The location was perfect, right next to the Medina. Abdel took amazing care of us and regularly checked in via WhatsApp to make sure we were doing well and hadn’t gotten lost, which made us feel very welcome and supported. The food was good and we enjoyed our meals there. The rooms were cleaned daily, and while you might notice a few little imperfections, that’s part of the authentic charm of a Riad in Marrakech – it’s not a luxury hotel, but for what it is, it’s truly great. The Riad itself is beautiful, full of light, with lovely traditional details and even more charming in person than in the photos. Overall, we felt very well looked after and had a wonderful stay.

Our only feedback would be that the air-conditioning in the room be directed towards the bed as we felt extremely hot on the days that we stayed there due to the air conditioning blowing the other way. Abdel helped us with this too as a table fan made a huge difference to the comfort level and we were no longer awake for long hours sweating.

Our host Abdel was definitely the highlight of our stay at Chez Henriette! He recommended great places to try out local food but also went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and were not left wanting for anything. From waiting for us to check in the early hours of the morning to helping us get into the hotel when the key wouldnt work at 11pm, he was extremely accomodating and helpful. The breakfast served was also delicious and we could have had it for every meal. The location was great as it was a short walk to the main square and attractions but also less than a 30 min drive from the airport.. The only difficulty is if you are travelling with large suitcases, navigating the cobbled streets of the Medina looking for a taxi can be a little difficult but even this was made far easier thanks to Abdel's clear directions! If you need to use a taxi, the access by car is not that easy meaning you will always end up paying a little extra. Better to walk if possible and grab a taxi somewhere else. This was not a big problem for us as we mainly walked but worth considering if you have mobility problems. The way to the riad is a bit shady at night as it's not well lit but we had no troubles. During our stay, there were electricity problems outside of the riad's control (external source) that meant the electricity was going out every 5 minutes and with it, the WiFi and AC (which beeps loudly each time the electricity comes back). We believe there were ways to mitigate this (battery powered light sources, power outage prevention plugs for the WiFi router) but not much was done even though the situation stretched for at least 3 days. Even though it was not the riad's fault entirely, it still affected the quality of our rest and thus our ability to enjoy our stay to the fullest. If you get loud insensitive guests staying at the same time as you (as we did), it's going to be occasionally loud inside your room as well, especially if you are staying on the bottom floor next to the breakfast areas. I recommend taking earplugs. Also having warnings about keeping it low while inside the riad should help.

The riad is very well located if you intend to do everything on foot. It was clean, the facilities were good. The staff is friendly and attentive and always ready to help out planning your day.

Honestly, we enjoyed everything. If we had to mention one small downside, it would be the pillow: it was a bit too high and firm for our taste.

We had such a great time here! Our room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and the breakfast was delicious. Also, the staff was absolutely lovely. We had the best stay at Chez Henriette! The team were incredibly friendly and beyond helpful. It was a beautiful riad in the heart of Marrakesh, perfect distance from so many places. Breakfast was fabulous and the place was really clean, with great showers. The rooftop was a sun trap and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the souks. We recommend highly! Sound isolation at the riad is a bit poor but this was no problem for us.

We had a great experience in this Riad. Everything was super starting from location to offered services. It's very quiet but at the same time really close to the buzzing central square. A typical Moroccan breakfast was served every morning and we could enjoy a cup of tea upon our arrival. But the real stars of our stay were Moussa and Abdel who made our stay truly unforgettable. They were so friendly and kind to us that it made us feel at home. We will never forget their kindness and hospitality!

Staying at Riad Chez Henriette was a truly wonderful experience, made even more special thanks to the incredible kindness and availability of Moussa and Abdel. From the very first moment, they made us feel completely at ease — we arrived late at night around 11 PM, and despite the hour, they welcomed us with water, food, and warm milk. Throughout our stay, they guided us around the city, offering tips and recommendations on what to do, what to avoid, and how to move and behave within the Medina. When they found out we wanted to get henna, they recommended someone they trusted and even arranged for her to come directly to the riad. One morning, we had to leave very early, and they kindly brought breakfast to our room at 7 AM — an hour and a half before the usual breakfast time. They also moved us to an even more beautiful room as soon as it became available. I could give a thousand more examples of their kindness. This is a highly recommended experience for anyone who wants to experience Morocco in the most authentic, home-like way. The riad is also in a super central and convenient location, and they offer transfer services for getting around. The cherry on top: on our last day, Moussa and Abdel invited us to have a truly local experience by joining Abdel’s family for lunch at their home — an unforgettable moment that we will always carry in our hearts.

The riad henriette met all our expectations and more. Small riad and less than 10min walk to the medina. Breakfast was lovely and fresh every day. What made the stay special was the staff they went above and beyond. If we return to marakesh we would book again.

Was a bit cold at night which we didn't expect.

The breakfast was so lovely, homemade msemmen and various dips with fruits as well. Abdel and Moussa were genuinely so accommodating, kind and friendly - they made the stay lovely. The bed was comfy. The rooms had mood lighting which would be lovely for a couple but we struggled with being able to see very much! It was a few minutes walk away from the souks and close to most sights which was great for us as we didn't have to bother with taxis. Would recommend!

Great quiet location, yet close to all areas of Marrakesh. The riad itself was as described in a traditional Moroccan decor and the service from Moussa, Abdil and the team was great, friendly helpful advice and always interested in how our stay was going, couldn’t recommend enough and would def. Recommend if you’re considering a stay. Great roof terrace which was great for relaxing and catching a few rays. The lovely mixed breakfast everyday was a great way to set you up for your trips and saves a load of time. We used their transfer service as well which was great and took you from airport to door quickly and on time, saving hunting around in the dark on a late night arrival.

Excellent service from Moussa and the team. We received mint tea and biscuits on arrival and were able to leave our bags before and after check-in/check out. The décor and facilities are beautiful and the room was spacious. There was an extra blanket to use. Pillows and the bed were comfy. Breakfast was also lovely. It wasn't very soundproof but that wasn't too much of a problem as everyone was quiet. Be careful as the water in the shower can get really hot. There is a lovely terrace, but we didn't get a chance to use it. We were also able to book a Hammam and massage through the team at a nearby Riad. Overall a great stay and would come again!

I think the breakfast is fine for a free breakfast but nothing special. Keep in mind that they do not have eggs every day, though they seem to accommodate special requests. However, in all my experiences of hotel breakfasts, it is definitely on the better side!

Moussad and Abdul are wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond to make sure that their guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. They are some of the best hosts I have ever head at a hotel/airbnb/etc. If it is your first time traveling to Morocco, this can make a big difference. I recommend that you coordinate as much as possible with the riad, especially the transfer to/from the airport. The riad is cozy and well located. The facilities were all in great condition. The WiFi is spotty sometimes, but overall worked great and they were quick to reset if there was an issue. If others have complaints about the facilities -- just remember you're in Morocco and enjoy the adventure! We stayed on the second floor; I recommend paying a little extra to stay on the second floor, I think it can make a difference. The riad is on a side street; it's safe during the day, but like all locations in Marrakech, I would be careful not to walk around too late. They keep everything very clean.
