Our room was delicate and very nice an typical Moroccan. Made the atmosphere lovely. The staff was positive and helpful our entire stay. Small pool to cool down in and short walks form the market. We will recommend a stay here.

A littlebit small place for our suitcases in our room so we had to use the floor which made it tight to walk around. Our aircondition was not the best, especially needed when it was 45 degrees outside. Would love to have a refrigerator in the room. And would prefer some water for the breakfast aswell.

    Property response:

Hello, Thank you very much for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted that you chose our establishment for your stay, even if some aspects did not entirely meet your expectations. We take note of your comments regarding the size of the room, the air conditioning, the lack of a refrigerator, and the availability of water at breakfast. These elements are important for the comfort of our guests, and your suggestions help us improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in better conditions, and we will do everything possible to make your next stay even more enjoyable. Sincerely,

Good neighbourhood, cosy building. Nice to have a pool. Nice roof terrace in the evenings.

Breakfast is served a bit late, several times we couldn't wait for it because we would have missed the group activities. There are no lockers or shelves in the rooms for clothes and personal items. No glasses/mugs in the room or in the bathroom.

    Property response:

Dear Guest, We sincerely thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed the neighborhood, the warm atmosphere of our establishment, as well as the pool and rooftop terrace, which are particularly pleasant in the evenings. We also take note of your comments regarding breakfast, the tidy rooms, and the lack of dishes. Your observations are invaluable and help us identify areas for improvement to provide our guests with an even more comfortable stay. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Sincerely,

Location. Only a few minutes walk from the square. Decor nice.

Numerous issues. Room not ready at 2pm. Receptionist unclear whether I had paid or not. Then taken to the wrong room. 45 minutes to sort the issue. Had to wait in a very hot area and not even offered water. Staff very noisy mid afternoon when we were trying to catch up on sleep after a 3am start. No explanation of facilities other than trying to upsell their spa and restaurant. Breakfast was nice but again no explanation of what the process was. Just left waiting. Transfer from airport was good but luckily we had read about the strange transfer from the cab to a man with a barrow otherwise we would have been quite freaked out by this as the riad had not informed us. On arriving back to the riad at 11pm, the receptionist told me I owed money for taxes and needed to pay immediately demanding to know what time we would be leaving the next day. I curtly assured him I would pay in the morning. The beauty of a small riad is the personal service you normally get. This was not the case here. Not a great experience and this was for my daughter’s birthday. Will be neither returning nor recommending.

The building had so much character & was so charming; especially the front door. The staff was exceptional - they were so accommodating and kind. We had no issues with any of the amenities, including the A/C.

    Nothing

Plunge pool was very welcome. The breakfast was freshly made and plentiful.

The stairs were a challenge as they are steep and twist, not for the less able.

    Location is pretty central.

Avoid this Riad at all costs — a deeply disappointing and uncomfortable experience. What initially appeared to be a warm and welcoming stay quickly turned into something we couldn't wait to leave behind — mainly due to the completely inappropriate behavior of the receptionist, who should not be working in hospitality. Scam disguised as a spa service: The receptionist recommended a massage service that turned out to be a complete scam. He led us to a rundown space with poor hygiene and unprofessional service — nothing remotely close to what you'd expect for €40. It felt more like a trap than a recommendation. Unacceptable and disturbing behavior: What’s far worse is that the receptionist crossed every professional boundary. After we voiced our disappointment with the spa, he made an unsettling offer to give me a massage himself. From there, the comments escalated. At one point, he said directly: "You know I’m trying with you, right?" — despite wearing a wedding ring. When I confronted him about it, he dismissed it, saying it was just a random ring he bought from a shop. Later, he repeated the same inappropriate comment again, trying to coax me into staying another night. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional — it’s predatory. I felt deeply uncomfortable and disrespected throughout. To anyone considering this Riad: take our experience as a warning — do not stay here.

    Property response:

Dear Yijie, First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest apologies for the experience you encountered during your stay at our Riad. What you described is absolutely unacceptable and does not reflect the values we uphold as a hospitality establishment. Please rest assured that we have taken immediate and firm action regarding this matter. The staff member in question is no longer part of our team, as such behavior has no place in our Riad, or anywhere in our industry. We are sincerely grateful that you brought this situation to our attention. Your feedback has been invaluable in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all our guests. It is through comments like yours that we are able to improve and ensure the wellbeing of everyone who stays with us. We deeply regret that your experience did not meet the standard you deserve, and we truly appreciate your courage in speaking out. Warm regards, The riad Abaka Team Management.
