How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe riad is perfectly located in the heart of Marrakech, allowing us to reach all the city's main points of interest on foot. The atmosphere is enchanting, an oasis of calm and beauty amidst the hustle and bustle of the medina. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and traditionally furnished. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to meet our needs with a smile. The breakfast served in the inner courtyard was a true triumph of flavors: a wide selection of sweet and savory foods, perfect for starting the day with energy. I highly recommend this riad to anyone wanting an authentic experience. Marrakech is a place for relaxation and exploration.

Verified reviewEverything was charming. The ambience, the quietness, the location. The young men who look after the place were very polite and welcoming. It was warming to have a nice welcome with a pot of morroccan tea after my long journey! Rachid and his colleague were so kind and went out of their way to make sure everything is comfortable. They even kindly helped my find a taxi when I left early morning. This small riad is a gem hidden in a small unpresumptuous alley in Riad Larouse area. Recommended for those who seek quietness.
A kettle in the room would have been perfect for someone who likes to drink tea late at night. Towels could use some renewing but that wasn't much of a concern.

Verified reviewThe stay at this hotel was really successful! The staff was very nice, helpful and always smiling - you could feel the warm atmosphere right away. The rooms were clean. The location was great - close to the most important attractions, but also quiet. The breakfasts were tasty and fresh. I definitely recommend this hotel and I would be happy to come back here again!
The initial change of room to another building was a downside, but the friendliness of the staff made up for it.

Verified reviewOur stay at this Riad could not have been better. Every day we were greeted with a smile and a helpful hand, for whatever we needed. The staff were amazing and the room was perfect for us. It is nicely located just outside the walking section of the Medina, very easy for taxis to pick up and drop off, but also less than a 5 minute walk into the walking section of the Medina. The AC is a lifesaver after walking around in the Moroccan heat all day. Hassan in particular made our stay so special. He even packed us a breakfast to-go for our early departure the last day. We thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to come back soon!
We enjoyed everything about our stay!

Verified reviewThe property is in a good location, close to the souk(but quiet and peaceful) and about 5 minutes walk from a major pick up point for most of the tour organizers. The staff are very accommodating and helpful, especially Saheed - very friendly and ensured we are comfortable all through the 4 days we were there. He even went out of his way to ensure we had our breakfast packed early on days we had to go out for the day as early as 6am even though their breakfast hour is from 8am, also helped us book a nice Hammam close to the Riad. He always offered us drinks - the nice Moroccan tea and made us feel very welcome always saying the place is our home. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Marrakech.
The bedroom has no refrigerator though Saheed helped keep our drinks in a fridge somewhere in the property. The mats on the floor in the bedroom we were can also do with a replacement.

Verified reviewThe riad was in a very good location - just outside the centre of the medina but close enough that everything was walking distance. The area was also quite quite at night. It was also very to find according to google maps. The staff there were all very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for the both of us since we only travelled with backpacks. If you have a suitcase it will be cramped. The whole place was very clean and nicely decorated. The AC worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple but nice and could request it at certain times if needed. Good wifi connection. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Marrakech.
Nothing!

Verified reviewFront desk staff very helpful and kind. Tea upon arrival and offered to pack breakfast for us since we had to leave early morning. We were given a great recommendation for dinner. There’s an ice cream shop around the corner.
Some street noise as expected with the area, but it was very quiet after 10 pm. Front desk staff super apologetic regardless, but it really wasn’t bad at all.
