How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewTraditional. Clean
Have to mind the doors. Got hurt several times due to style of doors. Didn’t have the freedom to make a cup of tea anytime we want. Small rooms.

Verified reviewOur stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful, thanks to the amazing hospitality of Naimma. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home, treating us like family and ensuring we were always comfortable and happy. Even after we checked out, she reached out to check on us, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. We highly recommend staying here when you visited Marrakech.
A big thank you and see you soon

Verified reviewIt is a nice location with many hospitality. They arranged a taxi for us, that took to thr nearest street where we met her. Sightseeing, all major attractions available within 15-30 min. by foot. Naaima prepared a delicious brakfast with tea and coffee every day and dinner for us on the day of arrival (payed for it separately).
A big thank you, looking forward to seeing you again soon

Verified reviewFriendly host and quiet rooms - overall good value for the money. A bit problematic communication as the host only speaks french. Tipical moroccan breakfast, nothing fancy.
Kasbah is probably not the most ideal district of Marrakesh to stay.
Hello... Your comment is unjustified... In Morocco, French is common... We are a family run guesthouse. I don't speak Russian, Italian, Greek, Chinese and we received a lot of customers... There's Google Translate... for the place, the Kasbah is the most requested district by tourists... For breakfast, it is offered with the rental... But hey, everyone has their own opinion

Verified reviewthe place is very stylish, clean, great terrace, location is very good - a quite place inside medina. Tajine was good.
the hosts were at times not very welcoming and patient , especially towards our kids. The breakfast was average, not very healthy, we wished there were more fruits and veggies and less sugar. The ryad is quiet a dark place, no windows, always electric twilight - you can only see the sky and the street from the rooftop terrace . The place was for our family only, however the hosts are always inside , sharing all common space so you only have privacy in the bedrooms, which are quite small for anything except to sleep.
Sir, thank you very much for your unworthy comment... We were very patient for a guest house. But when respect is not made.. It's impossible not to lose patience... Opening of private doors... Deterioration of the rooms... Opening of private fridges to help themselves for free... No problem, we stayed calm and honest

Verified reviewThe best thing about this Riad is that it is impeccably clean. That's it. Please do not expect anything else.
Booking.com mentions that the property has air-conditioning. Forget air-conditioning. The property doesn't even have a fan. Imagine, we had to stay without AC and fan in 35 degrees Celsius. The woman can not speak English, and you feel so helpless as you can not communicate with her any issues that you experience. She told us she can't arrange a fan for us and we can leave the property if we aren't happy. The breakfast is disappointing with no eggs or hot breakfast options. All you get is dips with bread and pastry. The woman is extremely commanding and will keep an eye on what you're doing in the room. It's like staying in an airbnb with someone watching you all the time. There are no locks in the door and no door in the washroom. There are few curtains that are easily see-through. We literally had no privacy. Two rooms except the middle one are extremely small. You'll hurt yourself when going out or coming in. The window opens on your bed, and the door touches your bed. The reviews are misleading. The only good thing about this riad is cleanliness. That's it. Also, she expects payment in Euros and will convert the dirham to euros in higher exchange rate as compared to the ones in the market. She refused to take money at the market rate. I'm totally disappointed.
Hello... We remain very polite... We can tell you more about yourself... Please no longer accept these customers

Verified reviewThe place is cozy and super calm, and there is a nice terrace on top of the house, is also very clean and the beds are comfortable. The price is great for the value, and the rooms are super clean. The location is also great—next to the city center but without all the busy streets that are in it. Without Naaima, the stay would have been much worse. She is one of the best hosts I have ever had, and without any doubt, I would recommend her again. She genuinely wanted to help us in every possible way without asking for anything in return. She is a great cook as well.
Many thanks for your comment... It will be a great pleasure to see you again soon Naaima et Mohamed Darja

Verified reviewNaaima was very nice and hospitable. She prepared a good dinner and breakfast for us. The Riad is close to the city center (about 10-15 minutes walk) and is well decorated.
You need to park your car about 800 m from the riad and walk with your luggage. Finding it in the maze of narrow streets is quite difficult. The bedrooms are small and 1 of the 3 rooms has very uncomfortable beds (but there were only four of us so we just changed rooms).

Verified reviewThe tranquility and cleanliness of the property was flawless. The location was bang on the hassle and bustle, but once you were in the Ryad it was placid. It was spacious and traditional. Loved it. Naaima as a host was very warm and she cooked us a traditional Targin which was like no other. The presentation of the food was exceptional.
Shower needs a little more power.

Verified reviewWe visited for just 1 night on our way back from the Atlas Mountains. The hosts (a couple) were very welcoming and the property was very spacious. It was very clean and had a lovely roof terrace. Compared to other riads we have stayed at the price is so cheap! The value for money was many times better than anywhere else around. The riad was located close to the centre of Marrakech, right on the edge of the medina (very easy to get taxis etc to airport/further away places). The couple made us dinner for a small extra cost and it was amazing! The breakfast was also very good. They also were there to help us with anything we needed and even gave some first aid for some blisters we picked up. They communicated with us well in advance of the booking in case we needed anything else. If I ever visit Marrakech again or know anyone visiting, I only have 1 place to recommend and it's here
Nothing really, although booking.com doesn't make it super clear about the 50% payment in advance being done directly to the hosts. Obviously not the fault of the property, and is the same in many other places.
A very big thank you for this very precise comment... It will be a great pleasure to welcome you again

Verified reviewGreat location in the quiet area of Kasbah. The Ryad was very clean and quiet. The hosts were welcoming and served us tea and snacks on the terrace when we arrived. We also had a lovely dinner on the first night prepared on request. The WiFi was really good and the rooms were comfortable. Overall my friends and I had a great stay. I definitely recommend.

Verified reviewMohamed and Nahima are the most kind people who run this Ryad. Nahima cooked a dinner for us on one of the evenings and it was one of the best Moroccan meals we had. both Mohammed and Nahima gave us a lot of tips about Marrakesh and our onward drive. the place is quiet and calm. far away from the buzz of Marrakesh streets.
the place is not close to the main Street so it requires a bit of walking and there is no way of getting near it by car. there were plenty of people on the street who helped us with our luggage and parking our car for a small tip.
