How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe Riad was placed very centrally for the entire mid city. In 15 minutes the Souk is reached and everything is in walking distance. I was especially keen on the way a Riad works. It is a very comfortable and welcoming way of staying. Huge thank you to Said for being forthcoming and inclusive for visitors that ‘knew nothing’. If going to Marrakech this is the way to stay. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Riad Dar Nadwa and I would not hesitate to come back.
There was nothing not to like!

Verified reviewI really liked the Riad's inside garden and the breakfasts. Both Said, Mohammed and the all the staff were super helpful, professional and kind with us.
Our room was a little bit dark, it was a bit hard to get in natural light, but I suppose the building was built this way to handle the heat.

Verified reviewWe loved our stay in Riad Da Nadwa, its located within walking distance to everything you'd need, our room was lovely and spacious and cleaned every day, we especially loved the tasty Moroccan breakfast every morning. Although, it's the staff that really made this stay 5 star! Everyone was warm and welcoming, extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. They also arranged our transport to and from the airport! We will definitely be returning to this Riad on our next trip to Marrakech :)

Verified reviewThe breakfast was great. Freshly squeezed orange juice with nice coffee. Lots of Moroccan pastries, pancakes and breads with fresh fruit, honey and jams. Lots of food, and really enjoyable to eat on the terrace in the morning sun. Great location - quiet but near the main square in the medina.
The family suite was really big but it was just one big room rather than a separate area for kids.

Verified reviewFirst time in Morocco, Said was exceptional in making us feel welcome, truly accommodating all our needs, and going out of his way to make our experience the best it can be. We went to Fez for a few days after this, and Said arranged our tour guide in Fez who was the best. He didn't have to, but he called 8 people to find a good guide. Overall in this trip we have stayed in 3 Riads, and this was the best one, mainly due to the hospitality and friendliness of Said and the staff. My kids still remember Said. Lachen, the owner, is a true gentleman. In all my different Riad stays, Lachen's way of handling the costs for evening meals, excursions, taxis, etc that he managed was the most professional. He found the most value for money, and handled all money conversations with the customer in mind, and settled the bill at the end of the stay with care and professionalism. It's clear that he is a truly leading by example.
There is always something that can be improved. But they have figured out the trick that if you have exceptional and friendly service, all things not to perfect standard can be overlooked. And this is my experience here.

Verified reviewSuch a wonderful place- the kind of place you wish you booked more nights for… amazing hospitality by staff and manager. Multilingual service as well. Beautiful aesthetic throughout the space and great location close to souks (but not too close!). I have travelled to over 40 countries and this Riad is in my top ten of accommodations. Shukran Said and Lahcen!

Verified reviewThe riad was extremely nice and comfy. The staff was extremely helpful and kind to us. We surely advise to eat at least one dinner at the riad, the lemon chicken tajine was delicious. The room was spacious and clean, with beautiful furnishing. The riad is in the northern part of the Medina but only 10-15 mins walk to the market and 20-25 mins to the main square. Being inside the Medina it means that sometimes the air can smell a bit but the staff always had essence burners to fight it with a wonderful orange flowers parfume.

Verified reviewThe suff was super friendly and welcoming, made us feel like home and helped a lot with practical tips. Location is at a walking distance from the old town but also from the gardens Majorelle and YSL museum and a Carrefour supermarket. The rooms a big, comfortable and clean, and the rooftop terrace is very nice.
Nothing really.

Verified reviewA quiet and cosy traditional oasis, run by the most attentive, respectful, and friendly staff. Our experience at the riad was magnificent, and we can't wait to come back. Although we arrived very late at the riad due to a flight delay, we were greeted by a warm welcome and the most delicious beef tajine. The riad is traditional, stylish, and full of authentic and impressive Berber details. The room was very cosy, with a comfortable bed and a window opening to the central courtyard. A delicious breakfast served in a quiet courtyard while listening to the birds chirping and looking at the wonderful plants was a priceless experience. During our stay in Morocco, we changed 4 accommodations and met great local people, but such wonderful, attentive, and friendly staff we haven't found anywhere. All of them - owner Lahcen, our star Said and whole team, were really amazing - l can't find proper words to describe so warm hospitality. Thank you for everything. I hope we will be back soon. Verified reviewRiad Dar Nadwa offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for travelers. The Moroccan breakfast is delicious and satisfying, adding an authentic touch to the stay. The room is spacious enough for two people, and the bathroom is clean and well-maintained and has air-con. The staff is fantastic, not only cleaning our room daily but also being warm. Omar, Zaid, the ladies (sorry we forgot the name) and Lahcen are welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Additionally, they helped us arrange a taxi to and from the airport, making transportation hassle-free.

Perfectly quiet a night time, stunning decor and very lovely staff to make your stay very comfortable. Lachen checked in each evening to ensure we had had a lovely stay, gave us some tips for exploring in Marrakech. We had his number incase we needed anything, but didn't need to use this. Verified reviewSaeed and Omar were friendly and attentive. Although we managed to get lost initially once we got orientated the location is good for exploring the old town. We were well looked after and it was a delight to have breakfast in the courtyard. The terrace was good place to relax.
Hardly the fault of the riad that the call to prayer from a nearby mosque was very loud early in the morning! The same could be said about the ubiquitous motorbikes and the pervasive smell of petrol fumes! We got very good advice about what to avoid but still got stung a couple of times.

Verified reviewThis was a traditional Riad located in the Medina. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed into the house with Mint Tea served by Said. What a lovely touch this was. The location was an easy 20 minute walk from the Main Square Jemaa el-Fnaa. The walk took us through a number of neighbourhoods so we were getting to see people as they lived on a daily basis rather than just seeing the main tourist attractions. The Riad itself was traditional, just 5 rooms, a lovely terrace and a roof terrace. The breakfast had traditional breads, fruit, yogurt and a little treat that changed everyday and was served on the terrace. It was a lovely start to each day. What really made this Riad was the staff, just a small team of 4 people who greeted us every morning and evening, always checking how our trip was going and offering advice and guidance. The welcome and friendliness went way beyond what you would get in a corporate hotel. If you want to experience Marrakesh from the Medina, Riad Dar Nadwa is a great choice.

Verified reviewAmazing stay in Dar Nadwa, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, every morning we had something different. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Very traditional with lots of ornaments and nice wooden decorations. The rooftop is a nice place to chill out and have a coffee. The owner or the Riad - Lahcen is very helpful and communicates really quickly when needed. The guys working in the Riad, Omar and Said are so helpful and polite, always smiling.

Verified reviewBeautiful little Riad in the Marrakech medina . We had a lovely 3 days here, the staff were so accommodating and friendly, especially the two lovely guys that looked after us . Must make a special mention of SAID, he was sooo much fun and really made our stay that much more enjoyable, he is certainly in the right vocation,It’s often the people you meet not necessarily the places you visit! The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, breakfast was great and very generous . We would definitely recommend staying here.
