Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayI like to eat dinner in my riad, it’s always relaxed and quiet after the bustle of Marrakech in the day. I ordered a Tagine. It was a fresh tagine but sadly pre-prepared and then microwaved!!!! That is a complete no for me. Breakfast was very average, especially for a riad. Disappointing. The riad lacked a ‘home’ feel which is the USP of a riad 🤷🏻♂️
Beautiful and classic riad in an ideal location that was close to everything you need by walking but in a much quieter area than the busy medina. Rooms had a mix of traditional and modern.

Riad itself was a beautiful house. The room was decorated nicely. Spacious bathroom. Hospitality needs improvement. Breakfast was disappointing for the price we paid. Towels were old and not enough provided. Safe not working in our room. No atmosphere. We had stayed in another Riad the week before, and it exceeded all expectations.

BelgiumRiad Asrari is the place to be in Marrakech, well designed, clean rooms, very friendly personnel, especially Khalil, he took care of us so well 😊 The owners, Florence & Nicolas are also very accessible & warm, they made us feel like home. If you’re looking for a well designed, cosy place, don’t hesitate 😊

IrelandThere was no bar or restaurant as advertised on booking.com Also the swimming pool is an unheated plunge pool, not big enough to swim. It is a traditional Riad. Our double room was quiet small and immediately beside the entrance so a bit noisy.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff were excellent, five-star. Owners were helpful and welcoming.

United StatesThe India room was quite "cozy" for 3 people and 3 pieces of carry-on luggage. The neighborhood was quiet but required a 20min walk from the central square which was troubling and less safe late at night. DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE SOUKS after they close (even though google maps guided us this way). Please keep this in mind when booking. We encountered safety issues (attempted mugging from a motorcyclist) but this is NO FAULT of the Riad. But bear in mind that you should NOT be walking from the central square after 9:30pm.
The riad is quite nice -- well decorated with a nice breakfast served on the roof terrace under tent cover which was welcomed during the February chilling morninga. We stayed in the India room with 3 twin beds that had a lovely attached bath. The water was warm for the shower which was very appreciated. The staff were nice and caring when we encountered safety issues in the Medina.

TunisiaThe management is not about hospitality. The guest is the enemy in an hostile environment.. From the beginning I felt as if I did something wrong. Rules, everywhere. To the point that you are not allowed to put towels on the floor of the bathroom! Remote control for the AC only on request at the reception. We couldn't buy a bottle of water at night and had to go to a kiosk close by.
The rooms and the Riat are generally well furnished and nice designed. The location is right in the media and great as well.

United KingdomToo Expensive. Asrari charged a higher room rate than I subsequently paid for a 5 star hotel resort in the modern area of Marrakesh.
Typical Moroccan riad. Small clean basic room. Friendly staff. Limited guest services or amenities. Located in the bustling old town.

United KingdomAccess into the front entrance meant knocking and sometimes waiting, and waiting… but for security reasons, I guess. Independent access, perhaps via a keypad, would be preferred.
Cool and peaceful and attractively decorated, with a lovely sun terrace. Very well located in La Medina, tucked away in a quiet backstreet near the main markets. Great area - touristy but with some authenticity. Breakfast at the Riad is ok but more fun in the markets. Helpful staff.

ThailandThere was a smell from the toilet, despite this, the bathroom was very clean and had a great shower and other facilities.
The terrace space was beautiful and great for relaxing. The room was clean and decorated beautifully. The location was a little further out but still an easy walking distance to the centre. Hosts were great providing us with little lunch packs when we had to leave early for a trip.

United StatesOur room was quite small, folding luggage stands would be an excellent addition so you don’t have to have your suitcase on the floor.
Florence and her husband were wonderful and extremely helpful and gracious. She booked the MOST amazing Hamam experience for us, and chatted with us every morning. The Riad was very small and personable and in a great location. The bathroom was extremely spacious.

United KingdomAn early breakfast on departure day would have been a welcome touch. The beds were quite narrow (but very comfortable). There didn't seem to be wifi here, luckily we had purchased a Moroccan sim card at the airport.
A beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable riad with very friendly staff in a quiet part of the medina and only a 5-10 minute walk from the souks. The beds were very comfortable with quality linen and towels. I really appreciated the detailing of the interiors - mosaic tiled floors, beautiful lighting, cornicing and ceiling mouldings, pictures, embroideries etc - it was rather like staying in a mini palace. It was extremely clean and no sound at night, only the birds singing in the mornings. The bathroom was equally well fitted out and very clean. Breakfast was taken on the terrace served by a very friendly and polite young man who was also on duty at reception out of hours. Florence and her husband were really helpful recommending places to go.
