Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere wasn't that much not to like. A Riad is like a bed and breakfast or a guest house. It has its quirks, it may be very minimalistic, but in a way it adds character. No TV, but I didn't miss it. You may have to ask about changing sheets and towels, though.
Ideal location to springboard off on your excursions. Plenty of restaurants within short walking distance and of course the famous market. You are more or less left to your own devices. The host was very good. Although my stay included breakfast set between 8am to 11am, he still cooked a 7am breakfast before my 7:30am excursion. The WiFi was good enough too.

IrelandMy room was on the second floor, and after a long, tiring day, climbing the stairs felt a bit exhausting.
When I first arrived at the property, I felt a little nervous, but that quickly faded. The hosts were true gentlemen with warm, welcoming, and respectful gestures which immediately gave me a sense of security. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with the Danish pastry being a standout treat. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary laundry service provided by the staff,an incredibly helpful gesture that made a big difference. The location is excellent: shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance, and there's a less touristy market just a few minutes away, offering a great glimpse into local life. The bathroom was clean and comfortable, with both hot and cold water readily available. The room itself was quiet, cozy, and perfect for a restful stay.AC was chilled.

ItalyThe WiFi was not really working and the bathroom had and issue with the flow of water in the sink. Generally the room looked a bit empty.
The place is in a nice location close to the gate routiere but also close enough to explore the medina. The lady who welcomed us and prepared breakfast was super nice and helpful. The room was a bit cold as in every riad but good blankets were provided.

GermanyWe stayed in January, so when the weather was not that warm. The bathroom window did not close, so that added to the cold air coming to the room. It would be better if it is fixed and can be closed. There was an electric heater in the room, which was good, but we didn't think it would be safe to keep it on during the night.
We were happy with our stay in the riad. It was exactly as it was advertised and met our expectations. It has a nice little rooftop terrace to enjoy the view and the sun. The gentleman running the place is the most attentive, kind and caring person. He even got up and prepared us a little packed breakfast to go for our very early departure at 6:20 am.

United KingdomNothing. All good. Perhaps the air conditioning may be a little bit too weak for the middle of summer.
The hospitality offered from the man who runs the place was excellent. Offered to make us early breakfasts wheb we left for tours. The breakfasts were complete (pastry, eggs, bread, jam, butter, tea/coffee, orange juice and yogurt). The rooms felt very homely and the general vibe is very relaxed and peaceful. The Riad is located very close to the Medina without being in the chaos of it.

SpainNo signage on the outside of the building - it is just a numbered door
This is a very small riad tucked away down a quiet cul de sac which meant that it was very quiet, The room was pretty basic as we expected for the price but it was very clean and fresh smelling and certainly adequate for a night's stay. Good wifi connection and the souk was only a couple of minutes walk away The owner was really friendly and helpful - he arranged an early breakfast for us when we were leaving early for an excursion.

United KingdomOne thing to note - the maze like souq road that takes you from the old madina (location of the hostel) to the central square ( masjids Al fanaa courtyard/ Saha) with all the bazzars,,,,this road closes at nigh around 11am, with wooden doors etc. if you get lost in there it'll be difficult to come out on your own especially that Google maps won't help in these super narrow streets , and when it's at night it's super creepy Just avoid that road after 11pm 😂
Staff were very accommodating and kept our bags after check out until our flight time . Super delicious breakfast and a terrace overlooking old city . Rooms have air conditioning which is useful in Marrakech for the heat Note that as everywhere else, check in here is at 12 or 2pm , not at 9am as what booking says ( we arrived 10 am and staff were very accommodating, sat us in a cozy cool room and brought tea and checked us in once a room was empty and cleaned around 11) just to be aware Otherwise would highly recommend it

GeorgiaWrong check-in time (9:00 in the application, and about 14 in reality). Problem with geo-location: in the Booking app and Google maps the address is set in an adjacent passage.
Excellent owners, very friendly and polite. Good location, 15 minutes to the main square. Spacy room and enough space in the bathroom , which is quite rare for chip hotels there.
