How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe Riad is a wonderful place to stay, very central and convenient for so many attractions. Only a short walking distance to the main square. The staff were all very helpful and would do anything for you.
There was nothing I didn’t like about this Riad. It is not a luxury hotel, but is full of character and provides excellent value for money.

Coming during the night and navigating through streeta felt off. We also weren't sure if tbe room we got was for a whole stay or just rest of the first night.

Verified reviewWe had amazing stay here for our first time in Marrakech. The staff are so friendly, attentive and welcoming. Each morning we had breakfast, a selection of Moroccan breads, jam, honey, marmalade and a cake (cakes and savoury pastries changed each day) as well as tea and coffee. Our rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets without even asking, the rooms are very pretty and reflect Moroccan culture and art and the riad as a whole is stunning. There is also access to a rooftop terrace if you want to relax, have a smoke or enjoy the sun. We were given clear directions and brochures for the medina and popular attractions and the staff answered all our questions, even offering to call and book restaurants for us if we needed. If you speak/understand French, English or any form or Arabic the staff can communicate in all 3. Great experience overall and would recommend booking as I believe it’s a very popular riad.

Verified reviewThe people at the hotel where super friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile and lovely to talk to. the quality breakfast that they served was amazing which was accompanied with a lovely Moroccan tea. the room itself was gorgeous, super cute with a lot of detail and the location is right in the medina, couldnt be better.
the bed is quite hard, its something that was a general thing in Morocco since we also stayed in different locations. but nothing too bad.

Verified reviewWhen I showed up, she sat me down to let me know that the room I was to have someone staying there was sick so she will find me somewhere else. However, still at the same cost and the place she found me was not at all Riad. I had no choice since everything was booked
Hello Dear Cliente Sarah . Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your stay at our Riad did not proceed as initially planned. Upon your arrival on March sixteenth, we understood that it was not possible for you to remain with us for the full four nights. Although the situation was beyond our control, we did our utmost to assist you by proposing two alternative accommodations nearby. You personally selected the Riad located just three minutes away, [Maison Du Tresor], where you stayed for the rest of your visit. As a gesture of goodwill, we covered the city taxes for the entire four nights, and we also a free offered you an excursion camel tour forty euros. Throughout your stay, we checked in several times to ensure your comfort, and you confirmed that everything was going well. We were therefore quite surprised and disappointed to read your negative review. That said, we fully respect your opinion and remain available should you wish to discuss your experience further. Despite this situation, we would be delighted to welcome you again in the future. We will do our very best to ensure that your next stay is entirely satisfactory, with memorable moments and the high quality of service we are known for. Kind regards, [Ms Siham] [Assistant Manager] [Riad Bleu Du Sud ]

Verified reviewThe property was very aesthetic and great for a couple to live in. Very central. You can’t get in directly through taxi but they drop you off at the nearby carpark and it’s a 4 minute walk to the riad. Breakfast is always very filling. The staff is very welcoming and hospitable. The lady would give an introduction about the property and Marrakech and offer Marrakech mint tea. They have towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided.
The room we had lacked lighting and the shower head has a small crack, but we were still able to have a good shower.

Verified reviewThis riad is wonderful, we felt like we were in 1001 Nights! The decoration is absolutely charming and in our room and bathroom there were even rose petals. The staff is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast is also very good.
There are no fruits at the breakfast, but I understand it is Moroccan style. And about the location, the riad is a little bit hidden and to get there you need to walk through alleys with earthquake ruins.

Verified reviewThe location is 10/10 The staff excellent . Special mention of Azdin & Huda. The breakfast was also very good .
I booked a room which apparently happened to be the only room on the terrace ! That room has no ambience. They should not be giving out that room at all and if they are then it should be at half the price . I saw the other rooms later and they were very good and it was for just 5-10 euros more.

Verified reviewAbsolutely everything about this place is authentic and breathtaking. From the moment you arrive, you feel the warmth and charm of a truly special experience. The cleanliness is impeccable, every detail is carefully maintained, and the location is simply perfect—close to everything yet peaceful and inviting. The breakfast is a true delight—diverse, fresh, and incredibly delicious, offering something for every taste. But what truly makes this place stand out is the exceptional hospitality. I must especially commend Azzddine, a kind and beautiful soul who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and cared for. Our stay here was an experience to cherish. I can’t recommend it enough!
