breakfast is so good. Thank you and we highly recommend staying in this riad.

Verified reviewWell located and comfortable riad. All the staff has been great, very welcoming and friendly! Photos of the room should be added, as it's actually pretty nice.
Unfortunately we couldn't really enjoy the rooftop as it was being renovated.
Thanks for choosing our riad. Hopefully to see you again and to see the new perception of the terrace with the new look. we will do our best to satisfy the needs of our customers.

Verified reviewThe staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The riad is clean and has all the mod cons (A/C, hairdryers etc) plus the showers are perfect for washing off a busy day travelling. The spot is close enough to all the main sites, but slightly away from the party spots/main tourist area, which makes it quiet and relaxing, just what we wanted.

Verified reviewWe had a great week at Riad Rasia. We liked the location, being just a tiny bit removed from the busyest streets of the medina, in a quiet corner but close to all the action. Breakfast every day was delicious and plentiful. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated in the traditional Moroccan style. I particularly liked the big stained glass window. The staff were all extremely friendly and genuinely kind.
I can't really think of anything we didn't like.

Verified reviewThe riad was in a great location close to the medina in old medina. The place was as pictured and beautiful. We had a walking day trip organized by the riad, dinner served at the riad. Hammam is under construction as well. Great location. Side note. Will have a 5 min walk from the main road to get to the riad

Verified reviewThe host welcomed us warmly with mint tea and sesame cookies upon arrival. The mint tea was incredibly refreshing, and the cookies were delicious! After leaving, we couldn’t find mint tea as good as this anywhere else. We also tried a traditional local dish (a type of bread) at the hotel, and it was absolutely tasty. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, and the courtyard had a lot of character and charm. The host was very friendly and made us feel at home.
The air conditioning unit in the room seemed dusty, which triggered our allergic rhinitis, causing itchiness in our eyes, nose, and throat. Unfortunately, the heating function of the air conditioning wasn’t working, so we had a cold night as there was no other source of warmth.
Thanks for choosing our riad . we will take all what you say into consideration. we do our best to satisfy the needs of our customers.

Verified reviewThe riad is very beautiful! The location is great, it was easy to find it. The only problem was that Google maps didn’t show the correct final turn. Staff is welcoming and supportive - gave us all the necessary info about medina, helped with the luggage, communicated before arrival. The room was simple but clean with good AC.
The soap and shampoo were poor, the were no shower gel.

Verified reviewRATING BY GUEST SUSANNE: Staying at Riad Rasia felt like stepping into a dream. Every detail of the accommodation was lovingly and beautifully designed. I enjoyed the most restful sleep in the white, immaculately clean, and crisp sheets of a spacious wooden four-poster bed. The staff, particularly Murad, went above and beyond to take care of me. He thoughtfully explained which sites to visit and flawlessly arranged transport for me. Breakfast was an exceptional experience—a feast for the senses. Every dish was artfully presented in beautiful little bowls, with a new delicacy to savor each day. I had my own cozy breakfast corner, complete with a charming rose-patterned sofa, where I could savor my breakfast in perfect comfort.

Verified reviewThe riad was beautiful, showcasing the traditional charm of the area perfectly. Our host Mourad was exceptionally kind and helpful, assisting us with everything we needed.
During the day, the riad hosts tourist groups for lunch, so preparations begin early in the morning. As a result, you may wake up to the strong smell of cooking, onions, in particular. We noticed that by the time we left, all of our belongings had absorbed the scent of food ( something i really did not like). It would have been great if the food at the riad were more reasonably priced, as it was on the expensive side (European prices). This would have been especially helpful, given that the food options in the area didn’t always seem the cleanest or most appetizing. The riad is located in the old town of Fes, which, for us, was very overwhelming. The neighborhood is densely crowded and not clean, with some common tourist traps (beware of claims like "this shop only opens once a year"). Additionally, there was a strong smell of leather that even permeated the riad itself. In my opinion, Fes may not be the most baby-friendly destination. These details aren’t necessarily drawbacks specific to Riad Rasia, as they likely apply to many riads in the area. However, it's helpful to know what to expect before visiting Fes.

Verified reviewBeautiful house and well located. Staff is amazing, welcoming and helpful. We particularly enjoyed Mourad's (hope I got his name right) service and help answering all our questions about the medina. Rooms are spacious.
The hotel feels slightly unfinished - work is still going on on the rooftop and the main common areas are empty. The hotel could benefit from more ambiance and lighting (especially after sundown where all the lights are turned off and the place is completely dark) but that did not affect the overall comfort.
