How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIn general a very nice and beautifully decorated riad. Overall, we loved the place with close proximity to the souk (maybe a 10 minutes walk). Ben, our contact person, made the stay extremely comfortable and easy, as he was always very helpful and prompt in his responses. Also, he came to welcome us on our arrival, which was late after midnight. Extremely serviceminded and helpful with anything.
The beds were a bit hard though and there were no 'extra' necessities (like shower gel - which was complimentary in another similar riad, we tried). Also only cold water in the showers and some times there was not enough water for everyone (we were 8 adults). We ordered breakfast the first morning, but decided it was not worth it to do it any of the remaining days, as it was good, but not that 'exciting' (no fresh fruit or vegetables e.g.).

Verified reviewThank you Ben, Malika and Bart for making my holiday a joy. The riad is situated in the old medina, a stroll through a typical moroccan vibrant neighborhood. House is close to the souks and close to restaurants, and is at the end of the street. The riad is very spacious and has a beautiful courtyard with a hugh bougainvillea, clean rooms and big terrace upstairs. The transfer we ordered from the airport was good organised and brought us to Ben, the manager, who guided us then to the house. Was a small walk but this is how a remember Marrakesh medina. To recommend
everything is good in the Riad
Thanks a lot for staying with us, hope to see you back in the future. The staff and me would like to thank you! Have a good and safe travel!

Verified reviewThe riad is beautiful
The lighting in the kitchen was very dim The shower space is very small and water splashes out of the bathroom It is situated inside the Medina, difficulty getting luggage to the riad The entrance is very uneven, can easily slip and fall especially with minimal lighting

The location is a bit hard to find, unless you’re really good at direction like my husband 😅

Verified reviewFantastic quiet riad with everything you need. Pool was lovely. Locals were lovely.
The housekeeper was really lovely but would just let herself in without waiting or ringing the bell. Could have been very awkward!

Verified reviewThe tree in the house was the only nice thing.
The entrance of the Riad is horrible. No steps it’s all broken. Very dangerous for older people and children. Horrible stroller access. The road leading to the riad is a 10 min walk with few extremely dark spots. Cars stop 10mins away even food delivery doesn’t come in the road. There is a dog next door that is always barking. Ben the guy that was dealing with us asked for “city tax” per person per night. When I said I am not aware of any tax he said the owner will message me which he never did so I guess that was a scam too. There were NO HAND SOAP any bathroom all empty bottles. No microwave and no heating. The bathrooms have no door and the room doors don’t even close properly. Would not recommend at all.
Dear Mr, I am sorry for you you had such a bad experience in comparison with other guests and other reviews. There are indeed some broken tiles on the street but this is the responsibility of the municipality of Marrakech where we dont have any influence over, we make sure that the house is in prefect condition. In our add its written that if you come by car there is a parking close by, we never claimed you could park in front of the riad, this is a genuine situation for about 80% of the riads in the old medina, because the old city was built before cars were existing. Ben indeed made a mistake( because when its a booking trough airbnb we need to collect the city tax ourselves), he called me for this and I explained him that you made the reservation trough booking.com so was not needed. Guess everyone can make a mistake, had nothing to do with a scam. In the add is no where written there is a microwave, we dont have one because I am against it. You should know that food heated by a microwave is very unhealthy for the body! In the house there is in all the rooms heating, in summer the airconditioning cools the rooms in winter you can put them on heating and in the salon downstairs we even have fireplace with wood present in case you want to make it cosy. About your food delivery guy not sure what we could do that you were satisfied… Then last about the bathrooms, if you look good to the pictures you should have noticed that they are ensuite and you can walk in like this without doors. A still hope you enjoyed Marrakech and have nevertheless also some good experiences.

Verified reviewWe loved how much there was in the Riad. It would comfortably fit eight people with room to move. The large plants in the middle of the ground floor enhanced the environment and experience. There are lots of chill out zones which we loved. Ben (the house manager) was lovely and easy to communicate with.
There were a few issues with the bathrooms where the toilet kept running after flushing and the showers had low pressure and would randomly switch from cold to boiling hot. The shower hose holder was broken in almost every shower and wouldn’t stay up properly. Light bulbs were missing from vital places - ie. bedside nooks and the terrace. The cleaner/housekeeper lingered around the Riad 1-2 hours after check in at the beginning of the stay. On the day of check out which was 11am, she arrived before 9am to start cleaning and was making loud noises and speaking on the phone on loudspeaker. She was not willing to come back later and forced me to move my bags out of my room so she could start cleaning. She also made herself at home, having breakfast and tea on the morning of check out. We felt uncomfortable with her presence. Ben was incredibly apologetic and accessible however he couldn’t fix the issue. We were asked to pay the city tax even though this was included in the accommodation - I believe Ben sorted this out with the owner for us (thanks Ben!)

Verified reviewNear medina (however it’s in the back roads so it’s a lot Of walking as cars can’t really access). It was very clean, no mosquitoes or bugs, very secure as well always felt safe inside (group of 4 girls). Ari conditioning was very good as well
Two showers were faulty with no hot water. No microwave
