Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsWhat a amazing place and the staff is so kind and are always helpful. The riad is located in the middle of Medina what is really nice in my opinion. I stayed here for 8 days and will definitly come back. I will recommend Riad Anjar to everyone who wants to stay in Marrakech.

United KingdomYou can hear a lot of ambient noise but this is just how riads are I suppose. Air con was very nosy but necessary due to the heat. Our room was also under the roof terrace area so the sound of tables and chairs being moved later at night was a bit annoying. Also the entrance leading to the front door from the street feels a bit sketchy and is very dark and one evening there were multiple men just hanging out there which felt a little unsafe. It would be nice if they lit this area up and had better signage to make it feel safer, especially as we were 2 women and you have to wait at the door for them to open it, we didn’t have a key.
It’s beautiful and has nice size tools and a lovely roof terrace / restaurant area. Great that you can black out the rooms with the window shutters.

United KingdomIt could be a bit chilly in the courtyard (we travelled in March) and the pool was unheated so only for the brave. We would have appreciated bottled water being provided in the room or easier access to drinks in general.
Beautiful riad filled with Moroccan treasures and antiques. Large bedroom and bathroom with simple toiletries provided. Gorgeous rooftop terrace. Breakfast was delicious with pancakes, fruit, pastries, eggs and more. We had one evening meal here and it was excellent also.

United KingdomYou will be woken up by the call to prayer at 6 am every morning. 10 euro for breakfast is expensive for Marrakech. Would charge 25 euro per person for an airport transfer. Easier to go out on the straight and hail a cab
Location easy to find. Right in the middle of the Medina near all the good sights. Property was beautiful

United KingdomThe breakfast was a little repetitive but it was still plentiful and the cost of refreshments was slightly expensive but these are very minor points. The staff and location made up for these.
The staff were wonderfu, welcomingl and helpful and the Riad is exactly what we wanted as a base. The rooms were individual and stunning. Special thanks to Uma who booked us a hammam at Mille et un Nuit which was a true experience. Fabulous in all areas.

United KingdomI would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room but just take your own. Evening meal was delicious though perhaps not value for money.
The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, traditional, overlooking central little pool, lounge area. The riad is a great place to stay and perfect location for exploring Marrakech.

United KingdomAbsolutely no complaints at all!
An amazing little find in the heart of Marrakech. Run by the most friendly ladies who are so helpful. We found our guide through them, they booked our hammam and spa at a beautiful spa (2 minute walk away) and organised our taxi. Dinner was wonderful and breakfast served daily. Enjoying a dip in the pool and a bottle of wine on the terrace in the evening was just perfect!!

United KingdomBeing separated from the main riad did mean we didn't really go in there to relax - we could have but it felt like extra effort. We did know about this at booking but one way to make ot more welcoming could be a key for the riad for those in the apartment.
We stayed in the apartment which was really spacious and we loved the different rooms / levels. Once you stepped into the apartment you felt very secluded from the bustle of Marrakech! We had a tagine there on our first night which was really good. Staff were very helpful
