How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt is very secure and very clean. The people running the place are lovely and welcoming. The rooftop terrace is a little gem for some quiet, relaxing space.
Not so much as didn't like, but breakfast was a little repetitive. We stayed 5 days.

Verified reviewI really enjoyed my stay at Riad Dar Tamlil. I got a super friendly welcome with a glass of mint tea, which was a nice touch after travelling for a long time. My room was clean and comfortable, with a good bed, a small sitting area, and a private shower. The riad itself is beautifully decorated in a traditional Moroccan style, and the rooftop terrace is a great place to chill out. Breakfast was tasty and well taken care of every morning. A big shoutout to Hicham, who is such a kind and helpful man. He was always around and working hard. He really adds something special to the place. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, right between Jemaa el-Fnaa and Place des Ferblantiers. This means you’re close to the Bahia and Badi palaces, and just around the corner from Passage Prince Moulay Rachid, where you’ll find lots of nice restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Verified reviewThe location was very good, close to the Jemaa el-Fnaa. There are restaurants a few minutes walk away. Everything was very clean. The person at the reception and the lady who runs the riad were very nice 😍!!!The breakfast was very good. We had the opportunity to feel the authenticity of the place and we loved it. Thank you very much 😊
The water in the shower had no pressure, but it didn't necessarily bother us.

Verified reviewThe location is good. Just 5 mins walking from Jema AlFeena. Despite the narrow street, it's easy to be found following the instructions. Breakfast is good— some bread and spread, coffee & milk and simple pastries. Love the rooftop area where you can chill and relax
The room was a bit small but comfortable for 2 pax with 2 luggages. If you got the room on the second floor, you have to bring your luggage through narrow stairs, but nothing that we feel bad about. We are okay with it. Just it's probably not possible with people with immobility or old folkes. Wifi is okay but not perfect.

Verified reviewNot my first stay at this cutie of a Riad. Quiet, immaculate, comfy, rooms are spacious. Friendly welcome, and bye bye too as you can leave your heavy backpack after checkout. Location is ace, in a couple minutes you reach medina, sights, souks, restaurants, hammam, ... Do not miss Henna Art Café nearby and leave a generous tip for their staff and their philosophy! Thanks again for the lovely stay at Riad Dar Tamlil.
Nothing.

Verified reviewBreakfast was OK.
It was extemely hard to find -- there was no information about this when I booked -- and the people who showed the way asked for money. I was charged for driniking water -- even hotels with drinkable tap water provide bottled water for free, not for 3x the store price. The manager refused to call a taxi the last day. The room was cold and dark (low wattage bulbs, of which some didn't work).
We send a detailed access map to all guests upon booking, which we did for you on December 21, 2024. We gladly offer welcome water or tea upon arrival. In a commercial establishment during your stay, mineral water is an extra that you can buy at a reasonable price, increased as in most hotels. If you want to save a few cents, you can buy it directly in one of the grocery stores located less than 50 meters away. In case it's cold outside, please note that all rooms have reversible air conditioning (hot/cold)! If a light bulb is defective, it's more efficient to request a replacement from the on-site staff rather than writing a unpleasant review...

Verified reviewI have no choice that they are Very lucky for me to give them a high 3 Score only because the kindest lady Bouchra who tried her best to speak English and also tried to understand and help to my difficulties since I have arrived from the 1st day by Checking in! 1. I was given the Wrong amount to pay in Cash that I had to point out to them with Great difficulties they had made a Big mistake by trying to Overcharged me a few times that I have to dispute with them the Right amount I had booked with them! 2 The breakfast was awful especially by at least not getting a Omelette of the most expensive money I have paid for a 3 day stay with breakfast included that I have to beg just to get a Omelette of every other Riad it is included for a cheaper price apart from this Fake Riad so I had no choice at the end to go outside to buy my own breakfast at least I got my Proper Omelette full breakfast! 3 The Biggest issue of which I have never experience in my life by paying way over the Top rate! Nghtmare from Hell Started by not having no Water at all evening a tiny drop of Water hardly came from the Tap for 3 days just to take a Shower or even use the Sink just to Wash my Face in the hot weather that I demanded to speak to a Manager to fix the problem that the matter never got resolved at all for the 3 days I stayed! Big Surprised that I was falsely accused that I bloke the Door lock that even the Man name Yusuf who always look miserable started shouting at me with by giving me False accusation after i have made so many Complaint about the Water instead he started making up Stupid excuse so that way i still had no Water leaving me no other choice to go and find another place just to have a Simple shower when they had Misleading me with the Fake Reviews leaving with a Nightnare experience!
Dear Sir, as we have already reported to Booking customer service, your behavior during your stay was not respectful towards the staff and other guests. (Breakfast tray thrown at staff, other customers unpleasantly bothered, broken lock, etc...) The staff's patience with you was severely tested during your stay! For the rest, we do not consider it useful to respond to your confused and disjointed comment which does not correspond to reality and to the opinions of more than 700 customers who give us an average of 8.8 out of 10. Best regards.
