Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe would have liked a mini fridge in the room for keeping our bottled water cold. The single AC unit at the extreme end of the room did not do a great job of keeping the bedroom cool. The safe was not properly installed so did not provide a secure place to leave belongings.
The owner was fantastic, organizing a taxi for both our arrival and departure. She also sat down when we arrived and gave us some tips for visiting Marrakesh. The food prepared on site was excellent. We were happy to be staying in the Medina. The room was extremely clean and well appointed.

Romania-
We had a wonderful stay at this property! The accommodation was impeccable – everything looked brand new, yet it still preserved the charm of the traditional style, which we truly appreciated. The place was spotless, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. We were greeted with a refreshing mint tea upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. They also gave us helpful information about the city, which made our visit even more enjoyable. What really stood out was the extra effort they put into our comfort – knowing we had an early check-out, they prepared breakfast for us in advance, which we were very grateful for. Highly recommend this place – we would definitely stay here again!

United StatesI have bad knees, so stairs were hard. Breakfasts minimal; bread/rolls were a bit hard.
The Riad was fairly quiet, even tho in the Medina; it was tucked away. Privacy was nice; it felt secure.m

PolandVery good breakfast, all home made and fresh. Hotel with attention to details, and very good service, clean and high quality materials (for example bathroom plaster walls, faucets etc.). Was open year ago, so it is old but clean.

Beautiful property and perfect for our first time visiting Marrakesh. We couldn’t decide on where to stay and I’m so glad we came across this Riad. The hospitality was amazing and all of the staff made us feel extremely welcome and kept us well looked after. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and every question we had throughout our stay regarding other locations or restaurants we had chosen were answered to their best effort. I would definitely recommend this Riad if choosing to stay in the Medina. It is a perfect location and easy to navigate once you arrive.

FranceThe only 'bémol' is that there is no window in the room, but I suppose this is typical for riads. On the plus side, it provides absolute tranquility.
A nice, cozy, beautifully decorated riad in the centre of La Medina. Perfectly located in a very quite impasse. The staff was absolutely magnifique, Khadija was a true gem <3

Beautifully decorated and modern riad in central medina. Very relaxing and lovely, attentive staff. We had a great time and I even received a bag with luxury toiletries for my birthday. Daily housekeeping, fresh breakfast and mint tea all day long. We also loved the massages. Totally recommend!

Everything! We moved from a Riad that was booked with Tui which they rated as 5 star (it definitely wasn’t!!). This Riad was like a breath of fresh air. Clean, modern yet still traditional, excellent staff and comfortable rooms. It was in a great location quite near the main square.

We had an amazing 3 nights at Riad Bab Aljana. Staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable and clean. We had breakfast each morning which was lovely, fruit, eggs, local breads and nice strong coffee! The medina and souks are hectic so it was nice to come into the calmness of the Riad. Location is ideal, very near the souks and main square. We would highly recommend this riad and hopefully will come back again.

United StatesI felt bad that there wasn’t a way for us to get in the property on our own and had to bother the owners each time we wanted to come in.
The property owners were super friendly from the moment we arrived, they were very accommodating and the breakfast and mint tea provider were great! The location was super close to the market and very convenient for our short stay.

United StatesWe booked Riad Bab Aljana for 4 nights and were incredibly happy with our stay! The owner and staff were so kind and helpful (and spoke perfect English and French 😉). They gave great recommendations and helpful safety tips, all while having a great conversation. Breakfast ended up being one of our favorites times of the day with their perfect spread and serene courtyard. They also went above and beyond whenever they were able to — they booked us transportation and even mailed out a postcard for us! Plus points for gorgeous interiors and finishes (the riad is newly open for business). Pro Tip: Take their transportation offer (to/from hotel) — soooo much better than dealing with taxis and potential scams.
