I only had one night at Riad Babette, but would have stayed longer if I could. The Riad was in a great location in the heart of the Essaouira Medina. My room was charming, on the top floor opening directly onto the terrace. Breakfast was also lovely. Mohammed was extremely welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend to other travellers and would return if I am ever in Essaouira again

The building is clean, beautiful, and organized. The bed and pillows are comfortable; they truly care about providing a great stay. But the most important thing about this stay was the staff. I can say I've never been so warmly welcomed anywhere else. And that means having kind, caring people who greet you every day with a beautiful smile and a willingness to help. That's why I want to highlight the names of each person who gave us a 5-star rating: Said, who greeted us at reception on the first day and was very kind, and Mohammed and Safia, who were very kind throughout our stay. I can't forget to mention Safia's delicious freshly baked bread for breakfast and the herbal tea made by Mohammed. Thank you so much.

Our one night stay at Babette was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The staff, Safia and Mouhamed greeted us with a warm smile. Our room was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended!

Lovely traditional riad with great roof terrace, and in a great location in the medina. Thank you to Saed and his whole family for the hospitality. And fabulous breakfasts!

The staff, Mohamed and Safia, not only were incredibly helpful and kind, but also very sweet can caring hosts. They knew it was my birthday and made me not only one, but two surprises, including a birthday cake. One of the best staff Ive met :)

Loved the location, very easy to go everywhere (its a small town, but really liked that all the good restaurants are just around the block.) Riad Babette is beautifully decorated, very clean , has AC (which you really don’t need even in July). We stayed at the twin room with window facing the alley to the street. We loved it. There is some noise from the street and seagulls, but this is probably the same for every accommodations inside the medina. At least you would have the option to close the window and on with the AC. Mohamed is amazing, always smiling and very helpful. We stayed for 4 nights. Breakfast was different everyday. Good coffee, fresh orange juice and mint tea is stable.

The drainage at the shower can use a bit of improvement. Water seems to pool in one corner.

A perfect stay in the heart of Essaouira I can't recommend this riad highly enough. Tucked away in the medina yet peaceful and calm, it offered the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and authentic Moroccan hospitality. Every detail was thoughtfully designed — from the beautifully decorated rooms to the rooftop terrace with stunning views of the sea and city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. We felt not like guests, but like part of a family. Breakfast each morning was a highlight: fresh fruit, warm msemen, homemade jams, and mint tea served with a smile. The location is ideal — a short walk to the beach, the port, the souks, and all the best restaurants and cafés. Yet once inside the riad, it feels like a tranquil oasis away from the bustle. We’ve stayed in many places across Morocco, but this riad truly stands out for its atmosphere, warmth, and attention to detail. We’ll definitely be back.

The riad was in a fantastic location in the Medina but still close to an easy taxi point, had all we needed, comfortable beds and was exceptionally clean (and rooms cleaned every day). The breakfast was amazing! It felt like a really authentic Moroccan experience and the riad felt like home. We were greeted with delicious mint tea on arrival and had many more cups in our stay. The team were so attentive and helpful for our many requests. I would recommend Riad Babette to anyone visiting Essaouira and hope to stay again in the future!

We really loved the home feel that you provided and the location was perfect for getting around on foot. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were beyond helpful.

Mohamed and Safia were amazing hosts. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and they couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We used google translate to communicate, and it worked well. The rooftop had a beautiful view. We felt like we were leaving family and hope to be able to see them again. Thank you ❤️

Charming, quiet riad in the middle of the old city. We had an excellent time thanks to Mohamed and Safia, who took great care of us and gave us the most wonderful breakfasts on the rooftop. The riad is tastefully decorated and clean. Communication with the manager Said was swift, we were kindly offered an upgraded accommodation and they also arranged a very good transfer for us. Highly recommended.

Mouhamed and the other staff are very welcoming hosts and are able to help with any request you have! The riad was pristinely clean and in a great location to explore Essaouira. The breakfast served every morning on the roof terrace was delicious and fresh. We were even left a lovely surprise in our room to celebrate our anniversary!

An amazing riad in the centre of the Medina, surrounded by all kinds of shops, coffee spots, and restaurants. The room was very cosy and clean. Breakfast was lovely and made me happy every morning – a perfect way to start the day! I also loved the views from the terrace, where I had my breakfast every day. The people behind it all were incredibly attentive and helpful – they were the best part of the stay.

really enjoyed our four night stay at this riad. Mohamed was a wonderful host, always a welcoming smile. Breakfast was very nice and varied each day. All in all would recommend the riad for location, friendliness and yummy breakfast.

What a special place! Mohamed & Sofia are wonderful hosts, always welcomed us with a smile. The Riad is perfectly located within the Medina. The room was nice and the bed super comfortable. We loved the Morrocan breakfast at the rooftop terrace. 100% recommendation!
