Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceBreakfast only starts at 8:30am and there is no flexibilty about that. Note that if you have booked excursions out of Marrakech these start earlier so you will miss breakfast on those days. The room was a bit smaller than expected for a superior double room. Breakfast was not as varied as you can usually get in hotel. There was always one new dish everyday (e.g., moroccan pancakes) but the rest was a bit repetitive cream cheese, marmelade honey and coffee. The quantity of breakfast was normal but not exceptional.
Personnel was super polite, professional and helpful. The place was also well kept and well decorated. We had some hiccups before our arrival but in the end all turned out well after communicating with the personnel. Good location, a bit out of the medina so a bit more quiet than other areas in Marrakech. The rooms were cleaned every day.

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed at Riad Clefs d'Orient. Mouad sat us down in the central courtyard by the pool/fountain with a pot of delicious fresh mint tea and talked us through all the places we should visit, the best routes to get there and recommended lots of great places to eat in the surrounding area. Anytime we had questions the team were on hand to help, including booking our return transfer to the airport. A special mention also needs to be made for the non-human team, the riad's adorable and very friendly cats! The riad is situated in the Kasbah area of Marrakech, which we found to be the perfect area for us. It is within easy walking distance to the majority of the must see tourist sites and souks, but also outside the main heart of the medina which can be overwhelming for some. The Kasbah area is a lot quieter, more relaxed and we felt very safe walking around at night. The riad is also only 5 mins walk from Tinsmith Square which is full of nice cafes and coffee shops. The room we were in was perfect for a couple and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The room faced into the central courtyard so didn't hear too much noise from the surrounding streets. It was also very cool thanks to the riad architecture so even though it was in the 30s when we visited we didn't need to turn on the AC. The roof terrace is a real highlight of the riad, with views towards the nearby El Badi Palace - you can even see the nesting storks! Having breakfast on the roof terrace each morning was the perfect, relaxing way to start the day. The breakfast consisted off fresh fruit or yoghurt, fresh mint tea/coffee, and a mix of traditional savoury and sweet bread/pancakes, which was just the right amount to set you up for the day.

When we decided to go to Marrakech, we were looking to have one Riad experience and this place has been totally fulfilling our expectation. The Riad, one authentic one, is really well placed (10 min walk to Marrakech center, in one historical and quiet environment, really appreciating it as relaxing after a long day of walking within Marrakech)(and only 15 min drive to the airport). Besides, people were always there to answer your questions/needs/requirements, really gentle and polite. And the place is well decorated, calm, with a great rooftop. Eventually, special thanks to all employees as we really enjoyed our 3 days stay there.

United KingdomWould be helpful to have very detailed information about how to find the Riad. It is tucked away on a Kasbah side street that is inaccessible by taxi and Google maps wasn't much help.
The breakfasts were marvelous. Daily variety, good quality, healthy, generous quantity. Moroccan French fusion. Beds are super comfortable. It was surprisingly peaceful given the activity all around.

The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and hospitable. We were greeted with Moroccan tea and biscuits and were then given suggestions about where to go and what to see. The Riad was gorgeous - both the terraces, the patio area as well as the rooms. Location was good as it was a short walk to popular areas. Would come back here in a heartbeat!

Everything has been exceptional. Laila is the kindest host and the riad is so peaceful and thoughtfully curated. We stayed in the Blue Room; it was incredibly quiet at night and the linens and pillows were amazing. My partner and I slept so well! The breakfast was abundant and typical (small note: it could be even better by offering fresh cheese and fruit!). We decided to dine at the riad one evening after a tour in Essaouira and the food was the best we had throughout our entire vacation – absolutely mouthwatering! Thanks for the amazing stay – we’ll definitely be back if we’re ever in Marrakesh again

My friend and I stayed a week at Clef's. We given a warm welcome from Morad. We had mint tea and biscuits and he marked out places to visit in Marrakech. The room was spacious with an ensuite, the beds were made and towels replaced whenever we required. The breakfast each morning consisted of different breads and spreads and amazing citrus pancakes which we had to get the recipe for! The coffee was also delicious and of a generous serving! The owner Laila was also very welcoming and took time to chat with us; she has created a beautiful space with amazing staff. Morad, Ayob and Mustafa were highlights of the place, nothing was too much of an ask and it was lovely to feel comfortable and have a chat when we crossed paths. A big shout out to Morad as he went above and beyond to source packaging materials for purchases we made and had to send home. He also weighed our parcels and inquired about the prices at the shipping company! We would definitely stay here again and will recommend this lovely accommodation to any friends and family that plan to visit Marakech. Thank you so much Clefs

Beautiful Riad in central location a short walk from the souks and also the gates out of the area to get taxi pickups. The owner and team couldn’t have been nicer and were always helpful to our changing plans even packing our breakfast to go when we went on an early day trip to the mountains.

The staff were wonderful, we left our bags in the morning before check in and went off to explore. Morad greeted us with a smile, a map and some really helpful tips to get around the city and fair prices for a taxi journey. Later when checking in we enjoyed some mint tea and later that evening we dined on a delicious banquet of tagine and moroccan salad on the roof terrace. Our room was a clean, comfortable and stylish haven, the whole riad was a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the busy medina and chaos of the city. It was a perfect location just a short walk from many of the historical sights and the busy square. It felt like a very safe area and the neighbours were friendly and warm. The breakfasts every morning were varied and delicious, a smorgasbord of traditional Moroccan delights. Would highly recommend! Thank you Morad and the rest of the team.

The place was well planned and clean. Also they have little soaps shaped like tagine pots, Berber designs etc that were great. The staff were really helpful, Ayoub in particular helped us a lot throughout our stay.

The perfect riad/hotel for my stay! The location is fantastic with just a few minutes walk to restaurants, shops, nearly anything you’d want is walkable and taxis are easily available as well. The owner and staff of the Riad were incredible! So welcoming and happy provide legitimate recommendations and anything you might need. There is a calming little pool with a fountain on the first floor and a beautiful, relaxing seating area on the rooftop. Pictures below of the sweetest cat of the riad relaxing with me.

Amazing experience at the Riad Clefs d'Orient. The staff was excellent and super friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond what would be expected of a hotel service. They gave awesome recommendations of things to do. The room was amazing, beautiful. It felt very authentic, and all things in the room were locally sourced. The Riad was very clean, and smelled amazing. Light and pleasant orange blossom smell in the entire property! The breakfast was good and filling, typical Moroccan food to complete the full Moroccan experience. Highly recommended!

United KingdomNo complaints at all.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted and taken to our room which was amazing. The Riad itself is beautiful with a lovely interior and various open spaces to relax. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. They gave us tips for stay as it was our first time in Morocco. The staff even organised a day trip to the desert for us, which included a camel ride, Quad biking a lovely dinner and a show. The breakfast every morning was delicious! Freshly made for a time we decide, no complaints at all! Location wise the riad is perfect.. not far from the souks and the square - maybe a 10 minute walk. A mosque is 5 minutes away from the riad and loads of cafes and restaurants close by. Big emphasis on how beautiful the Riad is and how lovely the staff are. A big thank you to them, especially Mohammad. It was a lovely experience - we will definitely visit again.
