How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocation was excellent in centre of Medina. The riad is beautifully decorated. Our ground floor room was nice and cool in the heat of the summer. There's is no aircon though. Staff was lovely and friendly. Breakfast is very simple but nice.
Think the top rooms will be very hot in summer .. aircon might be good. But our room on the ground floor was lovely and cool.

Verified reviewThe host goes above and beyond—offering a level of care, presence, and attention to detail that exceeds even high-end hotels. Every request was met with warmth and grace, and nothing was ever forgotten or delayed. The space itself is beautiful, but what truly gives this riad its soul is the host’s energy. You don’t just stay here—you’re looked after. That alone makes it rare.

Verified reviewTo be honest nothing to be liked at this property 😕
The location of the property is confusing The property is really run down The beds are not comfortable, and rooms are full of damp and dirt. The toilet facilities are outside of the room and has to be shared with other customers( despite advertised as private bathroom) Parking is not available ( despite advertised parking available) The staff (Amine ) is very rude and not welcoming and very argumetive with customers ( if you don't like it go somewhere else 🙄) Toilet facilities are old and dirty
Hello, we are in the reception in mathematics. These customers were booked with us, and when I sent him here, they entered the house and were talking on the road far from them. I told them that the mathematics subject is located on the main street in the old city. They were talking in unusual words. Monday, when I told them that your room is on this second floor, he said, “No, we want it on the first floor.” We changed the room for them on the first floor, and they were happy. They thanked us. In the end, we were surprised by this comment. I do not understand how these types of people, when you talk to them, it is reasonable and you tell them that we are in the hotel asking for a marriage contract. They came to ask for a marriage contract, then I kissed them. They were upset. Why did you ask us for a marriage contract? He is a foreign tourist and a Moroccan woman. It is legal for me to ask him. This is the law of the official. The law of the official. The house told us all this information. If there is a Moroccan and a foreign woman, we ask them to speak Moroccan and foreign. These things are not true. They think that they will break the sanctuary of mathematics and a number of things that I do not understand. Goodbye and thank you.

Verified reviewThe decor, the room, the terrace, the tea on arrival was all fantastic.
The breakfast was just bread, butter, and honey and mint tea, We just expected a bit more. Also, we had not even checked in and the man was talking about taking us to his mother's carpet shop and how we could ship it home. We just felt quite pressured and it's bad enough outside, we wanted to relax in our hotel.

Verified reviewWe have been warmthly welcomed by the staff with the traditionnal morrocan tea.
The pictures are far beyond different from the reality. We used to stay in Riad but this one was so tiny for family with kids. We have been disappointed it was not what attracted us through the pictures. Also the hot water was not available in the wash basin... The breakfast has been served directly in the cup knowing how cold Fes is we needed to reheat the coffee before enjoying it.

Verified reviewThe place is in the medina, colorful, joyful, full of people, ancient. The family is very helpful and friendly. Good food, good views of the old city from the terrace. They organised with an agent a wonderful trip to the mountains Atlas.
We had a double bed and a single one. The small bed was very hard. It was difficult to find the place, but people in the medina were friendly enough to call, and one of the sons came to pick us up and could reach the place.

Verified reviewLocation of this Riad is absolutely perfect. It’s situated in the middle of the medina so you don’t have to walk far to experience Fès. The owners were really friendly and super helpful! They upgraded our room after the first night, extended our stay by 3 nights, and organised 2 day trips to Meknes and Chefchaouen for us. We would definitely come back again.
