How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewExtremely friendly staff, always eager to help. The Riad location was good too. Near to everywhere. Breakfast was delicious too, worth the money
There isn't anything that we did not like in the Riad. For outside the Riad, hated the motorbikes and how they drive. Hated even more local shops, coffee shops, accepting cards in the morning and only cash later on

Verified reviewEveryone really does go out of their way to make this riad feel like a home away from home, and the room and garden were beautiful. Just far enough from the central medina to enjoy some peace, but close enough for a quick walk to the action in both the medina and Gueliz

Verified reviewThe Riad 4 Jardins & Spa was one of the best accommodations I have ever been to. The rooms were very well accommodated, and the AC worked well. The location was fantastic as it is located inside the Medina of Marrakesh, and it is an easy 10-minute walk to the main square. The whole estate was very nice and well-kept. Jamal and Mohammed were great hosts and provided us with a detailed explanation of Marrakesh´s best sights, and gave us a custom map. The rooftop terrace was also splendid. My friends and I spent a lot of time there. We also used the opportunity to visit the hammam and the massage provided by the Riad. Would truly recommend trying the hammam as it is truly an experience. The breakfasts were also great and provided a range of options, from local pancakes and bread to yogurt, fresh fruits, and omelets. My friends left at 3 AM, and Mohammed even prepared a breakfast package for them! That should tell you that Mohammed and Jamal are truly great hosts, and they will try to help you in any way possible. Would 100 % recommend staying here as it was a wonderful Moroccan experience.
Everything was perfect!

We were in Marrakech on a 109-degree day. The air conditioning was not cooling properly, and neither was our daughters. It was hot in the rooms even at night. Bed was hard.

Verified reviewI cannot rate this riad highly enough. Jamal is an absolute treasure and nothing was too much trouble. We woke up late for breakfast one morning, but he still bought us an incredible spread out in the garden. He was very knowledgeable about the area and was very helpful with suggestions and arranging taxi's. The riad and the gardens are beautiful. A quiet haven in a good location. Jamal is one of those beautiful souls that you feel very privileged to meet. If you are in Marrakech, you absolutely need to stay here. We will be back. Molli & Billie

Verified reviewWe loved our stay in this Riad, especially our mornings and evenings in the garden. Everything is within walking distance, and there's even a parking lot in 5 mins in case you come by car. There are about 6–7 rooms in the Riad, each one different, so please make sure to book the one that suits your needs. We booked two rooms. The room on the top floor had its own private terrace, was very bright, and had a cupboard. In contrast, the room on the first floor didn’t have a cupboard, was a bit dark, and was located close to the Riad's entrance, so we could always hear when someone came or left during the day. Overall, it’s a lovely place to spend your holidays in Marrakech. Thank you to the entire team and the owner for the warm hospitality!

Verified reviewI had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at Riad Jardin 4, and I can confidently say it was the most homely experience I’ve ever had while traveling. From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed like family by Mr. Jamal, the wonderful owner whose warmth, hospitality, and personal touch made me feel completely at ease. He truly treats his guests like his own. The Riad itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm — a true oasis tucked away from the bustle of the Medina. Every moment spent here was filled with calm and care. A big heartfelt thank you to Fatima Zahra and Mohammed, who were incredibly kind and attentive. Their generosity and genuine smiles added so much to my stay. I left with beautiful memories, a full heart, and the promise to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Moroccan hospitality and a place that feels like home. 🌿✨
Wish there could be an Iron board available 😛

Verified reviewIt is beautiful, walking distance to many attractions and the staff is wonderful. There are Moroccan artworks in the rooms and the garden. Everyone greeted me and offered assistance with planning activities and carrying them out. And the breakfast is enormous!
On the first few days I got lost looking for the entrance from the street. But people in the neighborhood were helpful and I soon learned the correct place to turn.

Verified reviewAn Oasis of peace, silence and tranquility right in the heart of the bustling Medina. The Hamam and massage facilities are very special. Our hosts were really kind and helpful and a special thanks to Mohammed the young manager for his kindness. We did appreciate that 5 am early breakfast he insisted on providing for us before our departure.
