Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MoroccoThe room was a bit too small for the expectations set from the photos shared
Lovely staff and great location. Easy to access and very calm within the walls of the riad. The terrace and pool were our absolute favorite parts.

United KingdomThe riad is a the end of an alleyway was not ideal for access. You should be prepared to carry or wheel your luggage about 150 m down a cobbled street to get a point where you could transfer it to and from a taxi. Our room was the suite for the stay and whilst the room size was great but it had no window or view. Whilst some may not like this, being higher often meant noise from neighboring buildings and the quiet dark room assured a good night's sleep.
Both staff members, Ali and Yassine were exceptionally helpful during our two night stay. Between them they were able to organise an early breakfast one morning, a hammam for another afternoon, and a very nice cooked meal inside the riad for our second evening, which was welcome after a very long day out and about. The riad appears newly refurbished and decorated and was an ideal base for a busy few days of sightseeing in Marrakesh.

PortugalOur stay at Riad ANYSSA was absolutely perfect and exceeded all our expectations. The warmth and hospitality of Ali and Yassine were truly exceptional — they made us feel completely at home and safe from the moment we arrived. They helped us with all our questions about the reservation and the city, and always made sure we were comfortable. The Riad is located in a very quiet area, and it’s about a 20-minute walk to the city centre. For us, who enjoy walking and discovering places on foot, it was the perfect location. Breakfast was delicious, with traditional bread we were really looking forward to trying. The homemade cake, freshly baked each morning, was amazing. The room was also spotlessly clean, and after a hot day exploring the souks, it was such a treat to come back and cool off in the beautiful pool. We highly recommend Riad ANYSSA — the quality for the price is outstanding.

United KingdomThe breakfast was very tasty, combining traditional Moroccan experience with international pancakes. However, personally I would prefer more nutritious options including fruit and vegetables. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable but it was unusually located right next to the main ground floor foyer, which meant a certain lack of privacy, and we were occasionally disturbed by noise and lighting from the foyer.
Riad Anyssa is a charming place to stay and full of beauty - from the main centrepiece area to the rooftop terrace. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. Ali went above and beyond to ensure we were catered for in every respect. He organised a timely airport pickup, an evening meal on our late arrival, and guided us with our departure to the bus station for our onwards travels. Yassine was very friendly, and made us feel right at home. He shared some valuable local knowledge of the city's must-do attractions. We would highly recommend staying here, particularly if you have never visited Marrakech before and want a comfortable place to stay in a good location in the traditional Kasbar area. This, combined with the complementary "above-and-beyond" nature of the staff, contributed greatly to a wonderful first visit to Marrakech for us.

SwitzerlandThe riad is difficult to reach by car, streets around are narrow and there is no parking available.
The riad is an interesting combination of traditional and modern architecture. After being concerned about the room without window at first, we figured there was plenty daylight from the courtyard.

FranceThe location is a little tricky to find at first but this is due to the location. As long as you keep going down the alleyway, you will be fine. Otherwise nothing to fault.
The location in the busy Kasbah is lovely. Staff are excellent and will do their best to support. Tourist spots in walking difference. Place is safe. The decor is gorgeous. The place has a lovely community feel. Ordered dinner one night for ease, and that was super tasty.

The rooms are really nice. The bed is very comfortable and everything gets cleaned really well. The staff is amazing. Really friendly and good at their job. The location is great. It's a 20 minute walk to the main square. Close to the riad are a lot of shops, local markets and restaurants. The eggs in the morning are great

United KingdomWas not really a problem for me but the curtains do let quite a bit of light through.
It was super clean and quiet and our lovely host Lahc en was always around if we needed anything. The terrace was so nice to eat breakfast on and chill and had a little pool to cool off from the sun. The rooms had beautiful personal bathroom. The riad is super accessible, taxis less than 5 min walk and into the centre about 10-20 mins.

NetherlandsMy room didn’t have any windows, so it was always dark, and I couldn't tell what the weather was like outside. However, I went up to the terrace every morning to check for myself. Another thing about my room was that it was located right next to where breakfast is served and very close to the reception, so you could hear everything. Luckily, the guests during my stay were very quiet, but even so, the noise was still noticeable.
The riad is beautiful and tastefully decorated, with the terrace being an incredible bonus—I absolutely loved it. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. I needed a strong internet connection, but unfortunately, the signal in my room was quite weak. They went above and beyond by moving the modem into my room to ensure I had a reliable connection. The location is peaceful and quiet, making it perfect for rest. While it requires a bit more walking to reach the main attractions, the tranquility of the surroundings makes it well worth it.

PortugalThere was no Wi-Fi in our downstairs room, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the room didn’t have any windows, which made it feel a little more enclosed than I would’ve liked. Even though it is normal in riads as we were told
The location is excellent, just a short distance from the Medina, but be prepared for a bit of chaos around the area. Despite the busy surroundings, the hotel remains a peaceful retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel’s interior is a beautiful blend of modern style with traditional Moroccan details, creating a charming atmosphere. Everything was impeccably clean, which made the stay even more enjoyable. And it is a good value for money!

United KingdomWe. Loved. EVERYTHING !!
Excellent location- nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the centre . Near street Rue de la Kasbah along which was a manageable stroll to the centre- shops and places to eat along the way. Good and easy to aim for landmark nearby for taxi pick up/ drop off was Cafe Clock . Staff were excellent- friendly, attentive hosts- nothing was too much trouble and they were kind and smiley. Food was tasty. Riad was spotless- lovely decor. Bed extremely comfy and shower hot! What more do you need ! All the rooms face each other and have glass doors but are discreetly private with adequate curtains. Shower area open but again not a problem as tucked away around a corner in the bathroom area. No window but not a problem at all- room lovely and cool and there was air con and a heater if needed. Felt like a really safe area and had a good vibe about it. Really was a lovely place to stay and we lucked out finding it !
