How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay in this very beautiful and cozy riad. By arrival we got maroccan tea and sweets, while wait for the room. Check in and check out was fast. Wifi works great. There are two lovely indoor pools with refreshing cold water— one deeper, and one perfect for kids: my 6-year-old daughter could stand in it easily. The rooms are just gorgeous, with stunning Moroccan-style interiors. Very quite in the night, even it situated in the heart of Medina. Everything is peaceful, calm music plays softly, and every detail is well thought out. The breakfast was generous and tasty, real moroccan style. The staff are kind, polite, and always smiling. We truly enjoyed our time here!
There are few things that made our short stay a bit difficult. When we came back from a walk, we had to wait outside the riad for about 10 minutes — ringing the bell, calling, and knocking — but no one answered. I was with my small child who urgently needed the toilet. We were later told it was during a staff shift change, but as guests, that shouldn’t have affected us — my daughter was really distressed by the wait. Also, we had arranged for an early breakfast at 7:30 instead of 8:00, as we had to leave for the airport. But at 7:30 nothing was ready, and we had to wait another 15 minutes. That left us only a few minutes to eat before we had to rush out. Finally, since the riad is located in the Medina and we had a car, we couldn’t drive close to the entrance. The nearest parking was about a 15-minute walk away with child, and in 50°C heat with a small child and heavy luggage, it was very tough. I didn’t see any notice in advance that the riad wasn’t accessible by car, which would have been helpful to know as first-time visitors to Marrakech.

Verified reviewBreakfast was almost the same every day, but it was really tasty. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily without any issues such as WiFi problems, water outages, or AC malfunctions. There was a beautiful view from the patio, which was located on the rooftop and had plenty of seating and loungers for relaxing.
The only downside was that the area around the relaxing pools was sometimes a bit dirty with hair on the ground. Nothing terrible, but it was the only thing we noticed that could be improved. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Verified reviewWe very much enjoyed the Riad Bab Nour for a variety of reasons. One, the staff arranged for our transport and portage to and from the airport which was extremely helpful for us. Second, the riad is situated is close to the square and restaurants and it is within the medina itself. There there was much to see and do within easy reach. Third, the staff was extremely accommodating and addressed all of our needs. Breakfast was served every morning on the peaceful and comfortable rooftop, and the food was ample, delicious, enjoyed by our family of 6 of all ages.' There are two dipping pools on the first floor which were great for winding-down and lowering body temperature after a day in the busy medina and the amazingly chaotic square at night.
We liked everything!

Verified reviewI stayed 7 nights at Riad Bab Nour and it became my little cosy home during those days in Marrakech! It was very nice, very clean, liked my room which had a little terrace of its own. Bed was very comfy, I slept really well. Room had an AC for those hot days in Marrakesh, so it was just perfect. The staff was so lovely, nice and caring, I couldn't haved wished for more. They also helped me organize some trips and made sure I had a nice breakfast even when I had to leave early for those tours. It's very central, but inside the Riad it's totally calm. It has a lovely roof top terrace where I enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the mornings and some mint tea as well as some reading and relaxing time in the evenings before heading again to the nearby souks. Would definitely book again and totally recommend, especially as a solo traveller.

Verified reviewMy husband and I stayed for three nights in May 2025 with our 3 year old child. We had a beautiful room on the 3rd floor with a king bedroom and separate twin beds. The Riad was updated with good wifi and nice bathrooms, we even used the little pools in the common area. The breakfast each day was amazing and they were very friendly. We forgot our iPad when we checked out and realized at the airport, they immediately contacted us and drove it to the airport - above and beyond what I would expect. Great value for money, 2 minutes off of the main Jama square, quiet because it is a bit down an alley but not far enough that we did not feel safe.
Riads are very open concept and while it was a great unique experience for our family, probably not as suitable for many kids or louder families. There are many narrow stair wells and you cannot get a car to the door of the riad, something to consider if you have mobility challenges or a lot of luggage. There are people you can pay to help with luggage of course.

Verified reviewIncredibly tranquil and very pretty riad situated a several yards down an alleyway immediately off the hub of the main souk but close enough not to worry about any safety issues when leaving the Main Street. You cannot believe you are seconds away from the hustle and bustle as it’s so peaceful inside. We have visited Marrakesh before and stayed a little central but this riad is perfectly situated if you are shopping and want to take your heavy purchases back throughout the day. Staff were always friendly, polite and happy to help with any request. The breakfast is traditional and is really lovely to be served on the rooftop when cooler. We asked for them to arrange a transfer to the airport which was a little more than you could arrange yourself from the street but they helped with our luggage and arranged for a private car which was very welcomed when faced with the chaos of trying to muddle through the busy streets, in the heat and with heavy luggage.

Verified reviewStaff extremely friendly and helpful. Traditional Moroccan breakfast made me want to get up in the morning.
The narrow street where the riad is located made me a little nervous after dark particularly as a solo traveller. Having said that I did not have any bad experiences.

Verified reviewStaff were brilliant couldn't have been more helpful. Good varied breakfast served either on the terrace or within the riad. Only a few steps from the souks.
Bar area not utilised as it could have been, for example mock cocktails on the terrace as the sunset would have been lovely. Our bedroom suffered with a little street noise, but that was to be expected so close to the souks.

Verified reviewThe staff were so accommodating. When I came down with horrific food poisoning, they pushed my checkout time as late as possible and then let me stay in the lobby until it was time to go to the airport. They then carried my bags 15 minutes to the taxi. I don't know what I would've done without their kind support. Thank you Brahim!
Rooms aren't fully soundproof, but that's common to all of the riads
