How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewFriendly staff, beautiful Riad and nice rooftop.
Could be a bit closer to the center, even though in a nice area.

Verified reviewThe Riad was very clean, the staff are very friendly and always available to help. It's very cozy and the Hamman Massage was just incredible...at first i thought it was expensive, but after 1h30min of the massage me and my wife left a good tip. The breakfast was good and had some variety throughout the week. Bed was also very comfortable to sleep after a day of adventures in Marrakech.

Verified reviewWonderful Riad with a family atmosphere. Staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. Fatima and Yusuf were amazing hosts. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The whole riad is kept spotless. Only downfall is that the pool is indoors and it’s very small.

Verified review- Beautiful Riad with clean and big rooms and lovely decor. - The staff are excellent and attentive and were very happy to help with any requests we had - particularly needing things like hot water and fridge space for baby food - Close enough to the Souks - we managed to walk with our buggy. Felt generally safe at night time though we did not stay very late/walk very late at night. - Overall a lovely stay at this beautiful Riad
- The pool is in the middle of the Riad visible to all rooms. Although a beautiful pool not practical in terms of using it.

Verified reviewThe pool and the room were ok
The hotel staff were quite unfriendly and they didn't speak english. They told us that we can't laugh and play at the swimming pool because there was a massage going on. You need earplugs if you are a light sleeper. You can hear all the noise from the hotel (sounds from the kitchen, music until 10 p.m. etc). It is allowed to smoke in the hotel breakfast area (partly open glass ceiling). Breakfast included a tiny nutella bottle ("20 ml") and our 9 year old daughter took it; when we were leaving from the hotel the receptionist ran after us and she told us (with google translator) that they want the nutella bottle back.

Verified reviewBreakfast was fine. It was nice that they offered to make you eggs if desired.
My main dislike was the location. The walk to the center of the medina wasn't that far but the fact that one had to cross several busy streets was a bit nerve-wracking (crosswalks often not observed by cars/motorbikes).

Verified reviewBeautiful and cozy riad, with a comfortable bed and very good wifi. Our room had a huge bathroom. All perfectly clean and the hosts were so helpful and nice. They helped us to rent a car too. It is like a 15-minute walk to the Jemaa El Fnaa square. The riad is in a typical narrow street you find in medina, looks a bit scary at first, but we felt good and safe all the time.
We loved it.

Verified reviewThe riad was very clean & tastefully decorated. The room was very big & felt new. I had a great sleep. I would have preferred a closed shower, maybe they can invest in a portable shield. Breakfast was presented beautifully in the morning. We had access to Netflix, which was a nice touch. It's like a little hidden haven. Our room was cleaned every day. There is a lovely rooftop area to relax in.
On 2 occasions, we were asked if we had paid for our room. I had paid before arriving in Marrakech, so that made us feel a little uneasy. It was quite a walk to get to the riad & it's in a location where cars can't drive. After a long day of exploring, it was a bit exhausting. We didn't realise there was aircon till we were about to leave, this wasn't explained when we arrived.

Verified reviewBeautiful Riad and really nice rooms. We felt very secure and at ease during our stay. Really nice staff and great breakfast! Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. This Riad gets a full recommendation from us :)
Sometimes a bit of a language barrier but the staff spoke fluent French. We just used google translate in our phones.

Verified reviewOur stay at **Riad Tsar Mimoun** was nothing short of exceptional! The property itself was stunning—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with traditional **Moroccan tea** and delicious snacks, a warm gesture that set the tone for our stay. We stayed for 5 nights, and our room was impressively spacious, spotlessly clean, and elegantly designed. The attention to detail made it feel like a luxurious home away from home. The pool was a favorite spot for us to unwind and relax, offering a refreshing escape from the heat. The location was perfect—just a **12-minute walk from the main square**, allowing us to easily explore the vibrant city of Marrakesh. It was peaceful yet close enough to all the action. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’re already looking forward to coming back! 🌿
I loved everything about it,
