Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only one thing is about tourist tax..we didn't know about it till the end that we have to pay it.. but I guess they are just following the moroccan law, but I think the host should mention that to the guest in the beginning..
I like the place.. comfortable, quiet, and great breakfast. The staff were lovely too.. very friendly cleaner , they always clean our room daily. Mustafa is a great host, too, as he makes sure that we are ok till the end of our stay. Met the owner once, and she seems to be lovely, too, as she told us where we can go around the city.

United KingdomGreat riad in the heart of the city but still really quiet. We had a comfy night and an amazing breakfast on the terrace. Mahmud looked after us so well – super friendly and always on point. Felt totally taken care of.

SpainThe staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great, we were able to enjoy it on the roof terrace some mornings. The room was cozy but very clean and with good air con. The location of the road was good and there were plenty of shops and food places nearby. *Not related to the Riad* - The hammam Les Bains d'Azahara located at the entrance to the street of the Riad is definitely worth a visit.

SpainOur five-day stay at Riad Bab Tilila allowed us to enjoy a truly Moroccan adventure. Rita's breakfasts were spectacular, as was her friendliness. Moustafa was so attentive and always willing to help with anything that might arise. Madame Marieme and her team made us feel part of their home, and their commitment to making us feel at home was evident. Thank you for hosting us so warmly. We will be back!.

It felt so homely, everything was in place to make us feel at home. The way we were asked what time would we like our breakfast next day just felt like staying at the family’s. I traveled with little twins, we were welcomed warmly and very well looked after. Also the details the Road has, including naming the rooms made it feel warm. Moustafa was very helpful, always. Ghita is a very kind lady who makes very delicious Tajine, a must try one. And finally Marieme welcomed us next morning with a big smile and was so helpful with booking a day trip to Atlas Mountains

The place is quiet but only 5 minutes from the old medina. Our host, Mustapha, was very kind and helped us get taxis anytime we needed. He also made us breakfast early in the morning (5:30 am) before we went to the airport. Thank you!

United KingdomThe Riad gives an authentic Moroccan experience with its interieur and hospitality. We think it needs some refurbishment to give a more fresh look (walls need repainting, AC is too loud to use, flat TV is small and placed on the wall too high, carpets are worn out, etc.). We are told this is scheduled for August. This should make the stay much more pleasant and more worth for its price.
Breakfast was excellent and made slightly differently every morning. Mustapha prepared it for us for 5.40am on the last day when we had to leave early! Location is excellent, easy walk to all sightseeing places.

United KingdomOur room would need some TLC as it was more shabby than chic in the details.
This is a traditional house, that’s retained an authentic character. It has been owned by the same family for generations. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff starting with Marieme, the owner, who was truly enchanting and gave us a warm welcome and Mustafa is a dedicated young man always ready to help. We ordered a dinner which was absolutely divine: the best tajine of our stay! You cannot fault the location walking distance to all the major POI and we loved the area! Great value for money!

BulgariaIf you're looking for a peaceful and authentic experience in the heart of Marrakech, Riad Bab Tilila is a fantastic choice. This charming riad offers a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan architecture and warm hospitality, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms are beautifully decorated with local touches—colorful tiles, intricate woodwork, and comfortable furnishings. Each room is immaculately clean, cozy, and quiet, providing a restful escape after a busy day exploring the medina. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom are available, making the stay very comfortable. One of the highlights of Riad Bab Tilila is the rooftop terrace. It's a peaceful oasis where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or relax with mint tea in the evening while admiring the city views. The breakfast itself is delicious, featuring fresh pastries, fruits, coffee, and traditional Moroccan specialties. The service is exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything—from arranging airport transfers to suggesting hidden gems around Marrakech. Their genuine care for guests really sets this riad apart. Location-wise, Riad Bab Tilila is ideal. It's within walking distance to major attractions like Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, Koutoubia Mosque, and the souks, yet it’s tucked away just enough to offer a quiet, restful atmosphere.

AustraliaAll fabulous
Lots of old world charm, had a ground floor room which was excellent as we are an older age bracket, fabulous location, good was exceptional, ate dinner there twice which was better than anywhere we ate at outside the riad. Mustafa was fantastic, attentive, also the female staff member who cleaned the rooms and cooked the amazing food was so lovely, so much attention to service, even our breakfast table was strewn with rose petals

AustriaThe bed frame felt like it was about to collapse. The water in the bathroom was too salty so I had to skip bath. The wifi was a bit too slow probably because I was in the top floor room.
The place is not from the city centre which was nice. The breakfast was excellent. The host welcomed us with sweets and tea which was a kind gesture.

RomaniaThere was nothing not to like.
Hey there! I don't usually leave a lot of reviews but this time, it's really a must. 😁 First time in Marrakech for us. When we arrived at the Riad from the airport we were greeted by Mustafa, who is an excellent with great hot mint tea, fresh sweets and a warm smile. Little did we know that this was only the beginning of something great. We stayed at Riad Bab Tilila for about 3 days and we really felt like we have a family here. A home dressed as a Riad that radiated that true feeling and vibes of Marrakech and Morocco. Great nice rooms, very hot water all the time, good WiFi (I used it to work at night on my notebook), birds beautifully chirping in the morning, EXCELLENT daily breakfast served just in time, good terrace views at night and in the morning, and a great show of colours (check my attached photos) The Riad is very close to the souks, the centre of the Medina. Thank you, dear Mustafa, for taking good care of us and for being an excellent host. This is a MUST stay if you want THE true Marrakech and moroccan experience.

A great find 10 minutes walk from the main square. The staff were fantastic, Mariame in communication before we arrived and organising all the trips we requested. Mustafa was a boon, attentive and funny. We ate dinner in the riad a few times and the food was super, much better than the restaurants we tried. Breakfast was great and everything was very healthy. Great value for money and would highly recommend.
