How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified review- the owner was extremly nice and friendly - the breakfast was traditional - well working AC
- small and dark streets lead to the Riad, which was okay für me, but might be not so nice for women who travel alone.

Verified reviewSuch an incredibly warm and friendly welcome - our host made us feel as though his beautiful home was our home for a few days - what a privilege! We had a very comfortable room, and thoroughly.enjoyed returning back after a long day's sight seeing to great showers and very effective air conditioning - really appreciated in the hot temperatures at this time of year. A special mention, too, of the delicious and varied breakfasts each morming - a real treat and very generous. Sayeed was truly hospitable in every sense, and was genuinely interested in helping us navigate and enjoy our stay. Rabat is a fascinating city - we would love to return one day, and would most definitely.book at Riad Ba Brahim again - heartfelt thanks, Sayeed!.
It's hard to be negative about such a unique place - but perhaps those who are more used to pristine environments might find the cleanliness ( or lack thereof) of the streets etc. off putting. We noticed many stray street cats, some of which were in sadly pitiful condtion - as an animal lover, that was difficult to experience.

Verified reviewGood location, clean and they did a good job catering for my gluten allergy. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
It doesn’t have much character for the location. My room had a musty smell as reported by others. It’s a bit loud coming off the street at night.

Verified reviewI stayed at this riad in Rabat with my wife and we really liked it. It was the best place we stayed during our trip to Morocco. The manager was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the whole staff made us feel very comfortable. The riad has a beautiful Moroccan style, and everything was very clean and well kept. Our room was spacious, bright, and perfectly clean. All the facilities were in great condition. The location is also perfect - right in the centre, close to everything we needed. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Great location, very clean rooms, and excellent service. We would definitely recommend this riad to anyone visiting Rabat.

Verified reviewThe riad was ideally located in the medina - close to the souk, plenty of casual restaurants, and points of interest. Our host Said was lovely and welcoming, and extremely helpful when it came to suggesting spots to visit, or letting us know taxi rates. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, and made a great start to each day!

Verified reviewThe Riad was beautiful and kept so clean! The pictures don’t do it justice. The owner Said was so warm and welcoming! He made us a delicious mint tea when we arrived and sat and chatted with us for a while, telling us all the sites we could go see. The location was great! In the Medina so close to the markets but also only a few minutes from outside the Medina so an easy walk to the Riad after getting dropped off. We had to leave early on our last day and Said still made sure we had breakfast before we left! Would recommend this place and would stay again.
The shower drain did not drain well but a minor issue when everything else was so great!

Verified reviewThe property is a traditional Moroccan Riad, recently renovated. It’s beautifully decorated and pristinely clean. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was tasty and very adequate with super coffee. The owners were very friendly and informative, couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. On the rooftop is a relaxing area with table and chairs, great for watching the sunset. I would highly recommend.

Verified reviewThis riad is easy to find and the hosts were super kind and helpful. If compared to other riads we stayed at in our cities in Morocco, its interior is older and the rooms were a little bit less stylish, but the room looked clean and breakfast was good. All in all, I recommend this riad and it has excellent price for value. We noticed that one of the guests were in need of help and the hosts were increasingly thoughtful and helpful: you’ll have a good feeling during your stay there.
