Because the Riad was authentic. Our room was on little snug.

Riad is spotlessly clean. Breakfast exceptional. Fresh and delicious. Staff amazing, helpful and nothing was a problem for them. Abdul was always on hand to help arrange trips and taxis.

The room we had was on the ground floor by the door. This made it subject to hearing all comings and goings from the riad. This room is also very dark and not well ventilated, it felt a bit like a cave. Would avoid this room.

Nice design, great staff that were very attentive. The riad is very quiet and peaceful.

Everything was great, Abdu was very helpful and we had the most fantastic dinner on the rooftop, just us, far from the crowd. So delicious. I would suggest just a little more variety for breakfast

Very small, only four rooms, quiet, cool and very peaceful. But the best part was Abdou, who was so caring and helpful. And as a woman traveling alone, I felt totally cared for. He was the best and made my stay so wonderful

It’s a small riad, so the room was a bit compact, and there was no door between the room and the bathroom, which could be awkward.

I loved staying at Riad Alena! The airport shuttle was a breeze – the driver was very nice and shared lots of great recommendations on the way to the riad. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the terrace overlooking the king’s gardens in the morning was wonderful. All the staff were incredibly helpful and lovely. The location was brilliant – I could walk to all the major places.

The food was incredible and we had chosen the road because of this and because it said you get a different breakfast each day but sadly we had the exact same breakfast for three days running. Also beware no toilet door if you are a private couple!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is a small and beautiful riad in Marrakech. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfast was delicious, and the view was amazing. I loved that I could make myself a delicious coffee anytime. The riad had a lovely family atmosphere. I would like to especially thank Soulaimane, who took care of everything from arrival to departure. I would definitely choose to stay at this riad again in the future.

The room didn’t have a lock on it. I was given one when asked though.

Fantastic location, in the medina but only just. So it’s easier to get your bearings.

I liked everything.

The breakfast was great. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee along with yogurt and eggs & Moroccan delicacies. The location was perfect. It's not too deep in the Medina and enabled quick entry and exits.

That I had to leave!

A charming 4 room only Riad. Host and staff were super friendly and helpful. Felt like I was staying in someone’s home as a treasured guest. Breakfast is amazing, pure traditional and home made delights! Each morning I ate on the cosy roof terrace. Location is just inside the Medina with parking (paid) nearby. Main area is 5 mins through the winding alleyways 😄 Quite at night 👍🏽

For light sleepers, the Riad is quite small so it is possible to hear people moving around. However, not much of a problem and if it is, I would advise taking one of the rooms upstairs

Amazing little spot, right in the middle of the medina. Staff were incredibly helpful (helping us book great tours/trips and restaurants every night) and preparing amazing food. Highly recommend the dinner in the Riad one night too. Thank you for an amazing time.

I liked everything

This was such a stunning little Riad. Very chic decor. Very easy to access, in my favorite part of the Medina. I have stayed in 5-6 different Riads in Marrakech and 10-12 in Morocco and this was by far my favorite.

Room was a little small.

Souleiman and Abla were great staff, very helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing. Location was very good. Decoration of the room was nice.

Riad Alena exceeded all our expectations based on the style of the venue, the lovely staff, insane breakfast and the owner Louis friendly approach and helpfulness with other referrals in Marrakech. We will 100% be going back.

Riad Alena is a true gem, excellent location, friendly staff, you feel safe and secure also, a good wifi. Louis makes you feel at home, the staff Soulaimane and Habla are very accommodating and kind. The breakfast is delicious you have the choice to eat on the beautiful terrace. You are also offered in the lounge tea, coffee and water to help yourself and Bagheera the dog is wonderful. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Divine little Riad, beautifully decorated, steps from El Fenn and - heaven - car access! Louis makes you feel as if you are in your own home, and Suleiman and Abla looked after us so well. Best thing of all were the beds - ridiculously comfortable with gorgeous linens. We’re going back in a few weeks!
