Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRegarding the room there were 2 issues that we had. The first was the fact the bedroom light was a bit dim and we had to leave the toilet light on as well to improve the brightness. Secondly, the shower pressure could be improved, at least when running the cold water.
To start the location of the riad was perfect we were less than a 10 minute walk to Jemma El Fenna and there was a corner shop nearby to get toiletries and food/snacks. The riad served breakfast every morning prepared by Aziz and Ameena and it allowed us to start our day with a great variety of traditional morrocan food. This was a perfect way to kick off our day of walking around the souq. We also really like to highlight the hospitality shown to us by Aziz even up to the last evening before we left! He was highly knowledgeable and provided us a lot of guidance on how to get around and recommendations of places to visit. We would definitely come back and stay here if we visited marrakech again.

The room was spacious with comfy beds and good AC. The staff were lovey and very accomodating. Despite being a 2 minute walk from the medina it was very peaceful and quiet. Wonderful location to walk to all the site seeing spots and the main square.

IrelandI feel the swimming pool should probably be renamed, it's more so a pond in the centre of a lot of tables! Shower pressure was low.
Beautiful little spot in the heart of the Medina. Went above and beyond for dietary requirements, providing gluten free pastries. Incredible staff who were very helpful and kind. The Hammam and Massage is absolutely fabulous, highly recommend! (With a friend, unsure if I'd do it by myself). Very fast responses to queries online before and during the stay. I wish I'd gone up to the roof as it looked beautiful, but sore legs after hiking! They gifted us a kit of facial care stuff when leaving, a lovely last touch. And the bathroom provides nice toiletries (good for light travellers!). Great aircon as well. Would definitely stay again!

ThailandThe main staff could have been friendlier. The breakfast should have some meat; it was mainly carbs. Also the breakfast was the same over different days. The transfer organised by the riad was alright; however, after arriving at the airport, the chauffer asked for extra 200 MAD, even though I have paid at the Riad and have confirmed there are no extra fees. Saying things like "chauffer" "driving", which left a sour taste. Hammam was barely 30 minutes instead of the promised hour, they just poured water over my friend's head without actually washing it after. The location of the riad is also a bit secluded so it's a bit scary when we go back in the evening.
The riad itself is very cute and well decorated! it's so different from the streets of marrakesh. The old men was very friendly, helped with lugguages and always has a smile on his face.

United KingdomIf you are a first time traveller to the backstreets of the Medina. the approach to the riad can seem intimidating. In reality its all in your head, and it leads to a very quiet location and opens into this wonderful peaceful riad away from the endless noise of main streets.
There has been a lot of thought put into the design and finish of the decor, and the riad is finished to a high standard, and living up to the photos. It's a wonderful place to escape the noise of the medina and recharge.

SwitzerlandWe ended up at Riad Dar Yema unexpectedly after our flight was cancelled late at night – exhausted, frustrated, and honestly not in the best mood. Despite that, Aziz welcomed us with incredible kindness and patience, helped us calm down, and made us feel safe and cared for. He even offered us breakfast the next morning, although we hadn’t booked it. That small gesture meant a lot after a chaotic travel day. The Riad itself is quiet, clean, and charming – the perfect place to reset. We didn’t get to say goodbye to Aziz before leaving, but we truly appreciated his warmth. Thank you for your hospitality – we won’t forget it.

BrazilIt is well-located, in the heart of the Medina, but the problem is also that it is in the heart of the Medina. Let me explain this contradiction: for a young couple it is ok to stay at the Riad because it is near everything in the Medina and you get used to all the noise and crowds that makes the Medina such a special place. But it is not easy to reach carrying bags and I wouldn't recommend it to older couples or families with toddlers. Otherwise, it is an incredible place and it was a terrific stay for us.
Great breakfast, nice location (but it has some issues) and a very helpful staff. The Riad is beautiful and has a good value for your money.

TurkeyThe only disadvantage is ordering or finding taxi during the day/night time ourself, when the traffic is not allowed, it was difficult as we need to walk to Koutoubia around 15-20min.
We arrived to Marrakech late night and arranged our transfer with Riad. Our driver contacted us few hours before our arrival although Riad mentioned that we would be contacted a day before. Despite the fact, our transfer to Riad was smooth. Upon arrival, we were served with hot mint tea and cookies in the midnight. Our room was in the ground floor, where they serve breakfast but other guests were respecting our guests as there were no noise in the morning. Our room in ground floor was dark but comfortable. It is almost not possible to find a Riad where your room is so bright and taking day light. We could lock our room while going out. Breakfast was the best with lot of varieties we would expect ever in Morocco. Ladies working at the riad were kind and smiling all the time. We were asked many times if we need something. Riad is located in Medina which is 10 min walking distance to Jemaa el-Fna. We didn't feel unsecure while going back to Riad in the nights. On our last day during checkout, we requested Riad to keep our luggage for a day as we had a trip to Essaouira. Without any hesitation, they accepted to keep them. When we arrived back after a day, we got our luggage back. A lady gifted me traditional Moroccan facial products on the last day. We would highly recommend.

Breakfast of great and Azziz and the girls are breakfast are amazing and breakfast if fantastic. Azziz was also great with our toddler and she really took a shine to him and literally just asked about him at home. Great riad recommend to everyone. Nice rooftop to relax with nice sun loungers.

United KingdomLovely Riad and great staff. The atmosphere is very calm and serene and I felt we were well looked after. The location is a bit out of the way and if unfamiliar with how busy Marrakech this can make you nervous. Once you find it and get more familiar with the location however you notice it's fine. The staff were also active on this site and answered any questions I had in advance. One thing that might put some people off is that there is a key to borrow if you want to stay out late, you won't get your own access. On the one hand this creates a quiet atmosphere as people won't be coming in at all hours, on the other I'm not sure what happens if more than one person has taken the key? The staff said they'd be around all night so I imagine it would be fine but felt it important to note. Lastly the breakfast was brilliant in our eyes. Pancakes, fruits, coffee and constantly asked if we wanted more. Highly recommend.

United KingdomI had an incredible stay at this stunning Riad. It was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with a traditional atmosphere that was truly charming. The staff were absolutely lovely and polite, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The homemade breakfast, made with fresh local ingredients, was delicious and a perfect way to start the day. The location was incredibly convenient, right in the heart of the city, and we were able to walk everywhere with ease. I highly recommend this Riad and will definitely return for another stay. United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike here.
I liked my room, very comfortable bed, good linen, excellent hot shower too. Very clean everywhere. The location was near the souk & the main square- it felt alive with everything happening. When I sat on the lovely roof terrace to enjoy the sunshine, it was very peaceful, just heard the birds chirping. The best thing at this lovely Riad- are the Staff. Aziz provided me with an I phone charger as I had bought the wrong one. Ben helped resolve a transport issue. The Staff are All professional, friendly & caring, they want you to enjoy Marrakech & the tranquility at the Riad. I chose Riad dar Yema because of the consistently high ratings from other guests- just take the time to read them. The breakfasts were varied & sometimes too much- but they set you up for the morning. The local riads work closely with Salah & his brother to provide taxi transfers, which works well & doesn’t take long from the airport. Thank you all.
