How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIncredible place, so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make our stay a very memorable 1. Hafida is the loveliest lady, so kind and caring. Not forgetting her sister and nephew Abdul, they were great. Abdul great fun! Truly an experience we will never forget.

Verified reviewI was greeted with the utmost hospitality by Habib, who arranged a transfer for the airport and met me at the riad with tea, even though it was 1am. The riad itself is beautiful and the room was perfect. Habib made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay and was available at all times. The breakfast provided was also delicious and flexible. A great place to stay in Marrakech!

Verified reviewI had a wonderful stay at the Riad. The manager, Habib, was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the start—he took the time to explain how the city works and suggested the best routes to take. He also stayed in touch throughout our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly, which we really appreciated. The cook was absolutely lovely—she prepared delicious traditional dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed, and she made us feel very comfortable and at home. Her son was also very kind and friendly, adding to the warm atmosphere of the place. Overall, the Riad itself was beautiful, spotless, and well-maintained. The location was excellent—just a short walk from the markets of Marrakech, which made exploring the city easy and convenient. Highly recommend!

Verified reviewOur stay at Riad Davia was more than we could ask for. I don't think we have ever felt so looked after on holiday with Habib making us feel beyond special and well looked after. He arranged taxis when needed, arranged a private tour into the Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley and our driver took us to a beautiful restaurant by the river. We felt like royalty! Zainab the house keeper, her son and other girls also made our stay perfect. The breakfast was amazing and served with a smile. I've never left a review before but I couldn't not. Thank you Habib for an exceptional stay.
Nothing we didn't like, but it is quite a walk from the souks and Medina. Easily 20 minutes which doesn't sound a lot but in streets full of the locals, the bikes and not as many tourists, it can feel a little overwhelming. But the plus side is you are literally 5 minutes from where you can get picked up for tourist trips!

Verified reviewProperty was clean and staff were very friendly, supportive, and accommodating. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was working well. Breakfast was selection of lovely breads at a time that suited guests. The staff really helped with directions, and provided a map of the area as well as advice on. The local area. Staff arranged a day trip to Atlas Mountains and desert tour with private taxi and also arranged all our taxis for the few day which really added to our experience.
At first the location of the riad felt somewhat intimidating but when we got familiar with the route it was no problem. Where is hot and cold water in the shower but it was a bit tricky to regulate.

Verified reviewThe Riad is very nice and everything is very clean. In the patio and the rooms it is not hot at all compared to the outside. The best thing about the Riad is the attention of both its manager and the workers. Habib super attentive and good person. We have not been able to choose better accommodation.

We were warmly welcomed with a cup of tea, which was a thoughtful touch, and there was also a complimentary bottle of water provided in the room. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience — highly recommended!

Verified reviewThis is a beautiful place with delightful staff. It is an oasis of calm when the busy and hot city of Marrakech is on the other side of the wall! We were very comfortable. It is a good idea to get the owner to sort out your transport as it isn’t possible to get a taxi right to the door. It is a 4 minute walk and the driver will take you or pick you up. It isn’t far to walk to the main square and the owner will give you all the information that you need. Lovely breakfast. Great place to stay in Marrakech.

Verified reviewStaff went way above and beyond and made us feel like part of the family. Dinner was exceptional. Beautiful building. Rooms are simple but great value for money. Location is a bit removed from the main tourist areas, which was nice, but required a bit of a walk to reach restaurants etc.

Verified reviewIt is a wonderful oasis of calm in the bustling Medina. The manager arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and also taken back. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were amazing. We had dinner there twice and the home cooked food was delicious. The next time I'm in Marrakech, I will definitely be staying there again.
Nothing to dislike.

Verified reviewThis is the real deal riad. It is in the Medina so you do have to walk to get there but that is part of the fantastic experience. From the outside it is unassuming. From the inside it is beautiful and amazing.
